Ok, not really a bump, but I don't want this game to die...

I'll give you guys three more days to solve this puzzle. Solve it on the first day, I'll give you 2 bonus points. Second day, 1 bonus point, and the third day, NO bonus points.

If no one can solve it, then a new puzzle will be introduced...

1. It's just a random bug that happens. You can make OTHER run time errors happen by clicking *create* when nothing is selected to paste. Careful though...one of them screwed up my level.

2. Dirt inbetween the ridges? I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that, but if my guess is right, you could put either a right or left corner of normal ground, or a big orange block where the dirt is. You might wanna post a screenie of this one.

No. Not if it's added with SNES tool. You take an unheadered ROM that has already been hacked, add a header to it, it screws up in EggVine. Remove the header, it screws up in EggVine even more. Try to repair the header, and holy crap you won't even remember what your level looked like.

I had the bad experience of figuring this out the hard way....of course, SNES tool is ancient, so that might have something to do with it

Too many sites feel the need to mix unheadered and headered ROMs together now, it never used to be that way, it just started recently. They could at least change the extension of non-headered ROMs...

Quoted because it's so true

THEN, you gotta get Squash to try and fix your level, and he prolly wont, but if he did try, he most likely wont fix all of it. Be careful of this padawan.

Of course, some objects are ment to be dragged backwards in order to work, but most will crash your level.

ALL objects crash when they are -1 in any size. I figured that out a while ago and told Squash about it... I think...

But yeah. If you are ever stumped on something, just check out the other levels and see what are used to build that level.

Not true. A lot of items I have used as -1 in any size, like crossections, coins, even ground. Also, if some objects like the red stairs, are dragged to a certain length and width, they crash the level.

BTW 13th, that link you posted is broken.

Hmmm....yes. I see you're attempting crossections. That's a brave task...let me tell you you did it well. Now, I see what you mean...

Objects 7A and 7B are also crossections. 7B is the diagonal crossection while 7A is a normal one. They are both called *Weird* when you search for them. I suggest trying to use 7A to fill that gap there, and it should work.

^^^^

Now if anyone really thinks I'm gonna write that much, they have another thing coming

I like the level design, and it sounds like you have an interesting storyline, which is good. The yellow switch palace curtains are sick. The dark dimension passage also looks very cool - the colours are spiffy.

I really like the water palette on Koopa Ridge, even though it's just water, it makes me thirsty

The Desert blocks from SMB2 are too stretched, therefore making them look odd.

The dark boos are way too purple, you can hardly see their faces. (though that just may be the screenshot - may be different in emulator.)

Frozen levels look sweet

Earth level looks nice

Nice job so far. This hack is coming along great

Millenia: I see you played Grandia

Anyways, I don't really like the layout. The white is a bit...em....annoying. I would suggest green or something, because white is bright. Also, as already stated, the stickman has to go, or at least put it to the side or something.

For your first layout, it's alright, but far from perfect

Not back 13th. Not bad. But a word of advice for you...don't overdo your first level.
It's gotta be easy for people to figure out and such...the level you created would make a great 1-5 or something.

I'd like to see how far you get with this. A lot of people tend to give up shortly after world 1....will you be one of the few (waitaminute...I guess only me and GY) who makes it far?

Good luck...you're off to a good start

(ps. back from Denver in 3 days so I can start hacking again )
