Nova: Something tells me we're about to play Donkey Kong here. And for that, I have just the thing.
At that, Nova opened up his cloak and reached inside, pulling out an absurdly large hammer, which he then took to wielding with both hands. Nova: Bring it. |

Cassandra: So, Sky, why did you come along with the group anyway?
Sky: I was sent here as an observer and a peacekeeper for a few adventurers' guilds, as I said. I came with them because Arminas seemed to be in danger of, well, disturbing the peace, as well as perhaps having a link to whatever was going on. It seemed the easiest way to get a good scope of things. Why'd you come to the island? Cassandra: That's just the thing, I don't remember. I feel like I'm losing more of my memory as we go on, really. I know very basically who I am, but only snippets of my life besides that. Sky: I'm guessing it wasn't always like that...and we'll find whoever's responsible while we're here. Cassandra: One thing I do remember is having some ability to fight...but I can't seem to do anything. Sky: The two may be connected. Come on, keep up. Sky hurries ahead to the rest of the group, as Cassandra sighs and follows. |

I was going to say that that feature of gamefaqs is what solidified my online identity as Skydude, but then realized that the only reason I signed up (over 5 years ago now) was because the forums I had been visiting were down for a week or so.

Sky: I've talked to a number of people who have encountered wish-granting items and entities...they're more numerous than you might think. In every instance, there's a catch. In some cases it's like alchemy, in which you have to give up just as much as you get. Other times it's a ruse for some demon to come into the world. In a few cases you become completely insane...took one guild down in Yarkin about a week to pin down a guy who thought he had successfully wished to be king of a region, and turned into something of a tyrant...

I don't generally think it's worth pronouncing. If I had to, I think I would go with Sai-onn.

Cassandra: There's something more to that. What is a Linnara?
Sky holds his hand out to Ark. Sky: I've been told "Drenchy" but I doubt that's your name...just as I'm not really Mr. Bishie. Sky, nice to meet you. |

Wow, exactly 100 points for the month. Nice round numbers are always fun. And now I guess we start getting odds on my keeping this up or retreating to the Story Forum for March.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't really like Cow & Chicken much either...but I don't think I hate anything as much as you seem to hate them.
And if you got a score of -2, does that mean you committed suicide twice without killing anyone? |

No more animal theme names, at least not for some time now. I want to at some point come up with a large fad that becomes popular for a time...but most things seem to have been done at one time or another, from the ones I've suggested.

Yeah, but the other ripped thread titles weren't messing with Chuck Norris, which makes them significantly more acceptable.
Also, for reference: You're: You are Your: belonging to or of some relation to you (e.g. your bike or your aunt) Yore: A time long, long ago... OK, the last is just because 3 is a good number. |

Putting down the fork and picking up the knife, and switching again, is definitely inefficient, but I never really thought about it, at all, until I came here and saw that they ate in this way. Which is definitely more efficent, and I'm getting more used to. Not just for cutting, but also for helping to "push" food onto the fork such as rice and finely-cut veggies which can't be stabbed too easily.

Cassandra: I agree, that's...a rather unpleasant subject. On another topic...
Cassandra reaches into the small pouch at her side and produces a small crystal necklace, which she hands to Allison. Cassandra: I made this from some of the crystals in the forest while various people were standing around jabbering...I figured it'd be a nice surprise after the ordeal you must've been through. |

I think you guys may be disagreeing on different things, whether it's easier/harder in general in the one case and whether it's easier/harder to use two hands in the other...though I could be wrong.

OK, I was going to say this is going to sound weird, but reading some of these, maybe not...for me, what I really like is a girl with whom making out and the like isn't just an "ooh, passion" thing, but for whom it can be fun in such a way that, at least sometimes, a joke or various "playfulness" is not out of order, and as such, there can certainly be tickling involved. It's really the combination of the sexual atmosphere and just the 'fun' as well that I like more than anything, though obviously taken to the extreme this would prove to be a rather bad thing.

I think any topic with a title such as this one is bound to be filled with that, and little else. So once it was made, it was something of an inevitability that this course of events should take place as it has.

Well, I do understand the rationale behind it, even if I don't entirely agree with it, but even in that case, one could make a decent argument for why they do it that way.
If you get a gold medal, then that means that your country (or specifically, someone representing your country) is the best in the world at that thing...no matter how narrowly defined that activity is...which is often very much so these days. No matter how many silvers and bronzes you have, then your country isn't the best at anything. |

Cassandra shakes her head.
Cassandra: That you are safe is gift enough. Look around you. All of these people, some before others, made significant efforts to save you. And you've been through a lot. Besides, jewelry isn't really my style; I think it'd suit you better. |

So then, I have to assume this is one of the later steps of your declaration of yourself as the center of the universe?
And Colin, that seems to be a free version of SimCity 2000 or so...I went to the website but don't quite get it... |
