Well, firstly, that's probably a "trade name" of sorts rather than her actual given name.
And secondly, that's not irony. People need to learn what irony is. It would be ironic if someone with a name suggesting...purity of some sort (like if her first name were Chastity, for example, an actual name)...had her film lineup. |

This game would probably kill my love of video games singlehandedly if I played it long enough

Yes, the law is on the internet, almost certainly. That doesn't mean, however, that it's easy, or even feasible, to FIND it and reference it.

For all the times I played literati (and I used to do it as something of a common pasttime a couple years ago) I don't think I ever managed to get that. I'm just not very good and/or lucky, I guess.
And Colin seems to be avoiding me... |

So the tube on my rear bike tire broke the other day, and it would've been a lot more expensive to have the shop fix it than for me to fix it myself, so I did it myself. It wasn't too bad, but my hands got horribly dirty. Sadly, the flash seems to have washed out some of the effect. Basically, imagine my hands as the same color as the ends of my fingers, and those a bit darker.
Yeah, I have a stupid exp |

Well this seems to be rather hypocritical. I keep hearing that schools shouldn't be teaching moral values, that parents should be doing that...so why should the school be teaching moral values in this case? Is it "ok" because of the particular ones involved?

As usual, I predict massive amounts of refreshing, some manual and some automated, as we get closer to the views milestone. I predict as well that I will miss it.
I fail to understand the bit about going from #3 to #1 on a steam server... |

358 posts for the day? That's just depressing. We really need to do something to increase the activity. Most users online record setting is a decent plan! And at least better than nothing!

Eh, I say once you've done a few porn movies, the marginal cost to your dignity of another 20 more isn't really too much.
As for humorous things, the director of a show I did had some voice acting for a video game at one point (that he doesn't remember the name of), that isn't listed on IMDB...but someone with the same name as him IS on there, and yes, that person is a porn actor. |

Well, I doubt this is the government pushing it, but rather the teacher him/herself doing so. I think the answer to whether it's "ok" is the same either way, but if the answer to that question is "no" then the root of the problem, and hence the solution, is different.

I agree with SS on this one.
Really, there's no reason for the death penalty. Cheaper? Nope, higher trial cost, high cost of appeals and the like, the fact that someone is generally in prison for quite some time before they execute him/her anyway, under more expensive conditions, actual cost of the execution, etc. It's not like they take the guy out back and shoot him. Deterrent? There's some evidence suggesting this may be the case, but it's not exactly as clear-cut as supporters would have you believe. On this, I go for the logical argument as evidence against. You won't get the death penalty for anything other than 1st-degree murder. You can't be convicted of that unless it's clear that it wasn't a crime of passion. Anyone who can kill in cold blood has something wrong with him, and probably won't stop to think that maybe he'll get killed because of it. So much for deterrent. Punishment? If killing a murderer brought the victim back to life, I would be all for the death penalty. But it doesn't. We shouldn't be preaching such vindictive values for society as revenge...and the state should never be permitted to kill its own citizens, for any reasons. Pro-Life is more than just being against abortion, after all. |

Oh crap! I had meant to come up with something amazing on which to start the new thread!
Not much time left now... |

You know, I have a feeling this thread will be rather dull if no one supports the death penalty...

So it seems more and more clear that the curse of the ATS threads is very real. For one reason or another, it seems, all of them just sort of end before hitting 5000. And this last one came so close, and people were already marvelling at it. But it seems that was too soon.
May this thread have better fortune than the last one! |

Especially because I made the next ATS thread. Which means that needs to be deleted.

Yeah, I just noticed that in General Chat. They should've made an announcement about that... |
