Of course it's not needed. But then, how much of this kind of technology really is?

My main issue with something like this is that it just seems far too likely to get damaged. I mean, come on, who can tell me they have a pair of (non-dressy) shoes they've worn for a while and haven't gotten them soaked or at least hit them *hard* against a lot of things?

Sky: You're going to find most people get rather annoyed when you assume you can beat them, and then refuse to back up your statements. Can't say I blame her for being upset with that one. She's got a pretty wide repertoire of attacks, and is a pretty good fighter. Don't be so quick to judge.

Ovaltine is kinda like chocolate powder, but generally a bit more "crystalized"; that is, there tend to be somewhat larger bits than normal powder, but they themselves are pretty "powdery"...

And if it "looks kinda dull"...does that really matter what the container looks like, if it tastes good? Function over form, I think, is what really matters. Also, it's the "classic" stuff that's really good, in case any of you have tried newer, perhaps (as I've not had it, I wouldn't know) inferior products.

The best use of the shoes with blinking lights that I've seen was on an episode of "America's Dumbest Criminals" where police were able to keep track of a guy as he escaped into the woods on a dark night because they were following the blinking lights on the back of his shoes.

You use a free camera and you get what you pay for, I suppose. I can't say much for the quality since you're using that odd way of displaying it that I can't see here, though.

Digital cameras are really great, for many reasons, one of which being you don't need to worry about wasting film, so take as many pictures as you want.

The other issue that's rather important is the time horizon you're talking about. Humans have been around for a speck of time, and even multicellular organisms were around for just a small part of the Earth's existence...and who knows, we may wipe ourselves out soon. So it's not just about whether or not intelligent life exists, which depends on quite a few factors such as planet size and composition, distance from the star, the kind of start, etc. that all need to be just right, if we want to find life, but we would need to find it during the brief (in the sense of the universe) time it exists. As for the infinite universe, there's actually a lower chance of life, at least as we know it, as you go out due to the composition of elements changing and a lot of necessary ones for life being a bit more scarce as you get farther out from the center.

There's almost surely life out there. There's probably another intelligent civilization that has formed at some point. There may even be one that exists contemporaneously with us. This isn't from a pessimistic perspective, but just looking at the scientific facts. The more you know, unfortunately, the less likely it actually becomes. Of course, part of the importance of what I said is life as we know it. Any of you who saw the movie Evolution may be familiar with the idea of silicon (as opposed to carbon) based life, which may have different needs, and to bring up another movie, Titan AE had energy-based beings. From what we know, both of these seem impossible, but from a theoretical standpoint they could exist based on principles we don't understand, and that could shift the possibility for other life towards the positive direction if they could exist.

Nah, definitely the UN. Bush was sending troops to help free bloodpool, but decided to give in to pressure from others saying that the demons there needed to be understood and given a chance to rule as they were only in that region and weren't going from there and attacking Fillmore.

Sky: I'd be happy to come with you.

Cassandra: But what about me?

Sky: You stay here and mind the house a bit. I've got a feeling there are going to be some visitors, if all of us are staying in this house. Besides, you've had a rough day, you ought to get some rest...

Cassandra: All right...just be careful, ok?

Sky: You know me, ever the cautious one.

Cassandra: Yeah, I know you...and that's what worries me.

Well, a rank you've already had doesn't become a 'mystery' when no one's on it...you can see all the ranks at or below your current level.

Even if the Acmlmboard isn't 'new' to somebody, it's a 'cool' thing what with these new ranksets. I went all the way through the mario one...twice...way back when, and now I'm using the Zelda one.

Nova: Wouldn't that be just a bit TOO convenient?

Sabor ran along with the group, hanging back rather than jetting forward as he could, even in these narrow settings.

Nova: I sure hope you're right, though...my own mount probably can't hold all of us.

Cassandra: Arminas...you really do look rather beat up. You need to rest. The others will do what they need to.

Sky: Alright, Lucas, just lead the way, and we'll get to it, then!

So one of my good friends back at Stanford will, as it turns out, be working in the same area as I will be this next fall. Funny I say one of my good friends, because I met her freshman year but barely talked to her the next two years (one of which she was away all year)...and then quickly became very close this past fall. Anyway, I was interested in her pretty early on, and she doesn't really have any romantic entanglements from what I can tell, but due to various circumstances I never actually made a move on her and dated another girl and just stayed friends with this one.

Things with the other girl went to shit around the time I left the country, and I suspect she may have been cheating on me with this guy even before, though obviously she won't admit it. I've kept in some email contact with my friend, since she doesn't use AIM, but I've really found myself more and more drawn towards her...maybe I'm just building it up in my mind. She definitely sees me as a rather close friend, but I have no idea about more than that. Any idea to gauge that before I ask her out and make things awkward, which it will if she's not interested? Or should I just not go for it at all?

Yeah, it's the entrance bridge to the tower, so that if you "successfully" cross it (that is, glitching in this case so Golbez doesn't attack) you should be in the underworld. So then you saved AFTER Yang died? Hmmm...I suppose you could go back to the top floor and 'examine' the teleporter thingy. I doubt that'll do anything, but it could be an event trigger of sorts.

I'm not sure who it is who said it originally, but perhaps the search for truly intelligent life can begin with the idea that if there are indeed intelligent civilizations, the fact that they have NOT contacted the human race may provide further proof for just how intelligent they really are.

So you like nintendo music...are you, then, a fan of the minibosses? Because I have yet to hear any remixes or such that even come close to comparing with the awesomeness of their stuff.

I've definitely done that. It's rather odd, once the water in the spoon dissolves, that it comes back to its original form. I think that speaks to just how awesome it is.

I must say, Pendejo is aptly named, based on this thread.

At least from my knowledge of what the word means, gathered solely through playing GTA: San Andreas. If it means something else, then I have no idea.
