Heyo. I'm working on a Yoshi's Island hack called Yoshi's Island Remix (SMW2R or YIR, it's also called). I'm still in the early stages, and am currently on 1-6.

When hacking I try to find everything I can, but I don't. I need a few beta testers to point out where I need help and ideas they have and stuff.

Those screenshots look awesome, I really can't wait to play this hack. I wish I could hack graphics, man, that's awesome. Switching around the icons on the level select screen would rock...I also wanna change the "Nintendo Presents" text and "Super Mario World 2" like you did.

I really like the Stardust level. Did you make that background?

Ok, then. I'll update you guys accordingly as progress continues. It's kinda slow - YI hacking takes a long time, and I've got a life too (gasp!), in addition to that, I'm writing a science fiction novel. Usually I work on four or five levels and then take a break for a little while, then continue, but I've got ADHD so I can never stay focused on a routine

A long time ago there was a person who released a patch for the NES Metroid that gave you a mini-map in the corner like Super Metroid, Fusion and Zero Mission. I tried looking for it on Google but to no avail; is it possible someone could direct me to the page or thread where it was posted?

Actually, this is pretty funny...not extremely funny, but funny nonetheless, made me chuckle every now and then - as mentioned it's got great potential, I'll keep an eye on this thread

Anyway, I've gotten back into the SMW hacking realm in an attempt to pull this forum out of the gutter, or so it seems. I doubt I'll complete this attempt myself, but I should at least try, god damnit.

I'm re-doing my entire hack, for those who have played before. For those who haven't...
