Well, I don't think the disqualifications necessarily have to be particularly strictly enforced every day. I think the problem comes in if something like what he did becomes commonplace. As it is, it didn't really cause too much of a problem, and he's probably learned.
I hope. |

Your recent ones remind me of an interesting experience I had at one point, in which I was talking to a couple friends of mine, as well as my girlfriend. One of my friends sent me an amusing link, I don't recall the content, but while there was no nudity, I do think it had a somewhat scantily clad woman in it. I thought it was funny and sent it to my other friend. About ten minutes later there was some page that I wanted to send to my girlfriend, so I copy/pasted the link...but I guess the copy didn't work, and it attached the other link and I sent it without looking. That was....interesting to explain.

Well, I know manda wouldn't be able to harm the kitty.
But it's clear that soldiers like puppies better: (edited by Skydude on 03-18-06 07:19 AM) |

My understanding is that the old colors were thought to clash with the rest of the "Mario Movie" color scheme, and so they made new ones that went with it better.

((You guys went rather crazy last night))
Nova: I'm sorry about that. I guess my cat was just a bit of a distraction for her. Sabor walked over to Nova, who scratched him behind the ears. Nova: He's just such a cute bit thing. Also, what is this "Gato" anyway? (edited by Skydude on 03-18-06 07:25 AM) |

You might want to watch out for it a bit, but not too much...because sometimes there really is something there.
I was dating a girl this past quarter, and there was a guy who I was pretty sure was flirting with her, and she seemed to be doing that a bit with him as well. I thought pretty much nothing of it, partially because she's 19 and he's 26, but when she and I went on what I thought was to be a temporary break while I was abroad, the two were together...not just had gone on a date, but together...within the week. Makes me wonder how long she'd planned on that, or if she'd been cheating on me with him already even. |

Well, if he DOES edit it, then it'll show that he did that after you'd posted your own, and thus be invalid.

I think anyone who embeds music in their profile, at least if it starts playing automatically, should be shot. Not killed, mind you, shot in the foot or something.
Myspace can certainly bring out some nice profiles, but for the most part they're ugly and impossible to read, and really make me doubt the value of humanity from time to time. And Kyouji, Maddox is extremely funny, far more than most anyone else. |

Well, one of the issues with comparing it to other countries is to assume that it would have the same effect. America is a different culture, and different societal attitudes and norms can have rather large effects.
If you want proof, let's just look for a moment at firearms. It's easier to get a gun in a lot of other countries than in the US, but they tend to have a lot fewer problems with them. I think the effects would be quite different in the US than in these other countries if pot were made legal, which is why I'm a bit doubtful of using those examples. Things like this don't have the same effect in every country. |

I think Canada has similar, if not looser, restrictions than the US. I'm not sure on the whole; I did a report on gun control laws back in high school, but a) I don't remember much of it now and b) things may have changed sinc then. (edited by Skydude on 03-18-06 09:22 AM) |

Kyouji, that was EXACTLY what I was referring to in my post. I don't think I could have made it more clear.

Well, yes, and there is certainly a lot of value still to be gotten in the game by replaying it. That's one of the really great things about Katamari Damacy. Still, there are new things that can be added, new areas, items, gameplay modes, and the like. Particularly with the new systems coming out, there could be 'upgrades' of sorts that really add to the game. And I think what we're saying is that it's disappointing that we won't be getting those upgrades, good as the games we have may be.

I generally prefer to get my 'high' through social situations, occasionally with a bit of alcohol. Beyond that, I use any sort of drugs about as infrequently as is possible, taking tylenol for a really bad headache and caffeine only if I really need it. I prefer to live my life with my brain running relatively naturally.

I actually explained the receptors in my first post in the thread. Go read that.
As for natural, I'm not talking about natural in the hippy sense that it's actually used. I feel the same way about herbs and medications in that regard, as even pills are basically just controlled doses of the same chemicals you'll find in herbs. I'm talking about not altering my brain chemistry, leaving it as it should be, a goal which smoking pot goes against. |

Well, they're often seen in an overly negative light in the real world as well. Art imitates life, after all.

I do agree that there's a bit too much policing of the wrong things, as the dealers themselves should be targeted rather than the kids smoking...though if the same idiots are caught smoking up and doing stupid stuff time and again after warnings, then I think it would make some sense to bring them in. But some leeway is in order.

It seems to me that his arms are too short to do much of anything.
Wait, are we talking about Kirb's character or Kirb himself? |
