I'm not sure about the worst Final Fantasy game...have you played Mystic Quest? That one is pretty awful, especially when you consider that they gave that to us instead of FF5.

Many of the "legendary" posting sprees occurred partially as a result of some of the name/gender changes. You've seen Reinfors and Wooster Syndrome in the FAQ, and probably occasionally actually on the boards. There were times when there were 10-20 people on the boards with those at one time.

No sooner had Lucas uttered the warning than he was proven right. Several wolves approached the edge of one of the hills overlooking where the party was standing.

Sky: They're above us!

Cassandra: Something's not right...

Confriming what she said, one of the wolves' eyes appeared to glow for a second. Sky instinctively pulled Cassandra to the side as the wolf shot at her at a high speed. The creature bounded from where it had landed back at Sky, who just managed to block the strike with his gauntlet. The wolf was definitely putting up a fight, and soon the other four had similarly lept at the group.

Sky: They've got omes!

Whenever there are a lot of links...like on a message board...I really can't stand using tab to choose the right one, especially if you miss it. For other things, though, I tend to use the keyboard about as much as possible, particularly for copy/pasting.

As the wolf bit into Sky's gauntlet, the armor held, but the creature would probably change its venue of attack soon, so he wasted no time. With his other hand glowing, he pushed at the wolf's head, and the creature was soon covered in ice. That ice was swiftly melted, along with the creature itself, as a very hot spot formed where it had been. A small orb fell from the air in front of Sky, a tribute of sorts to his antipode attack. Grabbing it, the warrior brought a swift kick to the other wolf which had decided to go after Cassandra, knocking it to the ground.

Sky: Four of them, four of us. Someone sent these after us.

With that Sky released a small knife from his jacket into his hand and drove it through the skull of the downed wolf before it could react to being thrown.

Cassandra: Then that means they know we're coming. We have to turn back. It's got to be a trap.

Sky: Then the last thing they'll expect is for us to walk into it knowing it's there.

As the group is in the middle of one of the rope bridges...

Sky: Oh my god! They're cutting the rope!

The group gasps, and Sky smiles.

Sky: Just kidding!

Cassandra: *whap* So not nice.

I'm wondering if "O CARP" was intentional or a case of a Freudian text slip...

Speaking of more sexes, I think we need another one for the hermaphroditic users of the board, be they humans with a weird disorder or species who are naturally like that.

Actually, since flashing colors have been shown to actually work, maybe a hermaphroditic one could shift between the male and female colors for that user level?

And speaking of Alan Rickman, he is positively awesome in everything he does. Galaxy Quest comes to mind of him looking particularly good.

And I think I have to declare that, even as a straight man, I can see Johnny Depp as sexy.

Sky: Whoa there, lady, hold it! Eep!

Sky jumped back as the blue swordswoman whipped around to swing her sword at him now, knocking Cassandra down onto the floor of the bridge. As the new character prepared to strike again, Sky snapped his fingers, which glowed, and the broadsword seemed to become rather heavy, as it was drawn into the bridge, with the woman still holding on.

Sky: Look, miss, we're not bandits, and we don't want to hurt you. *glares at Arminas* At least most of us don't. Don't mind the kid, he's just a bit jumpy.

Cassandra, having gotten up, calmly steps forward and places her hands on the hilt of the broadsword, still drawn into the bridge, and speaks in a calm voice.

Cassandra: Just let go, please. You have a lot of spirit, but look at us; we're not your enemies.

Reinfors is a girl from Malaysia who posted here several years ago. She seemed to be around for a little while at a time, and then disappear for several months. When she did post, though, she would often post a lot, and help to start and continue sprees for everyone else. Hence the "syndrome"...Wooster I don't really know much about, but apparently he posted so much one day that Reinfors Syndrome++++ still didn't capture it. It's gone higher, too...insanely high...to over 600 posts in 24 hours one time by Anya...or at least that's the impression I got from the old FAQ.

Sky glares at Arminas.

Sky: Hey, she's no more brash than you are. Cut her a bit of a break. And Lucas....who are we here to rescue, anyway?

Sky: I'm starting to wonder what I got myself into. But I suppose I'm needed here, so that's where I should be.

Cassandra: Enough! You have the same goals as we do, do you not? You should come with us. There is safety in numbers and you seem to be in need of a party. Arminas, you have a party with you, and fail to recognize us as such. You're much more likely to be able to rescue your friend if we work together in this. Miss, my name is Cassandra. What is yours?

Sky: Hey, I hate to cut the introductions short, but the bandits are on the other side of the bridge, so we might want to be leaving now.

Sky smiles at Lucas and nods.

Sky: Oh, you silly bandits, don't you ever learn?

The bandits ran across the bridge as quickly as they could. The bridge itself was rather long, and actually managed to fit a decent number of the bandits on it. Sky stood with his sword drawn, which quickly took on a reddish glow, battle-ready as if to take them on one by one. Just moments before they would reach the other side he cut through the ropes near the edge. The bridge swung down to the other side, many of the bandits falling into the chasm, and still more holding onto the bridge. Sky smiled.

Cassandra: Was that last part really necessary?

The bridge was also burning from the side on which Sky had cut it, causing the bandits' attempted scramble to the top to be all the more hasty and unsuccessful.

Sky: Yes. Yes it was.

Nemo might be good, but we would need someone who's been away for a while to return to the board by means of someone else with a fish motif so that person can have "found" him/her...

...yeah, I carried it too far.
