I'm not sure what you mean by blue-swirlie-thing, I don't see any of that anywhere.

Here's the ips for the nsf of the game's soundtrack. Apply it to the Castlevania nsf.

Tonight's game Anaheim vs. Colorado. WOW

Colorado solves Ilja 2nd longest shutout streak in nhl playoff history only to be cursed by another mighty individual. Lupul... scored all 4 of the Ducks goals including the OT winner. Simply ridiculous and amazing.

People down here don't realize what a big deal the Ducks has been in the post season around here. Sure, they have arguably the most comical and dignity strapping name in all of professional sports, but this team could use a little more support. In the final minutes of the 5-0 win against Colorado, most of the fans were leaving the building instead of celebrating. And look at Calgary, they went from zero to hero and everybody loved them it seemed... but then they are in Canada, which would make sense.

I mean the Angels and Lakers have been getting their share of respect for their success in the last few years, but there is little love for the Ducks. Not too many fans here... and it seems most people who like hockey in OC are Kings fans... *barf*

I haven't planned on changing much else in the game, really. Modifying the game's engine is a little advanced for me, but I do believe that I could wield that capability sometime in the future.

As for the songs there is still some marginal error. Musical phrases in some of the songs that are supposed to be in the dominant treble (not sure if its square 1 or square 2) I put in the other one that gets dominated by sound effects. This is especially true about the song I used for level 3. I'll have to restructure some of it when I get the time. I might add in another song or two because of some free space.

Holy... wtf

That's kind of been going on for generations on my dad's side.

I was born in 1985. My dad was born in 1936. My grandpa was born in 1897. My great grandfather was born before the civil war.

I guess I won't be having any kids for a good while...

My aunt is the oldest in my family right now at 85 as far as I know.

Except for the fact that I'm the youngest and that the other children are probably 10-30 years older than me.

Now your family is starting to sound eerily similar to mine. My youngest brother is 10 and my oldest brother is 49, and there are 13 of us. My dad, who is 70, gets a new wife to work with every ten years or so.

Actually, that is a bit of a gripe. I can see how this is a problem. This is mostly a problem in level 1 as far as I can tell. Out of all the levels I spent time creating, I probably spent the least time on level 1. I don't really mind Simon's head getting caught in the blocks so much as the getting hit and going over the blocks. In level one, bats cause this problem. Here's an example of a sequence that would allow you to skip a good deal of the level:

STEP 1: Wait for bat.

STEP 2: Get hit by bat at right time.

STEP 3: Level design ownage.

It would be a good idea to cut back on the bats.

I think Oilers might spoil the California series like the Ducks spoiled the much anticipated Alberta one.

I keep reading these articles that the Ducks are aware of the fact that they finished the second round earlier than their opponents, and they don't want to be unfocused when it comes to gametime. They must be afraid that 2003 is going to happen again, when they swept Minnesota and New Jersey went to 7 against Ottawa, and having all that time off doing things other than hockey, they came out flat against Jersey.

Ha.

Replace the "and" following "Minnesota" with "while" and everything should make sense.

As in "They must be afraid that 2003 is going to happen again, when they swept Minnesota while New Jersey went to 7 against Ottawa (in the East of course), and having all that time off doing things other than hockey, they came out flat against Jersey."

I am very excited about contributing to this game.

I have already been working on some possible compositions. Here's one I'm testing out right now, in midi form. I didn't think about it when I was composing it, but the musical phrases play out kind of like a series of events. The five phrases could be described along the lines of "Lets go in, this place is kind of weird, wait there's something here, oh my god WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!, It's closing in on me and I'm finished". I think the "what the hell is that thing" sequence needs more melodic complexity, and am considering adding drumbeats to this song. I don't think it sounds too much like something out of symphony of the night, but I do think it's at least worth hearing.

The Ducks stay alive in game 4 at least, winning 6-3. Now that they've broken the Oilers' mysteriously-defeating-the-Ducks-by-one-goal-every-time-no-matter-what curse that's lasted god knows how many years, they might be able swing enough momentum to take the whole series.

25 shots in the first period, GAH.

Evidence of global warming being anthropogenic is very unsubstantial, and the topic is much more political than scientific. Its a process that many people spend years getting nowhere with.

Do you people just think the rest of us are dumb and brainwashed, or what?

I think that many people in the US are not concerned with doing something with intangible results, like cutting back greenhouse emissions such as Co2 to reduce global termperatures and stabilise climates. They are much more interested in very tangible progress, such as their paychecks. But I think in other western countries, people believe in the cause that they are willing to make decent sacrifices for it.

When the world clearly starts burning up into an uninhabitable 140 F degree wasteland as a result of too much anthropogenic Co2 floating around in the atmosphere, only then can the rest of the west laugh at the States for being so foolish.

I am very impressed with this game.

Good job on altering the enemy AI. I'm very interested on finding out how you did it, and I hope its not too complicated.

Considering that you were able to alter the AI of the bosses to a good degree, did it ever cross your mind to make new bosses in place of the original 8 robot masters? It came into my mind when I was playing on Woodman's stage and kept imagining the boss as a fat Donkey Kong with bananas twirling around him.

I am very happy to find another person who hacked music for their game. It must have taken a really long time to do. The X3 songs were totally forgotten by me for years until I played this game, and you did a very good bringing them into this game. I noticed in some songs such as the Zelda song the notes kind of wobble. How did you get that? (I'm taking a peek at Mega Man 2's music coding. I'm taking a guess that it has more advanced sound features than the older nes games which I've hacked).

Again, remarkable job.

I walked for my AA last week, and some genius decided to have the ceremony during one of my finals. After 11 hours of taking tests, I went home and drank several glasses of wine to celebrate, but then I was like, "oh crap, the ceremony!". I then walked about a mile from my house to the ceremony. I barely made it and was the very last person to get on stage; I literally ran behind the last person of the very short line, slipped on my robe backstage, and walked up to receive my plaque, have my name called and get my picture taken, extremely drunk and disoriented.

I managed to take a bunch of finals, get insanely drunk, miss 95% of what was said to be a very boring ceremony, and I still walked... so glorious.

I myself will be travelling to Japan in a week. I don't speak a flick of Japanese, and I will be very dependant on my friends. I really have no idea what to expect, it's kind of random that I'm going. Maybe I'll tell something about about when I get back.

btw, is there anything in Japan that is a must see?

Thanks a million for the lengthy reply, it's much more of a response than I anticipated. I will be anticipating the advanced changes that will take place in MMU2 as well as an updated version of the music doc.

I was going to type up a bunch of garbage and say I found it out, but I realised that Dan already knew it, since Stake alters the same data bank I found. I tested it myself. I altered the boss byte, put a giant bat at the castle entrance, got the ball, walked across a slightly glitched map, then advanced to just inside the castle. But as for level 6, the only boss it probably has graphical support for is the bat.

In addition, there are several other 19 byte banks nearby in the rom (for 19 stages), including one that says what stage plays what song, which means I don't have to worry about the second half of level 4 playing the music from level 2 anymore.
