Well, I would imagine that most of the ground-level coding is done at this point...they need to finalize storyboards and the visuals, of course, and work out bugs, but the basic engine work and such is probably in place. So he might be done, depending on what exactly he's working on.

And I'm sure he'll at least get a free copy of the game...he really ought to have them list him as Acmlm in the game credits, too...

The world is vieled in
darkness. The wind stops,
the sea is wild,
and the earth begins to rot.
The people wait,
their only hope, a prophecy....

" When the world is in darkness
Four Warriors will come...."
After a long journey, four
young warriors arrive,
each holding an ORB.

The prophecy spoke of four warriors...but prophecies could be mistaken at times. Four ORBs there certainly were, from what he had researched, and he hoped the other warriors with the ORBs would arrive soon.

Sky: Well, it's a nice town, anyway.

Coneria spread out before the young Red Mage, who held his ORB visibly, hoping to attract the notice of the other warriors of legend. This is where the journey should begin, from what he could tell. He just hoped that was right.

((So yes, this is an FF1 story...more than 4 people can be involved, though obviously only 4 will have orbs, and you can join later if you want...as for fighting, don't be overly powerful, at least not until towards the end...you don't have to stick purely to FF1-style attacks, as that's a bit basic, but don't go overboard...))

Well, Japan's real problem is that whenever there's an earthquake, they get tidal waves too.

And that just sucks.

Ah, asdf, don't worry, I don't take it personally. It takes a lot to upset me, as I'm generally a pretty mellow guy.

And Dracoon, if you want to do some more posting in the SF, I started a new story, so feel free to join in, especially if you've played FF1, but even if you haven't.

Well, no matter how it goes, it should probably be a better start than the one on the old boards.

Seriously, this is not the SF's best work.

Mask of Eternity would be VIII, and the final entry in the official series.

And yeah, I suppose you're right, not really an RPG, fair enough. I was confused where this went when I went to check up on this, though.

I think the puzzle at the mountain steps was meant as a copy-protection device.

Also, this is not the best way to find out if there's an issue. If you're concerned, talk to her. That's really the best and most honest way to find out.

Slave labor comics FTW. Basically, make things ridiculous and potentially offensive. And they may be funny, or cause people to want to kill you. It's a fine line, but you can get good stick figure comedy that way.

Yeah, Kirbynite was up there with you guys, but he just fell off the map.

And I think it's safe to say I'll be breaking my record of 260 monthly points. I think THE record is 280 or something, so probably not that one.

Like I said, I'll be breaking MY record, as in my personal record. I knew someone else had broken it already. Since Colin seems to not want to check up on that, you don't happen to know what the current record, set by that crazy person, is, and who that person is, do you? I'm curious.

A young man in a black trenchcoat stared from a nearby hill at the devastation being wreaked below. Those fools, he thought, fighting over the dominance of magic and technology.

???: They're both wrong, heh.

As a bit of debris flew towards him, the young man raised his arm up, and a small shield of light formed itself in front of him. Magitek had been used to destroy quite a bit, even in its rather limited usage, but also had its defensive aspects. This was one of the recent bits of magitechnology grafted into the decker, who didn't have quite the same magical potency as other members of his family, or at least not the ability to utilize it directly. He smiled. But this certainly evened the odds a bit. The scientists had been overjoyed when he came to them; most of those with magic in them shunned the technology, after all.

A young girl walked up to where the youth was sitting.

???: Strato, you know you're not supposed to be here.

Strato: Chloe, you know what your mother says doesn't really apply to me. I'm not really her kid anyway, and I can take care of myself. You, on the other hand, need some protecting.

As if to prove his point, another piece of debris flew up at the hill, which Strato blocked with the same light shield he had used earlier, before leading Chloe back towards her home. Halfway there, he turned and quickly ran back to where he had been, yelling back to her.

Strato: You get back now, I'll take care of this!

With that, he lept over the crest of the hill to drop down to the level of the fighting. He just needed to figure out who was making more damage and try to sabotage their efforts. Easier said than done, he realized.

Danielle, you just hate everyone.

Ah, 290, I knew it was something like that. Which means for better or worse I won't be breaking that, this month or probably ever, so no sense in being concerned about it

Well, seeing as THC is the active ingredient in pot, I think it counts, just as an aspirin is not entirely made up of the chemical that has the desired effects.

Buy the game for yourself, and something else for your mother?

I mean, I don't know about you, but my mother's birthday was never devoted solely to worshipping her the entire day, I did have time for other things.

Edit: I got the game today!
