Overrated:
*Halo 2: OMGZ TEH GRAFEX (and to all you people who say Halo 1 isn't online so you play Halo 2... no fail... Xbox Connect stupids) *Gears of War: Again OMGZ TEH GRAFEX *Most PC games: Must I say it... yes.. I must... OMGZ TEH GRAFEX *Shadow the Hedgehog: You gave him a fucking gun... so what... *Sonic CD: I enjoyed it as much as any other classic sonic game. I don't see a need to brand it as the BEST ONE EVER though... Underrated: *Double Dragon II: My personal favorite. Good music. Good looking for NES. I also think it has better control too. *Sonic Heroes: Good gameplay. BAD STORY LINE. (Movie before Metal Overlord battle nearly made me throw up. I quote- "THE TRUE SUPER POWER OF TEAM WORK" not Sonic but his modern clone) *LoZ-WW: I enjoyed Celda 
*Animal Crossing: I remember so many people hating this game and giving it horrible reviews. But it's actually quite a fun sim (if you call it a sim <<) *FF VII: So what if people worship it as a god... it's still not that bad of a game... ____________________ |

Overrated:
Shadow the Hedgehog: The commercial it ain't Pretty much all sonic games that aren't Sonic Adventure (and that was borderline) Zelda OoT- Yea I liked it in the past but there is no point in redoing it for the GC Mario Party Series- Getting kinda repetitive aren't ya? It was good until 5, okay 6 is the farthest I'd go but thats only for their mic games. Underrated: Kirby 64- Not many people ever talk about it when talkin' 'bout the classics Pikmin 2- Sorry but I love having an army of 2" tall creatures Kirby Air Ride- People talked smack about it but its really fun. ...Guys, please stop listing games that are almost universally hated (Shadow, Sonic '06, Sonic games past Sonic Adventure 2) as overrated. I don't think I need to explain my reasoning on this. |

Sonic CD has always been my favorite regardless of its simplicity. I mean there's Sonic, and that's it. That's all I want too. Knuckles is fine and dandy but why waste my time gliding and climbing walls when I just want to spin around shit and jump all over the place and keep up with the speed! Topped off with awesome levels, some weird past/future concept, had the most enjoyable Emerald stages out of the series, incredible OST's (both versions), with great anime cutscenes comparable to Sonic SatAM (not to mention this series ties in with Sonic CD in a few episodes), introduced Metal Sonic even before Sonic 2 ... I just loved it. Though I always hated how easy the final boss was.
On a related note I'll say that Sonic the Hedgehog is underated. Its always about Sonic 2, S&K, etc. Green Hill Zone baby. And stage 6-3 is still by far the scariest level in any Sonic games. |

See, S3&K now that's overated!
But I don't really care. I'd probably rank Sonic CD and S&K equally. Notice I didn't include the 3 there. Sonic 3 was just, bad. Music was terrible too (besides Hydrocity and Icecap zones). S&K is drastically superior. Playing the two together is fun and all, but for the most part 3 has always been extremely unmemorable to me. |

I love all the classic sonic games on the same level but I must say Sonic 2 higher than most. You guys might bitch about me loving my Sonic 2 but it's not because of anything the game has to offer. It's more like... I have a "childish" feeling whenever I play it. It's like I revisit myself at 5. Sonic 2 has a very special place in my heart.
When I first got into the emu scene, I downloaded the Sonic 2 beta rom and I felt like my body was melting into goo ... and you can't believe how I felt when I got the DRX beta. My God... that moment was amazing. I also was quite overjoyed when I got the Sonic CD betas too but as I said, I have a special place in my heart for Sonic 2 .____________________ |

Underrated
Sa2 GCN version(AKA Sa2B)- alright, I'll say it, pretty much all the 3d sonic games have been crap, except the adventure ones, they were PLATFORMERS, not puzzles, or shooters, but actual FREAKING PLATFORMERS, plus the voice acting ISN'T 4kids voice actors (WOOHOOO!) Yoshis's story N64- I hate it when people compare this to yoshi's island. They aren't the same game, get used to it. This one was good, but short and easy, still, it's underrated... we need a level editor, that might perk things up! =P Hey You Pikachu! N64- Most people don't talk about this game, but it was genuinely fun, you got to yell at pikachu, and once you unlock the third mode, it really picks up from there. I'll get some overrated games down in my next post ____________________ |

I like mostly every Sonic game pre-Adventure, with Sonic 360 being the worst Sonic game ever, in my opinion.
Has anyone here ever played SimTower? That game was kinda underrated... |

Sonic and the secret rings was HORRIBLE, and it was better than 360!
Overrated I'm gonna make people angry with these! Sonic 2 Genesis- Best sonic game EVER, but still, it's overrated. I mean so much was added and the music was awesome, but still, sonic 3 doesn't get any attention because it's the middle child of the genesis (sonic 1 already left home and moved) Pokemon Pearl & Diamond DS- It's new, It' looks good, so what? the best to me are still the GBC ones! I'm a little biased because I don't have Diamond or pearl, but thats all everyone talks about!! whenever I play gold, someone sees, and they start ranting about the new games! Plus I have more pet peeves about this game! 1. People new to the franchise think that STAB was just added, uhh... NO! it just was never talked about 2. Toning down of The first 6 starters, the Kanto and Johto starters have been toned down, the most was Typhlosion, making thunder punch into a normal attack really took a blow on his strength against water types, now I'd have to do special EV training to use him around water types. and number 3! The amount of legendaries they added is just too over the top in this game, plus you still have the 20 others to get into there, thats too many! ____________________ |
