Have you actually played KH, though? Because I actually felt exactly the same way you did, and then heard good things about it and decided to get the first one...and I absolutely loved it. It was wonderful. On my second playthrough I decided it was my favorite game of all time.

The sidequests in the first one didn't seem like nearly as much work as the ones in the sequel do. Yet another reason I like the original better.

I see no problem with data as a singular mass noun. I do, however, agree that criterion/criteria are misused far too often.

But what always gets me, for some reason, is the misuse of less vs fewer.

I honestly didn't get it until your first post in this thread. Clever, certainly.

And Kyouji, yes, I know no one really expected nuclear missiles...I just brought it up because it was kind of the ultimate in the 'doomsday' scenarios envisioned by people, even if that particular one was seen by crazies.

Yeah, but then she'd hit you in the face with the baseball bat, so you're not really going to be in a much better situation.

I wonder though what kinds of accurate figures there are for men being raped by women. Particularly in the sex culture we have now, I have to imagine few men would actually report something like that unless the woman was, well, really awful.

I don't think it would be fair for Chuck Norris to be the captain of a starship. I mean, isn't that kind of power a bit superfluous?

GameFAQs is your friend.

That said, from there, it says (for Goo, which is apparently what the stones are called in the Japanese version) that the Aeroplanes and Hot Rods drop them, and those appear in, among other places, Timeless River, through the doors there. Good luck. I'm off to do more synthesis item hunting myself.

Well yes, I think everyone actually knew what you meant. We just thought that it would be more fun to pretend not to know. Or at least that's what I was doing.

Well, perhaps not addictive in any physical sense, but certainly in a psychological sense, and perhaps even more for males due to the fact that once you've started, if you're not masturbating or receiving...satisfaction...through the, erm, aid of another, then you may need to wash your sheets a bit more often.

As for when I started, I'm not entirely sure, some time in middle school, and honestly, at the time I didn't really even know what I was doing

As for how often, it varies from daily to weekly and occasionally less.

And...squirrels? Wtf?

That's right, Khar was a really great full mod who seems to have disappeared. And her email address that I had no longer works, as I discovered when I decided to send one of those "I haven't talked to you in forever, are you still alive?" emails a few weeks ago.

And I see you finally got the spelling right, Anya

HM, for someone who knows as much about computers as you at least seem to, you seem to have missed the whole point of why there might have been some serious problems at the time. Basically, the programmers for computers had only set aside bytes for two digits, and put a 1900 in front of them.

Well this actually makes me slightly more likely to some day buy a Mac. But still pretty close to nil, since I've been a PC user all my life, and it would be odd to switch, even if Windows is now available on the Macs.

And just last year they released the "revolutionary" two-button mouse for Apple computers

It's like they're slowly becoming just another maker of PCs...

GameFAQs has the criteria for unlocking the different cups. I actually went the whole game without using the FAQs, but now in the end stages I decided that if I want to do everything I kind of need to do so.

Underdrome Extreme Games
---------------------------------
Pain & Panic (Level 60)
Condition for unlocking: Clear all Underworld Arena Cups

Cerberus Cup (Level 70)
Condition for unlocking: With the exception of Final Form, Form levels
should be at level 5 or higher. Also, Concealed Pain & Panic must be
unlocked.

Titan Cup (Level 80)
Condition for unlocking: Summon level should be 5 or higher. Concealed
Pain & Panic must be unlocked.

Hades Cup (Level 99)
Condition for unlocking: Clear all previous Cups in this Concealed set,
clear Space Paranoids episode 2, have max Form Levels, and Summon level
should be at level 7.

So basically, just keep levelling stuff up and you'll get it eventually.

I don't have the guide, so I wouldn't notice that. Aside from a few things at the end of the game, recently, I've not used FAQs for this, and I'm much happier for it. I found a nice trick on the message boards to raising levels quickly late game.

Spoiler:
Equip the Gullwing keyblade and (not sure if this helps) equip the experience boost ability. Go to Pride Lands, get into critical health, go to the very top of Pride Rock, at some point after the second Pride Lands episode, through the King's Den. There should be a swarm of heartless there. Each one gives 168 experience with the boosts you're getting, which isn't that much...except that there are about 200+ of them and you can kill them quickly, especially with Magnega. I got from 64 to 75 in a pretty short period of time.

No, no, that's the recommended level for tackling the cup. You can likely do it just fine at a much lower level.

Well, penis can be a food in some cultures. Not really human penis, except in some REALLY fucked up circles, but things like bull phalluses are becoming something of a delicacy in some places. Better watch out for things like that.

She disappeared into the oblivion. I was in some slight contact with her, but then fell off completely. One should assume that, like Dani, if she wanted to be contacted, she would allow herself to be, so we must assume that she doesn't want to be.

I have never used a razor, and I don't intend to. I don't have particularly much facial hair growth is the thing. While it's noticeable after a couple days, I don't really NEED to shave more than once a week. So a really close shave isn't all that crucial. And my electric shaver has served me well for two years now. Yeah, that's right, I didn't really need to shave unti I was 20
