((Well, you'll need to tell me approximately what to expect via AIM or something, and I'll fill in the details...and you can always control any problems that get in our way))

Nova: Eh, I could do the mission on my own is need be. Saddle up and we'll get moving.

Nova hops up onto the great sabrecat's back and motions for the others to follow him as he heads towards the gate.

Well, that's hardly unique to him. Well, here, and with threads in general here, it is. But isn't that what tends to happen most of the time anyway? People will ask you for advice, and then they'll do whatever they think is best anyway later. Happens far too often.

Well, I remember HAVING the conversation...but I didn't remember what it was about. I was aware that I had talked to her, at least.

And at least once since I've joined I've been somewhat drunk while posting, and I'll bet no one (including me) could point out when.

I guess I'm the only one here who assumes that he would be cannon fodder or random civilian death #43572 rather than one of the main heroes

I'm...up there...in posting in this thread, with 131 with this post. Keep in mind that the thread was big before I ever started posting in it. I've posted here more than in any other thread at this point, as well.

I do agree that there could be some positive psychological effects because of this, as people do generally think approximately in terms of hours in how much time they have. Still, I don't think it would ever work because of the immense amount of time and energy it would take to implement a plan of this sort. Plus, once this got implemented and people got used to it (a few generations down the road when all of us are dead), they would still complain about not enough hours in the day.

But it's a very amusing exercise to consider.

Nova: What the hell?

The rogue turns around as the spectacle begins and the robot starts......singing? And then it fell into the earth.

Nova: Jeez, she just won't let you start that up...I'm starting to think she doesn't like that thing.

Hey, just be happy you hit your front gate rather than the front of someone else's car

I do make more typos when I've been drinking, but not THAT many more, and I type quickly enough in general so that other people often don't really notice the extra amount of time it takes me to correct my errors

You're not safe as a civilian in Gundam either, that's the problem. Towns get razed all the time, or have some big heavy thing dropped on you. And if you're in a space colony, it just gets even more dangerous. You're prone to all sorts of issues in the Gundam worlds whether you're fighting or not. Turn-A Gundam is probably the safest world in that case. I wouldn't mind living there.

I think God at His computer counts as more powerful than a hurricane.

And I'm reminded of a verse of an awful song sung in the LSJUMB from time to time:

Roofies roofies roofies
Roofies in my drink
I'm glad I have my roofies
So I don't have to think

Useless stats are great, and there are a TON of them on this board for those so inclined to look at them. I like to start threads as well, if I have a decent idea for them. As such, I will most certainly start the ATS8 thread if I'm around at about the right time to do so

But my point is that I don't think it would help future generations. They would feel like they didn't have enough time either. And then they would make a similar thread pronouncing a 32 hour day or something, so they would seem like they had more time. No matter how much time you have or feel you have, it won't seem like enough, at least in the US, based on our culture.

Well, I think edited posts could be alright in some cases. It's all a matter of timestamps. If I edit it before he posts, well, it's no worse than deleting it and posting another.

Yeah, but it's not just about who makes it first, I don't think. Even if one is made slightly before another, if one is significantly BETTER, then I think it might be given preference.

Colony drops don't care if you're not fighting.

Nor do colony lasers.

Nor does Destroy Gundam

Nor do Gundam Fighters annihilating cities.

Nor do Motorad Forces steamrolling your city.

I definitely want to learn acoustic stuff. And I realize coordinating and playing could be kinda tough from doing it while playing the piano. But I figure I can probably learn it.

You talk about there being confusion like it would necessarily be a BAD thing. I think having some confusion in the making of this thread could be very entertaining, if only temporarily as the other threads were closed.

I probably wouldn't commit suicide at first, but by the end of Destiny, I likely would, with THAT person in charge of everything.

Spoiler.
