For everyone's information, that was not me. Some pathetic excuse for a moderator found it within him or herself to mess with my posts in that manner. Don't ask me why, I do not know.
What the hell, no. I didn't do that.

People with high IQs, however, tend to have very high natural language skills (I am assuming English is your natural language [and that you aren't dyslexic which is possible]) as well as, well, common sense. Also, getting compliments on your intelligence is a bad thing; it can cause some mental problems later in life. It's not necessarily bad ON you, but it is bad FOR you.
Huh, I call bullshit. I see lots of high-IQ people who have problems with language skills...

...then I always had a bit of a huge vocabulary. My grammar was (and still is) a bit atrocious, but I knew a wide variety of English and Swedish words at a rather early age apparently.

I had huge barriers with language when growing up, despite that I had a quite above average IQ. You can have a IQ close to 200, yet use a grammar like a six years old.

However I don't brag about IQ or use it as some kind of defence. :/ I think accomplishments is more important than IQ level.

He was either:
1) being sarcastic
or
2) admitting it was him
or
3) all of the above

I have only ever met one high IQ person who was bad at natural language, and that's because he was dyslexic.

Yeah, it's easy to say what we could do when we were 14, simply because we're not. It's the internet and it's easy to claim superiority in a million ways. I just don't get my rocks off nor raise my self-esteem by insulting little kids on the 'net. The only people I hold to the highest standards of intelligence would be those most capable of meeting said standards. Nonetheless, I'm not saying nobody should insult him, that's a personal choice; however, I am allowed to find it really stupid and a complete waste of time.

I don't care if I'm 'superior' to JrShrooboid, nor am I trying to inflate the truth when I say what I was able to do when I was 14. And I'm if anything too arrogant.

This is a matter of clarifying to people that age does not specifically indicate intelligence. Maturity, most likely, yes, but intelligence at any age above 10 can override age-related arguments.

And like I needed more fuel for my point of view, if he really had an IQ of 150 the whole img src thing would have probably been natural, if not moreso, to pick up for him, as me with my likely only 100-something IQ (still not sure what it is, online tests all lie and I have no official source) was able to pick it up at a young age, before I even got the internet.

Seriously, if I want to boost my self esteem, I can avoid arguments like this altogether. I'm in this only because I'm trying to point out the truth, as far as I can find, in the mess you yourself succinctly described.

And I think you're raising your own self esteem by labeling everyone as evil people who insult 14-year-olds to increase their own self esteem, seriously. If what you said was true you wouldn't have to point it out, as that kind of insulting usually is of that 'DUHRRR' kind one person used. It naturally makes the insulter look stupid.

I'll just be brutally honest--I hate people who drive-by arguments without looking closely and assuming everyone but themself is wrong. Everybody has some piece of the truth here, as long as you make blanket generalizations like that, you won't be able to see the forest for the trees.

You didn't understand me. This is a forum where I'm free to express opinion at the tap of a few buttons, so I chose to say something, when in actuality it is completely unimportant to me whether you insult the kid or not considering I do not know him and he is not I.

I merely proposed my view on the subject and realize the futility of such a view considering the very nature of the internet and its relative anonymity. Fact is, no matter what you think or assume, insulting a kid on the internet is idiotic in my opinion. You can justify it any way you like and go on the offensive however you wish; it doesn't change how I perceive it. Also, I realize that those who merely question his "IQ score" (as pointless as it is to do so) are hardly insulting and are not even the direction of anything I've said. There were plenty of other things I was referring to, and it is clearly not necessary for me to point them all out. There is no truth, no right and wrong here; just a dumb lump of shit called a thread gone to the crapper, so do not assume there is some wisdom to be gained from this...

Oh, and chill out. If Shrooboid hasn't pulled out the "WTF I HATE YOU ALL" yet, then neither should you!

Then again, I still have a hard time believing that you're smart. I doubt you're autistic or Aspergian, since your English is far better than what's reasonably possible for someone who has those traits to show.

You've obviously never saw Schwa's post, as he's autistic and has aspergers, yet corrected my grammar mistakes.

Now you're just being silly. I'm sure he was generalizing and referring to all staff as 'moderators.' I'm sure you wouldn't claim he was wrong then, right?

The one thing I will say is that this kind of thread is why he does not post on ||board anymore.

Why does that even matter? bassboard is irrelevant.

Also, I'm guessing you guys started the dumb misquoting fad... am I right?

1. All I was saying is that there was some writing on the wall here, and he if acts the same as he did on the other board he will probably not last here either. Key words being "if he acts the same as he did on ||board." If you can get banned from ||board - which is quite a feat considering ||Bass' strong stance on free speech - you can get banned from here.

2. The misquoting fad is not only as old as Acmlm's Board but as old as message board quoting was available. It is also long past it's hay-day, so I wouldn't quite call it a fad anymore.

"Autistic and has Aspergers"

Regardless, if he did, he's very exceptional.

He hasn't done anything wrong in this thread, so I don't see what you mean. It may be a bad idea for a thread but he's done nothing explicitly wrong or ban-worthy here, not even close. People may not change by themselves, but environments have powerful impacts on them nonetheless.

Ah, funny, I've never seen that used so frequently before, so I'll take your word for it that it died long ago. I'll also assume there's good reason it did so.

I don't want to get too much into it, but you can not break any of the rules and still be pretty worthless. Just take a look at Acmlmboard's past and you'll see a whole host of characters that were tumors on the place's side but still hung around by not technically doing anything wrong. (Shyguy was a fucking great example of this.)

It's sad, but true. Just have to hope that the same standards and rules are held up for everybody (which I'm well aware isn't the case) and that objectivity takes precedence over personal feelings in those cases. I suppose it isn't my choice either way, but I know what you mean.

IQ has a very limited range of accuracy, as someone can have a high IQ and still be an imbecile, or have an abysmal IQ and still be a genius. It's important to remember that the Internet isn't some evil hate pool, people just will judge by what one says and more importantly, how one says it.
