Posts: 304/311 Alright, I was able to change all the eye graphics for every direction except for looking directly down.
For some reasons, I can't seem to find that graphic anywhere anymore...
But I know I found it once before, because it already got edited once before
EDIT: Nevermind, found it.
EDIT2: Forgot to mention, there's a new invite link for my Discord server
Here it is: https://sonicretro.org/dc.php?id=n1uvir7wnf

Posts: 579/628 oh didnt know you meant mm specifically, cause you mentioned top man earlier..

well look at the 4th row of tiles in that screenshot i posted, those are all right there.
if your unsure what's what, just umm... have a 2nd copy of your rom for backup in case of emergency

and on the first rom, fill in each of those tiles with just 1 pure solid color, save...reload emu and check all the directions to see which one's been edited.

it looks like the far right side on the 4th row is "down-left" ...next to that looks like straight left, -- the one next to that looks like either up or up-left.

jusr mess around with it for a bit

whenever im trying to find any specific tiles, or if i no longer want to use tiles, i always fill them in with these placeholder boxes... save..reload rom and check, etc, stuff like that.

umm, first of all, click the 2 "0F" and set them to different colors so you actually look at the graphics more clearly.

ya should be able to match-up who's who pretty easy...
i mean i just opened a mm3 rom, load fceux, turn off BG in fceux, so it only shows sprite layer...and i found topman's tiles in just 2 seconds

the light-blue circle for example is top man, red is shadowman, should be able to figure out the rest there.

...I think you misunderstood me...
I'm trying to find out which MegaMan eye graphic corresponds to which direction.

Posts: 299/311 It's coming along okay, although I'm STILL stuck with the eyes tilemap and the boss art for the TopMan replacement.
If someone is willing to help me out, I would appreciate it. Would certainly be better than this thread getting ignored again...

Posts: 295/311 Alright, I'm getting close to releasing the first unabridged demo of Togetic.
However, there are still a few little quirks I need to work out.
One of them being Togetic's eyes in the stage select screen. However:

I have no idea what eyes belong to what direction this tilemap.
I would be super glad if someone could help me out there.

Yup, my server became so big in terms of channel count, I had to split it into 2
In other news, thanks to Art/Lunar Man/Whisk Man from the Mega Maker Discord server, Mismagius finally got her sprites as well! Only the new projectiles are left, and I can finally release my first demo!

Posts: 293/311 About time I update this thread!
Thanks to the help of Gaem (a spriter from Mega Maker), many of Togetic's sprites could finally be improved!

After:

Also decided to reveal the second stage of my hack.

Posts: 284/311 Sorry for the bump, but as a celebration for Kujakiller to finally create the first ever disassembly of not only MM3, but also MM3 Improvement, I just wanted to let you guys know that I now have an additional portal for where I showcase (or procascinate) progress on Togetic, in the form of my own Discord server:
https://discord.gg/Au2xrGM
Feel free to join.

Posts: 216/311 Hehe, funny that you link me that forum: I'm actually signed up there...
And sadly, it's not a small task.
Not only do I need someone who is able to sprite, but someone, who is able to sprite like that, so I can insert the sprites into a ROM.
So that means that the spriter also needs to be able to work with the NES limitation not only in terms of color usage, but also in terms of tile usage.

Posts: 883/981 Here you go http://www.vg-resource.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=14

I don't know if you have seen that place, but that maybe the best place you can start off from.
I also think people won't mind helping you if its only a small task at hand.
Otherwise if your needing them to do this and that, professionals will ask to be compensated for their time or won't help.

Use them and get a feel for custom spriting and editing so you can progress your hack down the road.

Appearantly, those are his own tiles used in his Metroid hack, and they actually look quite nice.
Sadly, I'm not signed up at this forum, so maybe if he's interested in helping me, he could join this forum, maybe?

Like I keep telling termin off and on if you want the information your seeking, go out and get it.
Registration is pretty easy over there and the general stuff they have these days look good.

I'll leave it in your hands on what you want to do next with this hack.

Sadly, I'm worried that I'm asking for a lot.
I'm asking for a POKéMON to be sprited.
But said POKéMON should not only have the same animations like MagnetMan, but the sprite tiles of the POKéMON needs to fit in the spots of MagnetMan's sprite tiles in yy-chr perfectly.

If your wanting something like this to be a robot masters, I don't think it'll work out. :/

You can ask this good friend of mine here too, I think he does artistic work last I checked his posts.

Don't worry, I already know that the original sprites wont work, hence why I'm asking for custom sprites.
But they need to fit in MagnetMan't spots perfectly, with no holes or cut off pixels.
Also, just checked this guy's posts.

Well you shouldn't be afraid to ask, depending on the work load you need he might be expensive.
You'll be eating a poor mans breakfest and dinner for the next month once hes done working for you
