Really sad, actually, in a way. I went partying tonight, and I had been hoping to do some somewhat drunk posting when I got back. Instead, I basically just went to sleep at the time.

I do believe that should you so decide to undertake said course of action, you would very much be able to prove to be jailbait.

Even as it currently stands, we don't always have a mod on. But really, that doesn't matter. It's very rare that a matter comes up that must be solved really quickly, so you really only need mods to come on a couple times a day...in which case you don't really need all that many.

This board has really been overstaffed almost since its inception...we're not really at a desperate point right now for losing a few, which I suppose is a benefit of being overstaffed.

81 isn't really THAT old for most Americans these days. But he was definitely able to lead quite a life and he will be missed.

If there's one thing I've learned about the internet, it's that basically anything you want can be found...especially if it's porn of some sort.

...fishgirls, though? I think that merits a nice big

I'm not really sure how to count mine, really. There are several girls that I dated regularly but we were never technically "in a relationship" as well as one "relationship" in which I didn't actually see the girl again (we weren't even that far away from each other, on the opposite ends of town...but neither of us could drive at that point). So really, my answer depends a lot on your definition of terms and such.

Having something of an identity crisis, Tatrion?

Wow, I'm surprised at the relative lack of posting yesterday. I had expected to be completely off the charts yesterday since I did not, as I had planned, come back while still rather drunk and post some more.

Honestly, I think that whole thing is pretty meh. It's decent, but is basically just a lot of sick humor and little else. There's certainly a place for that, but I think the funniest things contain at least a bit of more intelligent, satirical humor rather than just going for the gross-out factor.

Cassandra: Maybe it's largely due to people like Arminas, who are increasingly threatening towards the monsters. A few bold attackers and whole "monster" societies will feel as though they're constantly under threat.

Sky: And then they attack us. I have to think that on our journey we've done more harm than good in the matter already.

Nova took the sabrecat up alongside Hikari's horse and turned to her.

Nova: It's pretty clear that we all have the same aim here, so we're going to be working together. And as such, I feel it's appropriate that we properly introduce ourselves. It's not my real name, but I generally go by Nova. Yourself?

At that, the crimson magewarrior gestured with one hand to Lily and Cassie to stay back, while with the other he drew his sword and pointed it at the man in front of them.

Sky: I don't know what your business with the girl is, but release her now! We will not stand by while you trouble innocents for your gain!

Cassandra: Wait, I've seen this man before. I saw him when I came to the island...and I don't remember much after that before you rescued me...

Nova: Very few know my real name; as far as the world goes, Nova is who I am. Since we're going to work together here, I feel it's only fair that I level with you. I was in that bar to meet you, even though I didn't know what you looked like. My employer is very interested in your ranch, actually. I suppose I should say my ex-employer, as I'm not about to go deliver info about this to him so he can do whatever he's got cooked up, and he won't be happy about that.

That's not so much anime as pretty much all media. Though actually, in anime moreso than a lot of western stuff, there seem to be a lot of 'tragic victories' of sorts, where the good guys win, but at great cost to themselves and their cause.

So I guess Germany won the most medals, then? The closing ceremony, like the opening one, had lots of people with fire/sparks coming out of their heads. It didn't really seem that choreographed, either, just running around randomly, pretty much.

I don't think a meteor hits the earth in the last episode. As I remember it, perhaps incorrectly, they screwed themselves over as such:

New building wiped out the habitat for some animal.

That animal ate these really awful plants, and now that it's gone, they grow everywhere.

To get rid of the plants, they dump a lot of herbicide everywhere.

Then they need rain to help re-grow crops and the like. Rain comes from clouds, so they need clouds. Their solution? Volcanos release "clouds" when they erupt, so they bomb all the volcanos to make them erupt.

So they do, and smoke blocks out the sun, and it becomes really cold. Rather depressing indeed.

So assuming Acmlm and others signed up the same day as the boards reopened after whatever catastrophe (which I'm not entirely clear about) occurred, as I just noticed earlier today, the boards have now been back around for 100 days!

Why celebrate? Well, honestly, because we use a base-ten number system and a big round number is here. But for those of you who were here the whole time, it's been 100 days since the crash of some sort, and for those of us who weren't...well, I suppose there's not really that much meaning, come to think of it...

But 100 days! Celebrate!

edit: Also, if someone wouldn't mind sharing the story of the server crash or whatever it was, I think that might be nice/useful.

Nova: Like I said, I don't think I'm going back to the guy. And he's not interested in dealing so much as a very hostile takeover, if you know what I mean. It should be a while before he figures out I'm not coming back. I'd watch out for those boulders, though...there could be more above ready to fall.

Cassandra: His hand glowed as the door opened...I'm guessing we need omes to get in.

Sky: But the question is, which ones?

With that, the magewarrior quickly fired off small blasts of each of the major elements at the door, hoping it would work.

((Also, since the topic of why monsters act as they do came up, this seems relevant))

I never really was a fan of Frasier. And what I'm talking about, really, is more along the lines of Family Guy. It's certainly not 'cultured' but at the same time has a lot more than just the sick kind of humor...which as I said, has a place, but when that's all there is, well, it loses a lot.

I had heard about the Death Clock...but I just assumed that was a joke and there was some other reason for the crash. That IS evil
