My powerlevel was stripped also. I used to be a local mod, and now I'm just a regular. Definitely a bug...yuppers...

And, the archive thing has already been noticed, so scratch that

Looks like you got a file overload, so I can't see the screenies. Switch to Photobucket or something, because I was sort of interested in looking at them

I'll check back later

Items Are Fun...ah, there was some neat tricks in that level. Such as the whole door-dropping thing into three different rooms. I also liked the fire climb by melting the ice. I don't want to really give to much away for those who haven't played it

Endless World of Yoshis was quite good too, but long. And the falling thorn part near the beginning sucked

I woke up this morning, walked straight nto my wall next to my bed. I forgot to turn left before I kept going. Luckily, I only got a slightly banged nose though.

Oh, and yes, I was wide awake after that

Definitely worth it Colin. You don't need to get 100 on every level to unlock them either, they unlock after you beat Bowser. They are some of the most creatively designed levels in the game...the 3rd secret level is pretty tough though, you'll see

I can get one side of the rubik's cube. Then when I'm trying to get the other sides, I always mess up the first side. At that point I do what CJ does, and peel off the stickers and put em in the right places.

It gives me a sense of happiness

My cat is nearly 10 years old now, and has been puking up her cat food a lot lately. Considering this thread is full of LOLicy, this may not be the right place. Gotta say though, I'm getting a little worried - and seriously, my carpet is becoming stained with it.

Alright, now I need some opinions. While I was tweaking around with 5-1, I noticed that disabling the forest part makes this level feel more "barren." In a good way, that is - I want to make the level feel like a hot wasteland. So now I ask - which looks better?

Exhibit A - Trees with bushes in the background. To me, this just makes it feel more crowded and more like a safe atmosphere.

Exhibit B - Tree/Bushless. Now you can clearly see the hills in the BG, with the blazing sun upon you. Somehow, I think this fits the level. I mean yeah, it makes it a bit more empty, but...

Which one do you guys think - forest or no forest? Majority wins

My most recent demo is a 2-world one, from really long ago. I deleted it though after discovering a lot of bugs/low detail. Now, the hack is pretty much bug free and I've tweaked everything up, but no one gets to test it anymore until the final release - which should be close to Christmas depending on how much stuff I have to do between now and then

I'll go with B then, since that is what everyone likes

@Tanookirby: New scenery? Nah, I'm not an artist, my scenery would be pretty bad. However, I DID add one new tileset, which you'll find on the final release...but that's about it. I did add a lot of ExGFX and changed quite of a few of the existing graphics, but nothing that will make you go OMG MONA LISA!!1!1

As for your level...I had planned on making something like that in a bonus level, sorta like Go! Go! Morhping from the GBA version...I'm not doing the extra levels til the end of the hack though, but I will definitely take what you said into consideration

@OOC: All here? Good!

-------------------------------------------

((((((DARKDATA)))))

You exit the room and the door locks behind you. You enter a new hall. It is fairly bright here. You can go either left or right. Left will take you back the way you came, but right will take you somewhere else. There is a switch on the wall in front of you with a label on it - "SHIFTY AIN'T WE?"

(((((FABIO)))))

You leave the storage room and enter a long corridor. There is a long red carpet along the ground with many tears upon it. On the wall, throughout the hall, and many paintings of seascapes, forests, and quarries. You feel surprisingly ... peaceful looking at the pictures. Right in front of you on the left wall is a door, amd further down the hall on the right hand side is a door.

(((((CIRVANTE)))))

You examine the drawings closely, and realize that they are actually maps of the mansion. Some of the labels to them are in English...but only the ones in the northeastern part of the castle. You study them for a moment, but it is too tough to remember all of them. You try to remember a few.

(((((RIKU)))))

The old soda can does not have any special features. It is badly crushed and chewed up. It looks like someone must have been here pretty recently studying this solar system. The room begins to spin a bit faster now.

The new colours in the cave look pretty good, better then the old ones. The pipe looks nice too, so good work there. This hack is coming along quite nicely, which is good. The whole concept of baby Mario will be very interesting to see.

Nice work so far

I made a bubble in photoshop once. Then I tried to change the colour and ruined it. That made me sad

Oh right. Nice job with it. I don't speak Japanese, so I can't help you with that. I still think it's rather nice though, not OMG AWESOME, but pleasing to look at.

As for RPGs...Tales of Phantasia is awesome if you can find an English version. Frickin hard at times (find my Undine thread ) but hella fun all the same. Paper Mario, yes, Paper Mario 2, double whammy hell yes. I can't put this game down even after I beat it (level 99 is coming sooooooon).

I also like Morrowind along with Thexare. It is an extremely fun game, and huge. Also, if you get the PC version, you get the map editor ( the map editor)

Finally, one of my all-time favourites, is definitely Final Fantasy 3/6. That was one of the first RPGs I played, and definitely one of the most memorable. I was 11 years old, and had it for my SNES....ah, it was just great *memories*

Plenty of great RPGs out there, trust me on that
