Okay, I'm dumb. What's wrong with him posting this?

EDIT: Oh, and "Nifty" for the actual editor, although I haven't tried it yet.

You will need this program to extend the rom, or else it won't open in TT.

There we go, a little bit of preparation.

Nothing wrong really. Just keep this thread more to speculations and glitch findings than pointless n00b questions. We don't need the past happening again.

The first glitch I see is when you right-click in the 'move camera' grid a lot, the program crashes.

Also, the listbox on the left that lists all the objects is misaligned. (half of the topmost item is obscured by the "3d objects" bar, and when something's highlighted, half of the selected item, and half of the next item is highlighted)

I notice that if the ROM isn`t extended so much (i guess if your prgram crashes on you it messes up the 3-d grapics on the editor.

Wow--The program was worth the wait! It takes a little while to get used to, but afterwords--wow!
I made numerous Chain Chomps in the courtyard

He explains that on his site. Go check it out in his blog.

EDIT:

A video I made of it.

TT64 itself runs under wine, but the ROM extender doesn't

Hey I was supposed to start this thread

Nahhh It's ok I don't mind, I didn't have time to post here this afternoon.

So I'm back posting here, though I was already posting, undercover, under the name Concertmate-200. (Look on google and you'll understand the link between these two names)

Just dropping by for now, it's been a stressful day, I got back from work not so long ago. Tonight I'm gonna relax, watch some movies... I need to get my mind set on something else for a few hours. Tomorrow I'm gonna finish the documentation, improve the webpage and fix some bugs.

BTW, did you know that June 23rd 2007 will be the 11th anniversary of SM64's Japanese release?

Drag, I'm aware of the right-click issue, I can't find the solution for now. It's a Director related issue, since even when I disabled all "rightmouseup" handlers in my code, this bug still happens. Right-clicking on anything except the 3d view will trigger this bug, and it only happens on the main interface page... But I'd like to know, when you say it "crashes" what do you mean exactly, is it an OS crash, or a script error?

As for the list box bug, could you please post a screenshot of this? And on what platform did you run it?

The arrow points to the item that's selected, and the list is at the top, but the first item gets obscured.

And the right click crash is an os crash, and not a script error, and I'm using Windows XP Media Center.

There's a new release out now, version v0.2b.

You can now click on objects in the level viewing area to select them. You couldn't do that previously because of a bug.

It makes it a heck of a lot easier to use.

Damn; the rom extender says it needs a .v64 format file and I can only find an .n64 format file.

Can I get around this, or am I screwed?

I tried a couple different ROMs, and the one that worked for me had the extension .z64.

If you have a .n64 ROM, you might want to try this. I haven't tried it myself, but it might work.

Woot, having some fun with this. Having a few problems figuring everything out, but I've been able to move beyond the "move everything around omgglitches!!!" phase and actually create challenges. So far I have three new star missions in Bob-Omb Battlefield, one of which has you rushing around for red coins surrounded by a trio of large chain chomps.
