| Tomorrow I have work to do that I probably should've been doing today, but...I wasn't. Whoops. I'm sure this'll make a nice break from work, though, assuming it's working.
So does anyone know why the board WAS down? |

| Sky had been sitting in the cabin quite comfortably. The boat ride was actually more pleasant than he had thought, less jumpy than he had expected. He reclined in the chair a bit.
Sky: Ah, this isn't so bad, I could almost *yawn* take a little na---ow! The magewarrior hit his head as the boat jolted forward, speeding up and making the ride a bit more bumpy. Sky headed over to the door and opened it up. Sky: What's going on here---oh hell no. |

| Apparently, the weather back at Stanford, normally quite nice, has been awful for the past week, and one of the main highways near the school has been completely blocked off by snow.
And it's been surprisingly nice here in Oxford. |

| Sky was surprised to see Arminas on the boat next to them...admittedly, not too surprised, from what little he knew about the kid...but Lily and Ark? The magewarrior was about ready to confront them when he just really couldn't take it anymore. It was far worse above deck.
Sky: I'll.........deal with you later. He ran back into the cabin and collapsed in a chair next to Clara. Sky: We picked the wrong boat... |

| Drex: Oi! Don't 'ead down there without lookin'!
Not exactly one to heed his own warnings, the young man lept down into the hole after the new arrival. Despite his quick descent, the end seemed rather soft, as the dust in his landing space appeared to move upwards into his path and cushion his fall. Drex jogged over to Chaos. Drex: Yer goin' forard too hastylike! Watch it! As if to confirm the warning, a large chunk of earth very nearly hit the two, between them and the small fort. | Eh, really depends how big the hail is. I've run into a lot of hail, and only once has it hurt at all when it hit me, even in the face.

| Sky, like Clara, was not having the greatest time throughout all of this.
Sky: Dammit, why are we going so fast on something so small?!? Wait...we're slowing down, whew. The magewarrior decided it was time to find out what was going on above deck and started heading towards the cabin's door when the boy started the boat forward...quickly...again. Sky quickly found himself slammed into the wall of the cabin. Sky: Why me? |

| The cabin door opened, and from the boat's depths...or what little depths the small boat had, anyway...came a very irate and beleaguered magewarrior. Sky looked very intently at the driver of the boat, and spoke very clearly and directly.
Sky: SLOW....DOWN....NOW.... And then he collapsed. |

| Sky released his grip on the boat - they were stopped now, after all - and jumped deftly off onto the rocks. Water itself didn't bother him too much. Tough terrain, monsters about. Now, at least, he was in his element. It was only a matter of time before he was ready to go full force again.
Sky: All right, time to WHOA! As the magewarrior slipped and landed hard on the rocks, he realized it might be a few minutes more before he was back at full ability, after that ordeal. |

| Sky had been recovering surprisingly quickly, and while he wasn't as spry as the boy seemed to be on the rocks, he wasn't falling anymore. And improvement was still coming. He offered his back to Clara.
Sky: You know, if you don't mind, I think I've got this enough so I could take you the rest of the way. Though I couldn't blame you if you wanted to do it on your own. |

| Sky: And just as I was feeling back to normal. Ah well, at least I can get started going downhill from a good point.
The magewarrior stretched. They hadn't really had much of a chance for rest on this trip so far, and the odds that that was going to change didn't look so good. |

Nova: Honestly, were you surprised something that came out of a stream of fire was hot? So what's going on over there anyway? Not wanting to completely have to rely on relayed information, Nova jumped onto Sabor and began walking in Hikari's direction. |

| Sky immediately changed from his relaxed demeanor to a very cold, serious one. Glaring at Ark, he drew his sword and pointed it at the warrior.
Sky: You've got a lot of nerve showing your face after what you did to us back on the cliff. You made it pretty clear you're not on our side. Give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you here and now. |

| Sky: Arrogance precedes ruin. Pride comes before the fall. I suppose the latter is particularly true for you.
With a flash of light illuminating the magewarrior's hands, Sky got into a battle stance as the earth opened up to swallow Ark. Sky: I saw you fight, and I wasn't particularly impressed. You'll have to do a lot better than that if you're going to talk like you are. |

Sky: The problem with you is that you assume the amount of time is always the same. There was no flash of light, and thus no time for Ark to react. For in fact, Sky's last ome usage had in fact been a dual one, the first to split the earth, and the second to contract it. Ark found himself quickly wedged between rocks as the fissure closed and rocks from the surrounding area, including from all sides of him, contracted. Sky: Didn't see that one coming, did you? Too bad post numbers are meaningless! I could use the money... I wanted to do something clever for my 1000th post. I hope this was a good substitute for something particularly clever. What's sad is that about a quarter of my posts came as the result of the crazy spree of a week and a half ago. Just look at the activity graph in my bio, and that one really huge spike. |

| Sky got up somewhat painfully. He smirked a bit to see that the "almighty" Ark had gotten hit at least as badly as he had, and then turned, rather upset, to Lucas.
Sky: I don't know why you're so keen on stopping me from taking out someone who tried to keep us from escaping what he thought was a deadly situation, and who just now tried to impede our progress. If he's not an enemy, then who is? |
