This one didn't turn out quite as well as I'd like, but that's me in the Colosseum.

I'd accept the challenge, but I'm a lover, not a fighter...though I suppose as a Flying Fish, I'm a flyer not a fighter...or technically a glider. Did you know that some species of "flyingfishes" can go up to 100 meters or so on a single glide?

I should note that I am not Italian. Well, not entirely true; I'm a quarter Italian. I'm first and foremost an American...studying in Oxford...who took a trip to Rome 2.5 weeks ago...

From what I checked back on the original board archive, browsing through some of Wooster's posts, he refers to himself as "he" so I figure Wooster must be a guy.

And that really is insane, Anya

You know, as the original creator of the ACMLM Sim-Battle Board, I would find it endlessly amusing if an aquatic battle royale began over there.

Well, if it's not to your liking, the solution is to get a few people who can do it well and go at it, show them how it's done, right?

Or at least that's what I thought a few years ago. And that's what I did. And I was wrong, it didn't really help.

Anyone who protests this fad should have their name changed to a fish-related name for an extended period even after the rest of us (eventually) go back to normal. Anyone second that motion?

Oysters aren't fish either. It's more of an aquatic theme in general. Be it before or after said thing is in water *looks at canned tuna*

Ah, but none of those things compares in the least to something that caused a lot of drama at one point, started in no small sense by Anya, and that was the "crush list" kept in the profiles of a lot of people. Oh, the drama

Just a bit of a response to that, Kutske, is that it's not necessarily about what is in the holy texts...at least for some religions. I've not studied Islam, so they may have a requirement for just that. In Catholicism, anyway, a lot of the teachings do go back to the bible and such, but many were formed as traditions, and make their place through that. The same may be true for some of these.

Hack much, Riku?

I never actually finished a game of Pokemon...I got decently far in Red, and later in Yellow, but never got around to actually going and beating it. I got bored, basically. I've never really liked the "collect all 150" and later 250...what is it up to now?

The first year of the ACS, there was plenty of sparring and the like, rivals who were battling it out with posts.

Of course, when you have that, you end up having a lot of near-spammy posts, which in some cases I myself was guilty of. And then you get strategies too to help your post count without giving 'rivals' things to reply to...

If you're going to talk about TV commercials, how about SUPER BOWL commercials? That was actually my biggest disappointment about watching it in England, since they had crappy British commercials instead.

So I found this online.

Well, I suppose it's good that the board tends to be more altruistic than I thought would be the case...

...though on the other hand it would've made the thread more interesting if people had disagreed

Because he's cuh-ray-zee! And this is certainly the place for that. After all, not every thread can be particularly thought provoking, and some are just for fun. And fun it certainly is.

They have been tantalizing us with this game forever. I don't even have a gamecube, but I may buy one, or a Revolution, so that I could play this game, since it looks so wonderful.

Is this going to turn into another Daikatana or worse, Duke Nukem Forever?

One of the other things to consider is what the team is used for. If you're just playing through the game's story, then most reasonably high powered teams, at least if red or yellow are any indication, can do rather well.

Playing against a live opponent, on the other hand, is another issue entirely.

Well, it's not so much whether there are more smart people in the world than stupid people that becomes the issue here...it comes down to how you yourself fare in that. Even if there are a lot more smart people, if you happen to be among the top ones, killing off everyone stupider leaves a rather small population.

As for the definition of intelligence, like I said, whatever omnipotent being giving you the choice is also omniscient and knows enough to define it objectively somehow.

Sky: You know, Kirb, I changed my mind. I don't think we have to do anything. This is the best time I've ever had at your place.

Sky went off and fetched some lawn chairs from the Winnebago, which he set out on the ground for the group to sit in.

Sky: *sitting down* Good times, man, good times...
