I hate being a newbie, but I guess we all have to start out somewhere.
Hi, Im Zero. Looking at the member list, some of you may or may not know me. I reign over at ice board and currently am a Admin. So I know the rules and such.

I live in Detroit, and am 19. I am going to college at a local community college, for one more semester to get my associates in Digital Layout and Design, to hopefully get a full time job at a printing company or to move on to CCS (Center for Creative Studies) which is a big private college that focuses a lot in the auto industry for Ford, GM and DMX. I go to school 9 hours per day for a 4 day span, and work at a local graphic design shop whenever I am not schooling it up.

Hopefully I can post a lot here due to the busy scheduale and all.

Edit: Just to clarify, i would like to apologize for maggot666's stupid behavior about advertising Ice Board like he did. I am not that type of person and do not promote that type of stuff at all. I don't like wars against boards because of its pointless stupidity.

I heard Washington State University has a simlar program as Digipen, but only quite smaller in size. I wanted to go into 3d animation ever since i was a little child, and starting in college last year, my goal was the same. I took a digital layout design class for a pre req at my school and it changed my whole reason. In some aspects both jobs can pay the same. Which is never a bad thing.

Good luck in the future man. Have fun but don't do anything stupid. First impressions are always going to get you into those locked doors in life.

Yup. This week the ratings for the winter olympics came out for week one.
16 million people watched the olympics on NBC
compared to
the 24 million people that watched amatures butcher songs and make it to "hollywood"

Reason why?
Does anyone actually watch the olympics for the winter time in america? Or even know what half of the events consist of? Besides the new fetish of the states for female figure skating, does anyone know what the hell curling is?

Do i need water, the "Swiffer", and ice skates for this?

The American ice hockey team can't even out score a lativa hockey team. For christ sakes, its lativa! Yes, granted they won against Kazakhstan, 4 - 1, but thats because they face a country thats named Kazakhstan. For the life of me i never knew there was a country named that.

Discuss...please..

That's how it's gone.

And why isn't this being presented before the U.N. first?

You also forgot the small captions between liberation and democracy.

I posted this at Ice Board, just wanted to get some more different views on this...
---------------------

Ok people let me get to the bottom of things, and save you the tragic boring stories of my life. maybe this wont make sence to alot of you since your over seas, and since im up late and under the influence of heavy medication, maybe its my way to vent. But i need to get this off, before i explode.

Some of you, probably only a few drops of you know i definitly suffer from depression, but am never properly diagnosed for it. A handfull of you may know that i was handed alot of things as a kid, and up till a few years ago hardly worked for a dime.

Few may know that i am not a usually angry person. i dont resort to violence, or yell, and some say i have a very high tolerance for anger. However they may not know that it builds and builds, and on on few days that anger flows over and i lash out.

----

Few of you may know back 2 years ago, my father cheated on my mother, with a house attended that was hired by my aunt to watch my grandfather in his last days on this earth (Rest his soul). Since then, our family has gone down the shitter.

Days go on that i dont wish that this ever happened, days go on that i wish that my family was for one aspect normal, like it was when i was younger. But it hasnt, and i have accepted it. However, it seems for the rest of the family of mine keeps going downward. My sisters are all bent out of shape and fire random spurts of anger and energy at myself and my mother.

back when i was in 7th grade, 3 of my good friends committed suicide all within a 5 months span. one even took the initative to call me on the phone just before he pulled the trigger. I went into a deep state of just pure shitness. My parents never knew, only knew of one of them, because they found out before me.

I dont take finding out these things to well. I was the last one to find out that my grandfather died and my aunt died. I was real close to both of them, and my parents knew that. But for days they knew, and even my siblings knew before i knew.

They put me into counciling after my teachers noticed how my grades litterally floped from As to Ds. The councilor they sent me to, was aclaimed to be one of the best in the area. he made me play with blocks and legos the whole time.
The thing was that everything i told him, he conveyed to my parents over the phone at a later time. There was no confidelity at all. I later stoped going because it didnt work.

My parents decided to go after the incident 2 years ago. It seemed to work for about 6 months, then they couldnt help but stop going and give up on all the work they did to help themselves get back together.

When my dad did what he did...and then told us. I didnt hate him, but i didnt stop talking to him. Where as the rest of the family sided with my mom. I tried for the longest time to play the neutral party, because i knew if we all sided with my mom that he would leave. But what really got me is that he told me that it was a loveless marriage from the start. yeah...25 years married, with four kids and a 350,000$ house... yeah that sure is loveless. Countless hours i would have conversations with both of them. In ways it made them feel better because they knew one of the four kids still cared.

even though things are patched up in that area, there never is a moment that crosses my mind that he is still in contact with that fucker. because of this whole situation i refuse to go back to NJ and stay in the same house. Whenever we go there, i always put myself and my brother up in a hotel or stay with a friend. its always a promise, when i am older and i can take trip out there, im going to hunt down the woman who did this and ripped my family apart, and put a silver bullet between her eyes.

its a promise i made to myself, and intend on fufilling one day.

Is there something missing that is the final puzzle piece to a happy life? Is it something that im doing wrong? Or my family is just failing miserably? I do understand that women go through phases, but these arent those phases, these last for weeks and can range up to almost two months.

haha bomb threats...
i remember back in 7th grade (year after colombine) we had one almost every single day through out the year. The school even freaked out during a power outage that the power company caused cause they hit a faulty line.

then in 10th grade i remember some kid thought hed be cool and put a note on my locker while i was in gym saying theres a bomb in the locker...yeah that day was a very long one, since i sat in the principles office then down to the police station for about 5 hours as they tried to drag somethign out of me that i never did.

never did get a apology after that day..maybe thats why i moved school districts...

I'm probably like a lot here, and was born and raised (not crazy bad) Lutheran and intend on staying. I still believe in what i was raised on, and the whole lutheran beliefs, but im not that religious anymore. It kind of fell out of me once i got into my last two years of high school where i started working crazy hours of the nite and was never home to go to church in the morning, or was but literally got home and was going to bed as my family left for church.

I wont ever back away from religion, its helped me calm down when im on a anger spree, but for now i just am not into the whole church thing. Id rather do it on my own time.

I am going to school for digital layout and design. I have one more semester after this current one, and should have my associates degree come january of 07. I have had photoshop all the way back since ps 5. I have had several classes in and outside of my high school career.

Below are some links to my art. I will save you guys from the big hugeness of them, because i do not follow the 72 ppi rule for internet. All of my stuff that you have to zoom in is either 200 or 300 ppi. I know this isnt much, ill start uploading more onto the net soon.

* Note: ** PPI= Pixels per Inch.

^^ The front of my buisness card. The back is going through a face lift so i cant put it up yet.

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c273/Zer0Comics/wrappingcheese.jpg

^^ This one is a very special piece. We had to do a mcdonalds project for my design 2 class. We could pick any subject and had to make the whole line up for a kids meal. After it was due, the teacher told me he was sending a friend of his who works for the advertising department and picks future kids meal layouts to see if he liked it. Weeks later, during my xmas break from school, my teacher informed me that this guy did infact like my idea. He had some clean ups and told me that it would be put into concideration for a future kids meal.

This aspect of this project is a very old design. The final design hasnt really changed but the colors and the avengers themselves have been nicened up. Its about the only thing i can show to the public.

More to come

No wait; a New Age group. That's it.

Pretty nice, but I'm not really all that impressed. I could do most of that in a bout 10 minutes. The reaper looks prety sick though.

I infact did do it in 5 minutes. Its nothing impressive, cause i did it out of charity, and didnt get paid... i just like how it turned out alot. He didnt tell me much on what he wanted except a reverse pirates flag, with instead of the skull, have it be a grim reaper. I dont really understand how that ties in to the band name but hes my brother, it doesnt have to make sence.

Plus they are kind of punk/ska band. They think they are a band. with two people...

Iron Man, Wasp, Captain America, Black Panther and...crap, forgot the last one's name.

They´re not the best I´ve seen but they´re not bad either. The Reaper looks kinda cool...in its own weird way.

I was trying to go for the old style/comic look. The design looks lot better along with the happy meal box. If i can find pictures of the actual one i handed in to my teacher ill post them..

She isnt my step mom. She was a care giver over my grandfather when he was on his last breath. She did a very good job caring for him, but shes 25 and my dad is 51, at the time 49. What they both did was wrong.

Then him saying it was a love-less marriage from the beginning...how does one say that with four kids, a 2 year old house thats worth $500,000, and a 25+ year gaining marriage?
