I think Yoshi's Island is similar enough so that you can count it. Not sure about whether Mario vs Donkey Kong would count, but probably. Still, it's been some time. What are some of the new features about "The New Super Mario Bros."? It looks...not that amazing from what I've seen so far.

See, I would get a decent amount of sleep, but it doesn't help that my new roommate's alarm goes off rather early. Now, if he needs to get up early, that's fine...the problem is, he hits the snooze button, so it goes off again ~10 minutes later. And again. And again. Which basically makes it impossible to get back to sleep. And once I get up and go into his part of the room (separated by a door and a thin wall) then I can't get back to sleep no matter what. So that sucks.

I always find it amusing how cool people find these rather inane things, and then realize that I find them interesting too

Well, the other 400,000 can make a petition that goes against the one petition, if they want. It's not like they're completely "powerless".

May I ask why you're a teetotaller? (sp?)

And I too am curious if you're a fan of Red vs Blue...and if so how long. I've been watching since the first season

So is there any actual point to the Gummi Ship this time, or is it even more of a self-contained...mini-game...than it was in the first game?

See, I was going to hold Canada hostage, and then I saw the movie Canadian Bacon, and realized that it just couldn't measure up to the "war" in that...and I'd rather not be a cheap imitation.

What was the one time an internet petition actually did anything? I can't seem to recall anything like that, and I'm curious to hear what it might be.

I dunno, I think the fun is about over with just the multicolor names. Rather disappointing if that's all it is, though. After all that buildup.

Well, in some senses, hate and love aren't really quite opposites. They're both similar in the sense that they require a certain amount of emotional investment in a particular person/thing. In the one case it's generally positive, and in the other generally negative. However, as can be seen in some cases, the two can in certain circumstances shift into each other, largely due to the strength of the emotions in both cases.

I wasn't a Tetris fan quite some time ago, but in the past several years I have become very much so. I'm certainly not an expert player, but I'm not bad, either, and it's a really amazing way to kill some time trying to get a high score. I'm usually not a fan of puzzle games in general.

Occasionally, yes I do.

Judging from the number of photos in that format in the earlier pages of this thread, and the number in the photo album, it seems that it's been quite some time since it was updated. That's why I haven't submitted one for me yet.

Well what's funny is that bacon really seems to take on different meanings depending on where you are. In England, for example, if you get "bacon" it's really a lot more like ham, in the way it's served and prepared.

Eh, from what I've seen, there's little to no correlation between the time he takes between comics and their quality. Sometimes he has several good ones in a short span of time, and sometimes a bad one with a long amount of time to think it up.

Now if only I watched TV, maybe I would catch one of those. The TV spots are usually online, though, so I could find them that way. I think I need to update my quicktime player, as I've had trouble getting some of these trailers to load.

Always disappointing when the plot of a movie or TV show is affected by contract disputes and the like with the actors who play the characters.

If I get a DS, I will certainly need to get Tetris DS for it...it looks to be an amusing take on an old, fun concept.

And welcome back, Hiryuu. Since you've been gone, a couple other oldbies came back.

My posting rate was originally such that for a few days my projected date to reach 5000 posts was 06-06-06. I slowed down a bit since then, though, so now it's somewhere around July, I think.
