It looks like you guys are mainly covering NES games I found this code randomly almost 8 years ago and it really helped me out.

Sonic 3 - Stage Select & Debug
AA6T-AAXC

Most if not all of you may already know about it but I wanted to share what little knowledge I have with you

Hee....I've had that code memorized since I found it.

Hi,

Does any one here know of any Game Genie codes for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive only game "Mega Man: The Wily Wars"?

The game wasn't released in the USA (other than it appearing on the short-lived "Sega Channel" service), but, MM:TWW is a compilation of the first three MM games originally released for the Nintendo NES.

The specific codes (represented as xxxx-xxxx) I want for MM:TWW are:

*Infinite energy
*Infinite lives
*Faster running

As I said before, the games represented here are Mega Man (1987), Mega Man 2 (1988) and Mega Man 3 (1990).

Thank you,

Ben

SMB1 MUSIC-CHANGING CODES

Sure, I've known of such music-changing codes in Super Mario Bros. 1, like:

KAEPYO - Normal underwater theme music in all levels
TVVOAE - Modified underwater theme music in overworld only
Any *PPPPP code - Rearranges theme music throughout

But, can you guys think of any that will induce the following in specific parts of the game, such as those that may bring:

*Normal underwater theme music in the overworld
*Modified underwater theme music in the underwater
*Normal underground theme music in the castle

We have to figure out which raw values and addresses to alter to get this combo.

Thank you,

Ben

A lot of NES codes are easy to find out typing them in randomly, but there is a tool out there that allows you to create your own. The tool is actually an emulator called FCEUXD SP and has a game genie decoder/encoder built in, among other tools.

I'm speaking as if you've never heard of it before. I dunno why, but maybe it deserves a good introduction once in a while?

Anyway, if you have knowledge of how the NES works, you can create some killer GG codes for games!

I made a SMB3 debug patch that enables debug mode and adds in alot of other effects to minipulate gameplay.

Where is it, then?

OK, here are some of the SMB GG codes I'd discovered that will bring up the normal underwater theme music on the outside:

LGPPPP
SYPPPP
VTPPPP

Try 'em all for yourself.

I remember finding this one while screwing around, and being somewhat amused:
Super Mario Bros: ININIT - 1-1 music is always playing

Sure it does, even during the lives remaining screen. Any similar codes like this, but with a hexadecimal address of 0x9107?

Anyone know the PAR codes for SMW that allow you to activate the level endings by pressing A or Sel+A while paused?

They didn't work for me, what might I be doing wrong? I'm using ZSNES v1.36 if that matters.

Does anyone know of any Game Genie code (either six or eight letters) for the NES version of Jackal that will allow you to retain your Prisoners of War after death?

I know the classic GG codes for the NES version of Jackal are:

SZTPSI - Infinite lives for both players
PAPKXZ - Both players 1 and 2 start with 1 life
PAPKXX - Both players 1 and 2 start with 9 lives
GXZTSG - Keep weapons after death
LEZTKG - Full weapons after death

This may sound like an odd request, but would anybody be willing to make a moon jump code for Super C?

More SMB1 codes, this batch MUCH more awesome than my previous.

...actually I don't feel like editing and then copypasta'ing, since it's a bit of a large post, so I'll just link to the thread instead:

Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Bros. 2

OZKONE
TUNOPA
I'll let you figure out what they do, because I forgot which is which and I'm too lazy to load up the ROM.

I tried the second SMB2 code you found in Super Mario Bros. 1, and that changed the between-level music to the underwater theme (not knowing this and OZKONE were for SMB2 at first).

Apologies for bumping what is apparently a mostly (if not, by this point, completely) dead thread, but I was wondering if someone here could create an Intagibility code for Battletoads. I have only managed it once (by accident) before, and like an idiot, I never wrote it down. >.< Needless to say, it was anywhere from one to three lines.

Either someone making it for me, or help on how to make it MYSELF would be most appreciated.

Super Mario Bros. 3:
OSEZZE - SEVERE glitch code, very unpredictable results. Possible effects include the following:

-Spontaneous spawning of Donut Lifts. Whenever Mario touches a tile of empty space, there's a good chance it will try to become a Donut Lift. If you stand on it long enough, it will fall like normal, but if you don't let it fall, it will become a solid (but often odd-looking) block.

-Spontaneous clears. Various actions (often hitting a ? block) will clear the level. It will just fade out, return to the map screen, and the level tile will flip over as if you had cleared it. Less often, spontaneous deaths will occur in the same fashion. All of a sudden the level will fade out, you will return to the map screen, and sent spinning back to your last checkpoint.

-Sound becomes messed up. Most of the time this manifests as trills and bleeps and bloops that accompany the usual music and sound effects, but sometimes you can get REALLY weird alarm-like sounds, or music will play off-key or shift between various songs in the soundtrack.

-Level garbage. Sometimes entire sections of levels will become mashed up masses of random tiles.

To see it in action, go here.
