Well, even if they didn't enjoy the pain, I'm not sure that it would be debilitating enough to put the guy out for the count, and if he were already in a position of power over the woman, murder might be in the cards. That really makes me uneasy about this. Mace seems like it would be more effective.

Yes, I know you don't need to be moving to enjoy a portable game. My point, however, is that there are a lot of console games that I'd rather play, and if my choice is between the console game and the portable game, the console one is the one I generally choose. Damn limited time...

Well, I pose again the question that I asked earlier:
Do you consider brain function per se a necessary component of being human (that is, if at any point there is no brain function, said person ceases to be human) or is this a dividing line you draw after which said individual is human, even if brain functioning ceases? Also, how do you define brain functioning? If you're just talking about brainwaves, those are generally recorded by 40 days after conception...and it's important to note that most abortions take place after this time in human development. |

G. Other.
Wait, you didn't make that option. You fail. |

Nova quickly picked himself and ran towards the front of the train, not sure whether or not anyone was protecting the engine. And that's when he saw him.
A black stallion ran alongside the train, actually outrunning it by quite a bit, apparently having followed them through the tunnel. On it, clad in light but tough armor, was something the rogue had never seen. A Gerudo male. Nova: There's something special on this train...this isn't just any robbery. The man leapt from his horse onto the train towards the front and tossed a few smoke bombs in the direction of the heroes before heading forward. Before he had vanished from sight, Nova had seen that he was powerfully built and carried a large blade. This might be trouble, he thought. |

Well, the thing is, the first full thought, while I'm not sure how to measure it either, or even how to really define it, is generally believed to be well after birth.
As for the brain inactivity, it's possible to have no brain activity temporarily and then recover...are those people not people during that time? |

Yeah, I just played that part just now, and...wow...
Spoiler:
I remember seeing the huge battle in the trailer, and it was very cool. Though it was mostly just rising sun and using the laser thing over and over again...seemed to be the most effective thing to do. Game seems pretty interesting now, wonder where the story will go from here... |

Jeez, guess Xkeeper's got low expectations for the number of posts today, if I understand this system correctly. We'd best not disappoint him.

Alright, well, I thought I understood what the mechanic was, but it's obviously more complex than I thought. And now I'm worried for Acmlm.

Ah, Colin, good to see you're alive and well, and your internet works. I was starting to get worried around 3 AM (Pacific time) when I went to sleep and you hadn't posted this

Well SimCity 4 seems like it just has a LOT of stuff to keep track of, which would naturally make it rather difficult. The last one I played was 2000. Which was released something like 10 years ago, I think.
As for better games, I'm not saying the games are necessarily better on consoles, but I enjoy playing console games in general more than I enjoy playing portable games, so long as they're good games. Plenty of titles I'd "miss out on" among the console library as well if I played more portable games. |

Originally posted by Dracoon Well, I haven't been kicked, per se, but I have been hit there pretty hard. And yes, it does really hurt. But I've also witnessed firsthand some people at my school who were fighting and actually seemed to get some sort of adrenaline rush from that and still beat down their opponents pretty badly before succumbing to the pain. And I think the rapists might do the same thing. |

I'm guessing that Xkeeper realized that whatever he was doing it wasn't quite what he was aiming to do, and so took it down until it could be fixed. Or something like that.

So, um...what exactly was the mechanic at work with Acmlm & the Bomb earlier, anyway? I didn't quite get it...

I definitely have had to come back from a depression, and I wish I could give you some advice, but there's not really much that works too well for me. It can help to be around friends and do stuff with them, but at the same time, when I'm feeling depressed A) I don't really feel like doing that and B) I'm not that much fun for them to hang out with.
Sounds like the girl would help, though. That helps me when I have that bit of...assistance. |

Honestly, as others have said, two days really isn't much to work with. There are some things you could do, but they wouldn't really have THAT much effect, and anything that would have much noticeable effects at all would be incredibly bad for you in the long run, and so while you might lose a few pounds, you wouldn't exactly be at your best. You're probably better off spending this time getting a good haircut and a good outfit and the like...much more good for the time you have to work with.

I was a big fan of the first two movies, and this one looks cool too. On a related note...
Great comic related to the movie |
