Whatever you do, don't insert your ExGFX before extracting your GFX. If you do, the GFX will become all garbled and you'll have to reimport clean GFX or start again on a clean rom.

Its a good achievement getting into Joystiq, but its not quite on the same level as Fu getting into Edge. Congrats to Daiz anyway.

Lucky you. I did that after having hacked tons of Toad sprites for my Clockwork Adventure hack, and then lost them all after importing some ExGFX. Luckily, I had a backup AllGFX File, although it was slightly outdated.

Funny that. The idea I had for the overworld in my hack is that all the levels are unlocked from the word go, but you have to defeat them all to unlock all the gates to Bowser Valley. Of course, I'm not very good at overworld design so it'll probably never happen.

Would it be at all possible to change the pallete that the miniboss Renzor uses, or am I wasting my time? I need to change the pallete if the sprite I'm trying to replace him with is going to work. Also, Is it possible to have a fixed place bullet bill spawner that fires diagonaly?

Now this is my kind of movie. Doesn't muck about with fancy titles and the like, oh no. It just cuts to the chase right away. Snakes on a Plane. I'm definently gonna see that one.

Thanks asdf! I'm just annoyed that people won't share their secrets, I mean we're all one SMW hacking community after all. They had diagonal BB's in Mario returns, yet they tell no one else how its done.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Chris. Unfortunately, there's still lots that needs doing, but as always, school, work, family, friends and all that comes first. The list goes something like this:

Toad sprites - 85%
Overworld - 0%
Enemy sprites: 90%
BG and FG tilesets - 27% (Worked that one out with calc)
ASM Hacks - 45%
Misc GFX - 10%
Demo Release - 85%

Well, you can judge the hack for yourself shortly. As I stated previously, the demo is about 80% done. I'm working on it this very moment.

I'd lend my opinion, but from your description, there are a multitude of things that could go wrong. Be more specific, or better yet, post a screenie of the problem.

I loved Mario Paint. I bought it for my SNES solely because it came with a cool mouse, then found that game was fun too.
