The level you are about to see may contain seens of "OMG INTENSE" and "...THE HELL?" The biggest level in my hack, with 4 ways to start that split into 4 more ways with so many enemies you'll be like "wtf?" I give to you - 5-3 - The Eternity Palace: Lobby

(alright, so you can't see the action parts, but meh. It's the lobby. What did you expect? )

Cookies to anyone who can figure out what the letters I W A E meen.

I'm in agreement with setz here. I don't use Tile Molester myself (YY-CHR FTW ) ..mainly because molesting tiles irks me a little. I read through this though, and you provide very detailed explanations on quite a few aspects.

I would say sticky, if there weren't already 7 million of them up there

Chewing gum casme insto this topic as me and Tatrion's plane to take over the world!

It's not working so far though D:

It was a plane to rule over the world? Was the plane made of chewing gum too? And it's "MINE and Tatrions" not "me and Tatrions" Grammar, sheesh D:

(zomg I used the D:L smilu")

*hands asdf cookies* Yeah, you got it. However, "I want an egg" scores bonus points for creativity

It's a big level (k, my biggest ) Takes me about 13 minutes or so, but I know where everything is, so it will take others longer. Basically you go through each element, find a key somewhere in it, take the key and unlock the four wooden stakes (yeah, not doors this time) and pass to 5-4. Quite creative if you ask me

Strange question, and whether anyone has the answer to it or not, I don't know. The game I am referring to in this thread is Yoshi's Island, obviously. Would it be possible to, once the player enters a level, to initiate a timer for that level, like in SMW/SMB/etc.? I don't know enough ASM to figure this out I'm afraid.

Would anyone happen to have a clue how to do this? Thanks

(yeah, it's my first ASM request, sue me)

Then the total frames passed is your new value * number of frames per reset + frame counter.

Then you just divide by the FPS to get how much time has passed and display that however you'd like.

Yeah, that sounds like the best way to do it...it shouldn't be too hard. I do agree with HH though, in that it was good without the timer - I just figured the timer may add an extra twist to it

I'll see what I can do - I'm only butchered my ROM about 600 times, so whats an extra +1 gonna do

Actually, here is my plan - if Riku misses one more turn after this, I will make it a "first post gets the spot" thing. People who have already asked before - they already have rounds reserved for them, so this will be open.

---------------------------------------------------------

(((((DARKDATA)))))

You reach into one of the chests and grab the key....when all of a sudden, you hear a loud shaking at the far end of the room. A large, atrocious beast, which apparently was there the whole time, begins walking toward you. He begins chanting "IIIIIGGGGOOOOORRR HUNNNNGGRRRYYYY"

(((((FABIO)))))

You head west, and turn south. Along this hall, spikes shoot up and down out of the floor. You notice a rope directly above you that goes over the spikes - however, it's safety isn't guaranteed.

(((((CIRVANTE)))))

You quickly exit the room, and reenter the hall. The room crumbles away to nothing behind you, and you're very thankful you made it out. There are still rooms in this hall, including locked doors, that you may wish to unlock/examine.

(((((RIKU)))))

-turn was missed- (2)

-------------------------------------------------------

USEFUL INFO: As soon can see, now that you have progressed into the mansion, traps are becoming abundant. It may have been easy up to this point....but it will not remain this way.

MAP OF FLOOR 3

Well, looks like all three of you are in a bit of a puzzle right now. I suggest thinking a bit about your next turn

(note) From now on, I will update the map every two turns, unless something devastating happens that needs to be noted.

Someone actually posted this a while back. I didn't bother trying it, because knowing my luck, I would have it pointed at my face or something and not realize.

That would suck.

But yeah, it's a pretty neat idea, I just really wouldn't feel safe holding a possible death trap in my hands

Well, I got my four teeth extracted today. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt at all, but it was annoying as hell. Had to stuff a bunch of gauzes in my mouth to stop the bleeding - plus, one of my teeth had curved roots, so that didn't help

I hear that getting the braces themselves (which I get on 3 days before Halloween ) is actually a lot less painful then teeth extractions. So hopefully I'm in the clear

Looks like this is going rather nicely. Believe it or not, I have never played Secret of Mana, but I still know what it is, so no fear there

If Secret of Mana is anything like any other RPG, then it probably has a pretty advanced event system. Have you found any event data yet, as in cinematics and the big special effects and crap like that? I may have missed it in the thread, so if I did, enlighten me

My friend recently got braces actually - he also told me that the wires would cut the inside of his mouth, and it was a pain in the ass. He also noted that the pressure was sort of annoying too At least I know what to expect anyway. Honestly though, I'm more worried about what KATW said then the pain - no candy

Anyway, my teeth feel much better today. They never actually hurt .. they just felt so awkward and annoying - plus, now I have a gap on each side of my mouth, so that sort of sucks.

Well, I'm off to eat an apple
