Dracoon, I think you misunderstand what I'm saying, in your rather rude response to it. Basically, the idea behind it is that some people simply aren't worth your time, and most of the people who would be total jackasses fall into that category. You shouldn't care what they think about you, to be sure. As for other people, it's not about hiding, it's about not changing yourself to try to make others like you. Now, that's not to say you shouldn't change yourself, because there are definitely self-improvements anyone can make. But you make them because it'll help you be better, rather than because it'll make other people like you better.

No need to get caught up in semantics and/or syntax/punctuation, rather than discuss the game.

Anyway, I hadn't heard about the hacking into the Disney Castle in the first one. Maybe if they keep doing it they'll find KH: Hot Coffee

I think any game will spontaneously generate new gameplay if you're on crack at the time. Isn't that your secret?

Like I said, there's more content in SF posts than in most of the posts in Craziness, so such a proposition would be likely to fail on logical grounds.

Oh, the story forum's style can indeed be incredibly silly, there's no doubt about that. Whether or not it's worth doing depends on one's individual preferences. Just as rom hacking isn't for everything, neither is the SF.

So as I'm sure most of you know, I've been studying abroad in Oxford for this past quarter. I got here on January 4th, and I'm leaving tomorrow, March 20th, two and a half months later. It's been a really good experience, and I'm glad to have done it. I've made good friends in the program and a few at Oxford, though I don't know if I'll stay in good contact with those in the future.

It's been good to be away, and do something different, as well as my travelling to Rome for a few days in early February, but at the same time I'm about ready to go home now. It's been fun, but it's also been a lot of work, and I'm ready to just relax, which I'll get to do for two weeks before my last quarter at college. I went kinda crazy on the souvenirs for myself and others, largely since I don't know when I'll be able to come back here.

If anyone else has the opportunity to study abroad at some point, I highly recommend it. It's a very worthwhile experience.

For now, though, I'm going back to the USA tomorrow morning...and it'll be good to come home.

VHS? Oh, come on, you loser, VHS sucks. Beta's just so much better, it's only a matter of time before it rules the home video market.

Bigger does not necessarily mean better. In fact, I generally want the shortest FAQ that tells me everything I want to know. Longer is only a better FAQ when it's longer because it has more useful information.

Well I don't think the idea was to post in the way that you would in 1986, but rather, what you would post on a message board if you were a similar age as you are now, but in 1986

Posted on 03-19-06 07:23 PM, in Taking up the guitar Link
So for various reasons, I've decided that I'm going to take up the guitar at some point in the next few months. Partially because I can sing pretty well, and could use some accompaniment provided by such a great instrument. I can read normal music (used to play the piano, kind of play the trombone), but I'm not sure how useful that'll be for learning guitar chords.

Anyone have advice for teaching oneself to play, or good methods to use, or some such?

I do agree that it's not very userfriendly. It should be done in a way that it's more easily comparable to other attacks, like in a format such as KATW mentions. Simple is good.

That's certainly better, but I'm not sure the information on the number of frames and which are damaging is really necessary.

Probably not, as it said "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." in the introduction, but it is possible that in ten years or so, we could be having wars in space.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he's referring to SDI, which was colloquially known as "Star Wars"
