Wow....

[A]MANDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm happy to have been successful in recruiting you to come back. May the insanity begin and never end. This is the real deal, folks, the legendary girl herself.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Nova: Don't tell me I need to play chauffer after all...

The rogue looked around but couldn't see the horses anywhere. Either they'd been smarter than Glenn (a good possibility, he smirked to himself) and gotten away from the area, something else had happened. The sun was beginning to set by this point.

Nova: If they're not around here, we'd best think of starting a fire as it'll get mighty cold pretty soon.

Oh, well, Grey, I think I misstated a bit in my little story, so let me know if this changes your response:

It's not really a long-distance thing in that while I'm currently several thousand miles away, that's just for the duration of this quarter, which has only a week left, and spring break, and afterwards, as it turns out, I'll be in the same dorm as she is for the next term at Stanford. And then we'll both be working in the DC area this fall. It was this past fall, when we were both at school, that I ran into her again after not seeing her much for the past couple of years and we bonded pretty quickly.

Does that change anything?

There's only one time that the value on sports games goes up, and even then it's only on ebay, as the game stores will still shaft you. One of my friends told me about his experience with this.

NCAA basketball games. They tend to come out towards the beginning of the season, and right around tourney time (as in, now) a lot of college guys are willing to pay a LOT of money for them.

Even with resume transfer, it depends. I've had a few files on Azureus, which I use because at times I've gotten absolutely insane speeds off of it at times (or at least insane compared to what I was used to, getting a 250 MB file in 20 minutes), which had a number of seeds at first, but then towards the end, all the seeds fell off. And I ended up as one of a number of people with 60-some percent of the file done, and no one with parts of the file I didn't online. This happened for weeks before I gave up on it.

44 people placing is pretty good, it means we're getting a nice dispersion already and we're not halfway through the month.

Really, I'm surprised I ended up first last night...I expected Manda's return to cause a huge spree where I ended up off the top ten

I think he would probably enjoy the other link from that thread a lot more. But then, seeing as he's still under 18, probably a good idea not to link him to it.

Happy Birthday, Mel!

I will certainly be celebrating not only Pi Day, but Pi second, on 3/14/15 at 9:26:53. Twice, both AM and PM

Just watch, when that time comes I'll forget about it completely.

I think she gave me one for free at one point too.

As for the sex scenes, probably a good thing you weren't reading the FF3j story. Granted, they were implied, but it became something of a running gag.

Drex: Oi, can't believe ya didn' see phys'cal stuff was worthless.

The ball of light remained in the air from the last attack, and Drex launched it towards the creature. It seemed to expand in size and shape, creating a weaker film which rested over the oozy thing to burn it a bit weaker but all over.

Drex: I 'ope that'll slow it down. Kirb was aroun' here afore, wonder where 'e's off to? Bot, didn' he say anythin' ta ya?

Nova: Well, if you're sure you're alright, I suppose I could be going now. Still, after what's happened, I'd like to make sure Miss Mitra gets back to town safely. Seems she's rather high on the kidnapping priority list, and at this point I'd like to know why. Also...

Nova rode his Sabrecat up to the horse Hikari was on, and leaned in and whispered to her.

Nova: I'd like to discuss with you the matter of my former employer and your ranch.

Well, it wasn't just me and her. Others got involved as well, and I was expecting that to happen last night after I had gone to sleep, since I went to sleep rather early...and then got up in the middle of the night and posted a bit before I went back to sleep, with still 3 hours to go in the day.

And it's not really just private sprees, others can and should join in, and they can gain enough knowledge of the situation so they can contribute to the conversation. No better way to become involved with "private" sprees in the future than to participate in them when they happen.

Well, Shroomy wasn't really that active in his return, and it doesn't seem he's completely gone. He's not posted in a bit, but that profile says he was active just a couple days ago.

I really don't understand how anybody can get by with just dialup anymore. The internet is basically designed for broadband these days, with all the images and such everywhere.

Well, compared to the Earth, mars IS pretty small. I think they put it shaded by altitude partially to make it more interesting to look at.

Whoa. I was on the main forum page, and noticed that the last person to post in Craziness Domain was Kirb, and...wow.

Oh, and DID you read the FF3j story?

Nova: It's a bit more than "protection" but I'll leave it at that for now. Meet me at the inn in town later and we'll talk. Well, if you're sure, then I suppose I'll be off. Later, all.

With that, the Great Sabrecat, with Nova on it, ran off into the sunset. Nova really hoped the town was indeed to the west of where they were, otherwise this grand exit would look rather silly.

The rain of missiles was more than a bit unsettling to Sky, who had only recently started piloting the orbital frame he was now in. Before any hit, however, he had put his mech's arm in front of the body and activated the energy shield.

Sky: Ha!

The mechs and their missiles continued to batter against the shield, and the explosions were beginning to weaken it. If some decided to attack from the ground, Sky would be rather SOL at this point. Just then, the indicator light for the Melvin Robo went out. The magewarrior looked around the cockpit for something to do, and noticed a large red button marked with the words:

ZERO SHIFT: ONLY FOR USE IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES

Sky: I'd say this qualifies.

The magewarrior slammed his fist down on the button, and after a few quick manuevers of the controls, the missiles aimed at him were hitting dirt. Meanwhile, Anubis had appeared in the air next to the largest of the missile bots, which it quickly grabbed and tossed at a group of other ones.

It got to the point that this was enough:

"Sky: *picks up the MINI spell and heads towards the back room* Just make sure you take a little while, ok?"

The joke was basically that during the part of the game where you make all of your characters tiny, Sky met up with a nice little woman and he brought her along, and...yeah.

Mesia ended up joining the story at one point on my urging, though it kinda fizzled after I left, as I was one of the more active people in it.
