Bug-fix release for Toad's Tool 64, now at version 0.3b.

http://homepage.mac.com/qubedstudios/ToadsTool64.htm

Fixes are:

•A bad bug in Windows that was triggered when right-clicking causing TT64 to crash or refresh the window was eliminated.
•Some imported textures weren't correctly saved to ROM (creating a dot in the corner). This should now be fixed.
•The "Rotate Camera" button should now be hilighted as it should, when a level is loaded.
•Manually entering decimal values in the parameter bar would cause the wrong number to be entered instead. Also fixed.
•On Windows TT64 should now stop using CPU cycles when it's window is deactivated or minimized.
•Fixed a bug where clicking on cancel when opening a ROM would generate a script error.

Drag: I don't know what to do about the bug you experience, it doesn't have anything to do with my code, it's a Director application and/or Windows bug. My code is simply "set this text line to be yellow" and Director is supposed to take care of the rest. I noticed some similar but less severe problem in the Command list when I tested the program on Windows (like only 2 pixels of misalignment), but I'm clueless about why it happens on your machine. Maybe I could try to switch the font or properties of the text field and it would fix it.

I have been having so much trouble with the extender. I have gotten a ROM from 2 sites and a GoodN64 torrent named Super Mario 64 (U) [!].z64 and for each one it would complain about not finding the MIO0 files. Is this the incorrect file or is the ROM from those 3 places corrupted?

If you get a message that says "MIO0 files could not be found", I have a feeling your ROM is fine. In the same folder as the ROM extender, there should be a folder named MIO0files, which I'm guessing is missing or corrupted. Try re-downloading the ROM extender.

i wonder if there is anyway to just get the renderer to stop using software and only use opengl for us vista users.

This is freaking awesome. Fantastic job. I personally cant really get much out of it, the controls are too awkward and my comp cant seem to keep up with the camera movements at a usable pace. But I can see pro's making completely new levels and new challenges. Good stuff.

Hey guys! I'm already working on a hack, but the door warps have completely screwed me over. I'm so confused! All I'm trying to do is make one door warp to another, and I used the 2 doors from the castle entrance inside the castle. VL-Tone, would you mind making a warp log or something, because I've been confused about this, and it's not becoming any clearer to me. It took me long enough to find out why one of my doors crashed the game when I opened it, and I eventually figured out that the key parameter was set differently thean the "first" param I saw. Viewing a warp door in expert mode shows 2 key params and 2 warp ID params. Do the 2 warp params represent the door's currently assigned warp and its destination warp? Presets have also confused me as I can't seem to change the warp other than the one in the preset.

So if you can make a log sometime after your vacation, that'd be great for me, and possibly some others. Thanks for posting here!

I have already made three custom missions in Bob-omb battlefield, and used so of the unused textures for the inside and outside of the castle.
Is it possible to get a chain chomp in the castle grounds (outside) by changing geometry layout pointers? I can't seem to find the right bank ID of a pointer to do so.

.
All of a sudden, some objects quit showing up, like red coins. How can I edit the red coin mission if I can't move the read coins?

This is AWESOME!!! Finally found a good sm64 rom.
Unfotunately my PC is rather old and the editor is slow on it....
But even if i could edit it without slowdowns, I couldn't play it anyways...

(PIII, ~400MHz, ATI Rage Pro, ~256MB RAM, 10GB HD [lol])

But when i get a new PC, I'm sure to have fun SM64 editing!!

Hey, did anyone notice textures 108 and 109? Call me crazy, but that looks a heck of a lot like a Blargg's eye... Is there any way to apply it to the Beta Blargg? I don't think VL made it so we can change textures yet, but if he can do it, that'd be freakin' awesome. Also, does anyone know which texture is the one that covers Metal Mario?

The same one used for the metal warp, it looks all shiny grey, with purple streaks... can't remember it's number though.

is it actually possible to edit textures in levels? for example change the colour of the castle by using a different texture? i havent found anything that suggests i can add different textures into levels.

Go get Tile molester and knock yourself out.

XD the sad thing is, toad's tool has a built in texture import/exporter and he could not find it. >.>That eliminates (most of ) the need for tile molester in SM64

Oh no, he didn't find it on his own. How sad. Let's laugh at him.
