But how can you hate the star? It's not doing anything wrong. It's just smiling...really really big smiles...and it's being happy.

Let its happiness consume you!

...I may need to modify this to an "evil twinkle star" layout at some point...

When you say the mario movie was overrated, do you mean the scheme or the movie? I don't see how it could be the latter, since to be overrated something needs to be praised quite a bit...which certainly isn't the case with the mario movie. If you mean the scheme, well, then yeah, I agree with you.

Already a thread on it here...

But yes, I agree, I am also very excited about it. Especially as my parents said they'd give me birthday presents after I got back, as it wasn't really feasible to send much stuff to me here in Oxford...and I think I can swing this by as a present...

I'm not sure whether I'll get a PS3 for myself. I am, however, planning on pre-ordering a few and selling them for a nice profit, if that ends up being feasible to do. Look what happened with the 360.

It's relatively easy to make a page, or at least to do the basic things. At some point I'm going to have to look up how to do things besides just type things up and make links to other articles...those are the most important things, of course, but hardly all that is needed.

Even if that is what you want, and you know that...it still seems like not exactly the best idea to constantly ask that. Particularly if calling for the purposes of phone sex is the only reason you call someone, as one person who shall not be named did for a while at one point.

Hmm, it might be worth it to download and watch some of those episodes, thanks for the link, Snifit!

I watched the show a bit when it was first on, and didn't like it that much. A few years ago when it was on CN, I started watching it again, and at that point, which was somewhere in I think the 2nd season, with Matrix and the like, I found it quite entertaining. Still funny, but had more serious themes and the like as well, which I think added to it a lot.

Hey, at least he's not an old man pretending to be a young girl, which would certainly be worse.

And which is also what my parents were afraid Amanda was for a while

He said to those who know how to dodge them...doesn't imply that it's easy, I don't think.

I've played a bit of Mario Kart and found myself not TOO far behind people who seemed to know what they were doing, but then, that's not to say they were necessarily good at it, so I know a bit how it is. Still, the same facts of racing games still apply to some extent, even if it's a lesser one.

Well, one thing is that I've never seen a spoiler tag do that before...so I don't think it's ALL spoiler tags in IE.

Hey, Amanda, you can have my layout in a day or two, when I go back to my old one, if you want. I don't plan on keeping this forever.

I think that in the interests of that, all day today the Twinkle Star scheme should be forced on everyone.

Though it goes well with my layout.

Sky yawned.

Sky: Honestly, your gloating got old pretty quickly. Put up, shut up, or get the hell out, those are your choices. We don't tend to like arrogant loudmouths around here.

Oh, I definitely will do so. Another thing that has helped me with a girl in the past is when we have a mutual friend who's more my friend than hers, and will therefore provide a good source of info on her intentions without giving away mine...which I don't have in this case, so I have to kind of play it by ear. Which is tough.

I guess any more specific advice would necessitate you knowing her personally

Posted on 03-16-06 01:05 PM, in Do You Think That Sex is a Trend? Link
Maybe it was different at my school, but people pretty rarely actually talked about their sexual escapades. That's not to say, however, that such things were not important in the pecking order. The difference is that there was a lot of general knowledge of what had happened, which went through different networks of friends, about general popularity with the ladies, among the guys at the school. Sex itself was often assumed, but not really necessary. If you had an attractive girlfriend, that was a status symbol in itself, whether or not she "put out" wasn't really discussed that much.

But I definitely see where you're coming from, and I agree. Popular culture has told us that we SHOULD be having sex, with lots of people, often, or we're not cool. Whether you want to say it's moral decay of society or not is arguable, but it certainly cheapens the meaning sex can have.

I've been Skydude since well before the original boards existed, and I don't think I'm about to change it now...well, not permanently, anyway. If some admin wanted to *temporarily* change it that would be fine, so long as they were ready to change it back relatively soon...since I'm only intending on keeping this for a few more days at most.

Girl, I've been blowing shit up for years. The board explosion that resulted from Xkeeper's setting the death clock in the past?

Yeah, he pressed the detonator, but I set the explosives.

Well, I have to say, I use only the best, and they have that side effect which some see as unfortunate. I, however, see it as part of the fun.

You know, I wouldn't have remembered that at all, except that last night when I was too lazy to write out a description for a new Sim-Battle, I went back into the old board and looked at threads I'd made...and I noticed that one. And I did hate how that looks as a name.
