Well, even then, there's still slightly the danger that it will affect, very subtly most likely, the relationship of the person you're with. But it's probably ok in that case.

Sky: That's a lot, man, and good luck getting back with the rest of the group.

Sky's hands glowed a bit as he ran down the hallway to the door, and his speed increased rather significantly. It wouldn't be long before he caught up with the group at this rate.

******

Cassandra: Sky, you mean? He never introduced himself to you?

Well, everyone knew it was RvB, he said to name the EPISODE. Which I don't think I can do. I have every episode on my computer (Aside from a few of the earlier PSAs) but I'm not about to go through and watch them to find out which one it is...now, if there were Dani points behind this, somehow...

Manda is a girl who is now 19, and who was on the boards from May or so of 2002 until...I'm not sure when. She was the source of quite a bit of drama on various levels and with various people during that time. A lot of that drama was related to some extent to me, for various reasons, some positive and some negative. I've been talking with her since then, but not quite as much recently. Any more I said might reveal more than she'd want people to hear, and I feel I have to respect that wish.

Sky, out of breath and muscles aching, made it into the clearing to see what was either the most amazing display of acrobatics he'd seen today...or a lucky bastard pulling off a nice trick.

Sky: Hi...*pant*...guys...*wheeze*...wheeeeeeew, that was a tough one. Oh, by the way, we're probably going to be hunted down like dogs eventually.

Jeez, I'm doing almost as much as when I cared about ACS. As I was telling Kirb, I just like to post where I think I can add something to the conversation.

It just seems that I feel like I can add a lot sometimes.

And there's no such thing as time zone disadvantage unless you're one to race for a place at the end of the day...or if someone else is. Which does become an issue sometimes.

Are you not a fan of cats, Danielle? And being forced into a cat name isn't really any worse than being forced into a fish name.

Other suggestions:

Everyone is named Bob Day!
Have a seizure (flashing names) day!
Backwards name day!

In all fairness, I checked my first post, and I said nothing of the sort. As for activity, I'm sure it'll drop off soon enough. First week back, figure I have to make an impression, get myself out there, and I can't do that by just staying in the Story Forum most of the time.

Sky: Actually, if you remember correctly, I'll demonstrate on this spider what being attacked like a dog is like.

With that, Sky waved his arm, which glowed as he sent a fireball at the spider nearest Cassandra. It caught ablaze and quickly stopped moving.

Sky: Remember now?

Well, I think that largely depends on how sure you are that it's over, and what you want long term.

Are you completely sure you don't want to move in and propose to her? Are you sure that if you leave, you won't want to try to make things work so that you would be together in the future? If you're not dating her, will you want to remain friends?

You really need to consider these and other factors. Look at what you want out of it. But just as importantly, look at what she wants, and how reasonable it is. Even if you want to stay friends, if she doesn't, well, no use taking that into consideration. You may think you're moving in different directions now, but it may be the case that that'll change in the future, and this is a BIG test of that resolve.

But whatever you do, be honest. Don't try to 'let her down easy' and don't stay together because you think it'll make her feel better. That'll make it that much harder when it finally does end, because at that point you'll have been ready for it, but it'll be a huge blow for her. Just be honest, whatever you decide.

Well, some people were forced into the fish name. I know Kirbynite, who hasn't been changed back, didn't request Kine, for example, and he didn't even post in that thread. As for my own, I don't mind temporary name changes, for one...and I requested that one because I figured it was better than what someone else would have made up for me

Well, I didn't EXPLICITLY respond to that, but I thought I did make a note of that, effectively, when I mentioned that "the use of "simpler" is not as ambiguous as you or he make it out to be"...the two things to consider are that firstly, the idea of simplicity is really limited, at least in the most limited sense of the principle, to the number of assumptions that need to be made. But more importantly, since in some philosophical principles particularly it may be hard to quantify that, the principle in itself is more a general guideline than any kind of actual rule.

So basically, what I'm saying is that by looking at the degree of simplicity in as much detail as this discussion implies you and/or he are necessarily overextending the bounds of the principle to much more solid matters than it was meant to be used for.

((Dracoon, take note here, and don't overdo it on your own next post))

Nova: Jeez, horses can't tend to move that fast, that's no ordinary steed!

The rogue spurred on his sabrecat, but at this point he wasn't really gaining any distance on the kidnapper. It seemed that it would be on that man's terms when they stopped, unless the guy slipped up. Nova ran a hand over his equipment. And if he did, it would be the last mistake he made.

Sky: Bandits, a paranoid old man, and now a girl who wants to call me Mr. Bishie? Thanks for the compliment...I think...but I think a nickname is rather pointless when it's longer than my real one. I generally just go by Sky.

Cassandra: As if she's going to listen to you. I got off lightly as Cassie.

Sky: Cassie? I like that, has a decent ring to it. Flows better in conversation than Cassandra, anyway.

Well, Anya, obviously he wasn't the only one to think otherwise...

If it's a made up character, then it comes into about the same category as what I was saying before. Obviously it wouldn't affect your relationship with that made up character, since that character doesn't exist...but it could somehow alter your feelings, subtly, of the person you're with. So not as much 'danger' so to speak but still a potential for some trouble.

FF7 is a good game, but it's also one of the most overrated games of all time, easily. Good, but certainly not "one of the best games ever made" by any stretch.

As for FFX-2, I must admit, I did like "1000 Words" even though the whole scenario around the concert was a very lame part of the game.

geeogree, those polygamy examples you cited mean absolutely nothing. I said the Catholic church didn't condone it. That was part of the Jewish faith, and just like keeping Kosher, it has been done away with by Jesus. And why? Because he cared about women, and that was one of the things The Church did, went against polygamy when a lot of others supported it.

Also, from what you've posted and the assumptions you've made, you're hardly in a position to be telling everyone else they always assume they're right...because that's essentially all you've done, make unfounded statements and attack other people and their religions.

I think it's very socially responsible what the guy does towards the top, giving the resources available in some of those particular circumstances. It seems like a good guide, and I may want to read through it completely, as it really does seem pretty interesting. Not that I hope to ever have to DO that, of course.
