Well, in all fairness, my understanding is that Kyouji got 290 points in a month with 30 days, so it's not quite as close as it seems.

And wow, Colin, I guess people listen to you after all.

True, but maybe you combined something Japanese with something not. Like...

Yamauchi Taxi

Kojima Hotdog

Miyamoto Ford

Bah, I didn't need the source code to be leaked. I'm such a 1337 h4x0r that I figured out everything in Windows myself and reprogrammed it to my specifications. Take THAT, Unix.

Well, actually, it doesn't seem like you ever explicitly said you made it up. You hinted that it was a possibility that you did, but didn't explicitly say it. And even if you did say that you made it up, you could be wrong, as you may have heard the name earlier and thought of it as something you thought sounded cool, even if you thought at the time you'd made it up.

That really is a tangent, into a subject that is not only off-topic, but has caused more arguments and drama on this board than is really advisable to recreate. I have far too much to say on the topic and I'd rather not start.

Ephy, the thing is, it's not just because people are babysat their whole lives. Look at history...on a grand scale. Market-based systems, to some extent, form the basis of the economy in all of the major players around the world in ancient civilizations, continuing through to the modern age. Meanwhile, systems with more of a socialism bent did exist...but pretty much just confined to small tribes in the middle of nowhere that never came to much of anything.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there's no value in a life like those of the people in those other systems. But if we're talking about progress, productivity, etc., then it's pretty clear to see that you need some form of incentive system. Taken into the modern context, look at the collapse of the Soviet Union, primarily due to economic variables.

Honestly, I'm not really sure how to take this post...because depending on how much of it is true and how much is false (well, obviously the dead part isn't true), your friends are shitty and/or you have a really sick sense of humor.

Well, in all fairness, FFA is part of a completely different series, Seiken Densetsu, the second game of which was released here as Secret of Mana. SD1 was merely released here under the "Final Fantasy" label to get some name recognition...kind of like Dr. Mario

The theme switching is definitely incredibly disturbing. I feel like I'm going to have a seizure or something. I just hope AE Torture isn't in the rotation...

I think most people's brains would melt at Black Lord +'s little story there. That reminds me of the suicidal squirrels at Stanford. You have no idea how many times I've come really close to running them over on my bike.

I'm guessing this is an April Fools Day thing, considering when it was unveiled.

Still, it's Google, if anyone could do the online dating thing really well, maybe it's them?

Most comics have their ups and downs. And hey, it's completely free, so it's not like you lose out on anything by it not being that good on any particular day.

Well if you want to get technical it would probably be the other way around, since April 1st is kind of, you know, established. And GameFAQs is great as always.

The thing I've found about April Fools things is that it's difficult to post the right response. If you post that you believe it, even if you're joking, to keep the joke going, then people see you as an idiot. If you post, on the other hand, that it's just a joke, then it's ruining the fun, right?

On the one hand, funny and all...but on the other, it's probably going to hurt activity quite a bit. Which if yesterday is any indication, it's already in some trouble

I definitely like this part a lot. The moving logo at the top is decent, but I wouldn't actually mind keeping the spinning "new" thing...

I think you're much more likely to get dizzy if you watch the banner as well as the spinny "new" things on a forum page with lots of new replies.

So will you be more active in the future or is your current general lack of activity indicative of the future as well?
