So it's been said that Super Mario World 2000 is a bad name for a romhack. What should I name it???
I want it to sound a tad futuristic, but since I am so bad at naming things, I figured I could let you name it for me... so what do you say? |

Since what I have seen in this thread that the theme is space I would say that a good name would be:
Super mario:the adventure of the beyond. Why that name? Space is "the beyond" and you are doing an adventure so it is "the adventure of the beyond" |

My 1/50 $1: Naming your hacks is like making graphics: originality always beats imitation. Using the name of something already taken (like a Space Odyssey, Next Generation, yadda yadda) reminds me of just ripping graphics from SMB3 or YI instead of making your own. Besides, one copyright infringement is better than two. 
How about: Super Mario Cosmos: The Stargate, or just Super Mario Cosmos Yes, I know about the Stargate series, but if you have something like that in your game, go right ahead and use it 
If that's not cool enough, try coming up with something based on your story. Just don't leave the word "World" in there--Super Cosmos World just sounds n00bish.  |

Yeah, there is already an "Odyssey" SMW hack in the works. Definitely not a good idea to confuse people.
Here is how I would figure out a title. 1. Try not to make it a generic "Mario ____ _____" or "Mario's _____" That's just boring to me. Mario in ______ ______ _______ is pretty bad to, but at least its a little different. 2. Don't use words describing places. World, Land, Planet, Galaxy, Universe, Moon, Island, Country, Biosphere. Stuff like that is pretty boring too. 3. Obviously, have the name simultaneously describe you hack. I don't know anything about your hack since I'm not incredibly active here like I used to be. If I knew what your hack was about or where the main map was and such, I might be able to help out a bit more. |

Why not name it after the secret boss? I'm going with "Wrath of Cyber: the Nexus Chronicles" How does that sound? |
