Well, I did after all come here after a recommendation by someone on GameFAQs, though I don't recall who that was.

As for idiot-free boards, you're definitely not likely to find those among contest boards or boards for recently-released games.

Well, one of the reasons long-distance calls cost more is that you're often dealing with another phone company. It would be horribly inefficient for every phone company to run wires all around the country, so generally, there's just a few sets. If you're calling long-distance, your call may go through a set of telephone lines not owned by the particular phone company operating in your area...and they need to pay a premium to use the lines of other companies.

...or something like that. But yeah, mostly it's because they want to make money.

Yes, I know they're from Parodius, I did read that...but having not played the series, unreleased in the states, I'm not sure what role they played in that. I suppose I didn't make myself clear.

Is it reasonable to extrapolate past data into the future based on innumerable observations to conclude that one is going to die alone?

I think the actual answer is much more disturbing than any of us raised thus far. I think that the space under his bed is a strange wormhole to another place that, for some reason, ejects bras sometimes.

Well, judging by what he posted in Officer's Club a week ago, he's been dealing with various things for a while that are a bit more important than this.

Yeah, I think it's largely the expression, what with the peace sign and the fact that any picture with open-mouthed expressions tends to look rather exaggerated. I think the blur might itself contribute too, but I can't say how.

I hope you're happy

The thing with that argument is that "the last little bit" is likely going to be that way whether you live a long healthy life to 90 or die at 60 due to bad health habits. So what you're doing is more likely prolonging the "ok" part...that is, where you're older, so you're not going to be really great condition, but you're also not going to be...well, sick and dying like that.

Joke all you want, but I've had plenty of experience with all sorts of alcohol.

That particular night I started out with two shots of vodka, and over the course of about 3 hours had at least 4 beers/ciders as well as a few cups (read: 2-3 normal servings each) of wine from a box. Or something like that. I don't really remember, to be honest. But it was a lot

You want a bad layout to read going back to the old boards, try Kirbynite's. He used to host a tiled background image on angelfire, which now displays the now classic image for linking to images on the site. Couple that with the fact that even when highlighted, which is required to read the posts at all, it's difficult, and it gets very frustrating to read through old stories.

Well, it comes a lot out of priorities, and alternatives. I'm feeling rather down in general at the moment, and it's a lot easier especially when in that condition to play video games or post on the boards than go out and do anything else. Should things change, maybe I'll be around a bit less.

Yeah, definitely more classy than rainbow colors, which would go quite well with AE Torture...as it is, it's not as bad as April 1st was, even.

Granted, there's no presidency at stake, but control of both houses of congress means about as much, and both sides think it's going to be a brutal year. But let's hope it's not as bad as some previous ones...like the election that spawned things like:

Yeah, you know, come to think of it, that isn't really the question that needed to be asked. Of course we wouldn't be ALLOWED to have them, that makes sense. What I'm wondering is whether or not they would WORK if you put them in.

I'll have to try turning off images and seeing if that will work. It may or may not work since it's the background, I'm thinking...then again, I know little about html.

And jeez, South Park really just doesn't take any prisoners.

Well Anya, that's what you get for living in a tourist-friendly place. Ah, Cleveland...

...except that I can't really say that now, because now that it's spring here at Stanford, we get tons of tour groups on campus at all times, which is no fun.
