Um...So, basically, your first paragraph was what I just said... What, exactly, am I 'predisposed' to? I just said what you said: porn doesn't lead to rape, but abuse of it can be a bad influence. That's what I said in my last post, correct? I didn't say it DOES lead to rape, I said it CAN, just like how violent video games CAN lead to murder--obviously, you almost always have a screwed up person to begin with, but a bad influence on a mentally unstable person is certainly still a bad influence.
Neither of us are rapists, so you're right, but no one here is a doctor, either, and yet people have suggested I require a 'checking out.' *shrug* So there ya go. We're allowed to have opinions. I don't believe I've ever said a single time that no one should ever look up porn. Why I do what I do? Maybe because I have a sex drive and sexual tension builds up after a while...? Why else? I don't do it for the sheer joy of it, because if I had complete choice, like I said, I'd rather eliminate my sex drive for some while and wait until I'm able to have sex with someone. Unfortunately, we don't really have a choice when it comes to that sort of thing. |

Yea, I know that feeling (materbation) and obviously, a lot of guys here feel that way, especially since they consider concentrating on lustfiul thoughts as a sin and all...

| I really care about adding characters, because Melee would not be nearly as good a sequel if they didn't add any characters.
Melee is a fighting game, and good fighting games swell up their rosters with new characters, and since SSB games are tributes to Nintendo, it's nice to add new characters. I'm sure they'll surprise us, just like they did with Melee. I'm not so sure about a shell being packed in the box, but we'll see. People keep forgetting that GCN controllers will still plug in--potentially, we could use standard GCN controllers with the Rev. But I thought about it, and it would be REALLY nice if we got a better Adventure mode. Imagine the possibilities of different things with the new controller. I hope that at the GDC Iwata reveals a trailer of this game--don't put it past him, he did it with Twilight Princess at the last GDC. They could do what they did with TP--release a trailer for SSB3 at the GDC, then open a demo at E3. | Oh, no, you're fine. I know I'm sensitive. I only take offense when people decide to assume things about me they don't know but treat them as fact and make suggestions on how to change those things, implying that there's something wrong with me when they don't even KNOW me. Of course, even if someone doesn't mean it that way, if that's the way I interpret it, I'll get upset about it.
But...dude, my upbringing? What, you think I was brought up in some candy-coated Churchland? LOL. Bullshit. That's the only thing I find offense at, but only because you stated your sentence as fact, as if you somehow know how I was brought up and know that it is the source of some problem, which therefore implies that my sexuality is some problem that should be fixed or altered. And even then, it doesn't offend me that much, because I know you didn't mean to insult or mock. I was raised as a child in a world dealing with racism (and I'm white, yet racism was shoved down my face every day), verbal, mental, physical, sexual abuse... My 'father' at the time was a drug abuser, too, and real bad. He was drunk or high half of the time. So, yet again, don't say as a fact that you know my upbringing is making me shameful or fearful.  All of the shit I dealt with as a kid didn't make me think it was OK to participate in it--it did the opposite. It made me realize how shitty and stupid that crap was at an early age.
And I'm not fearful of my sexuality. If I was afraid, I wouldn't be protesting about it. When I'm afraid, I suck in all the advice I can get, not shove it away. Shameful? Not really. I only feel weird because I'm different. I'm shameful that I decided to trust the people here by being open with my sexuality and I'm shameful that I didn't foresee me being so sensitive about it. And although psychological addictions may not be so bad when it comes to porn, all physical addictions are partially psychological. Drugs can aim to fix physical problems, but there are some psychological problems that no drug can fix. Physical and psychological stuff are not two totally separate, unconnected things. Some people are addicted to coffee, but not by choice. Same with cigarrettes. Physically, you could just stop smoking. But there is a psychological addiction, too, so it's not just a choice. I'm not even sure what a burka IS...But yes, I do picture women when I masterbate, since you asked. And testorone may be normal, but that doesn't mean you should let it control you. It IS something to fight against, because letting your penis think for you instead of your brain hardly ever did anyone any good in the end. I've never said anything to say I was gay, but some people took it that way. XD It's all because people assume things. Which is fine and natural, everyone does that, I just don't like it when assumptions get placed on people and treated as fact. Q: OK. I'm a freshman in college. Never had a girlfriend, never have held hands, never anything beyond liking a girl. I've had my heart crushed twice by girls in the past, who, once I exp Now I'm in college and I've met a girl I like. We've known each other since the beginning of the school year. We used to talk through e-mail/messenger a lot last semester, but now we don't. Now we see each other in person for a little bit each day at lunch when our friends are all hanging out. She's really busy all the time, and she's really friendly and everything, but I think she doesn't really have any friends that are boys that she's close to, because sometimes I get this impression she's not quite comfortable when I'm around and trying to be friendly like she is with her girlfriends. Al of my friends know I like her, and some of her friends (who I've become friends with) know I like her, too, and all have been encouraging and supportive. However, I'm petrified to tell her about my feelings for two reasons: 1.) I might scare her off, since we've only known each other for about 5 months. 2.) I'm just plain scared of rejection because it'll be the 3rd time in a row I've felt so strongly and willing to do so much for a girl, only for them to wish I didn't feel that way. I don't even know what it's like to be in a relationship. But if this happens a 3rd time in a row, I'll begin to seriously question why I ever feel this way in the first place when all it leads to is pain and sorrow for everyone involved. I wrote a poem for her a couple weeks ago (not, like, obvious, though), but I haven't let her read it because I just know it would be embarrassing, creep her out, and she'd figure out I like her. So I'm planning on just getting her a rose like all of my other friends on V-Day and adding cookies to it so it's not as blunt and potent. I guess my question is, "Do you have any advice?" I really like this girl and I don't want to screw anything up. But in the end, if she could never like me, it would seem all pointless, anyway. |

You either do something for the person you like, or you have no one to do something for and wish you did. Or you're like me and have someone you want to do something nice for but must restrain yourself because you don't want to scare her away by going too fast, especially when she doesn't even know I like her yet. |

Hello, ever heard of Cowboy Bebop, one of the most revered anime series? Know why? Yea, because it's awesome and had an amazing ending, and the movie didn't try to explain stupid things, it just had fun but did it in a cool way. *poke poke* Sion, I PMed you about this. | It's never a normak day for me. Usually because there's always a girl I like at the time. Last Valentine's Day, this was not the case, but it still wasn't a normal day because my friend did something very nice for me and it made me cry.

Because it DOES. That anime had so many things they didn't explain that I wanted them to. So I would argue that you're talking nonsense. Spike and Viscious killed each other. OK. What happened to Jet? What happened to Faye? Edward? And they hardly explained anything about the backgrounds of those characters. The most background we got, obviously, was on Spike, but even then, there was still so much we didn't get to find out. I'm not saying you need flashbacks either, because most of the things we learn about the characters was not through flashbacks. I mean, FMA felt like it tied up more thanb Bebop did. The only thing that felt incomplete to it was Ed and Al hoping to see each other one day, and for some reason that didn't bother me. It was almost like they were exp |

| Yea, see, the sequel of a fighting game having LESS characters, omitting characters...that is BAD.
And everyone knows that SSB is about the characters. That's the whole thing that started it. If they were all generic random Clay-Fighters or something, who'd give a crap? They're famous (and not famous at all) video game stars that we either love already or learn to love. Ice Climbers? WTF, mate? And I love them now. If Nintendo does have a new series releasing with Rev., it could be smart to popularize them with SSB3. But it would be kick-ass to see another jump in character numbers like there was from 1 to 2. I mean, they pratcically doubled the roster. Though I wonder how the character select screen would be if we get any higher than what we have now...but still, I'm holding out for some new characters. Or, geez, they could friggin' just make alternate costumes new characters. I mean, make one of Peach's alternate costumes Daisy, only have it LOOK like Daisy, sound like Daisy, etc. Stuff like that could be cool if they can't go full-blown with characters. But I'm sure we'll be seeing one or two famous old-skool characters in the mix, as well as a couple newer stars, like how Roy was. When Melee came out, Roy had JUST gotten into a game (or maybe it was a little after Melee...). Anyway, I'm not worried about controls at this point--it's all about the characters. And I'm gonna die come May when we see SSB3 in action. |

I mean, I still love it, it's awesome, and I love revisiting a classic with beefed up happy joy... But DAMN, I forgot how good a game Mario Bros. was when it came out! I mean, holy CRAP was it good for it's day! Aside from maybe Tetris or Pacman, some would argue, I'd say it's the most influencial and ground breaking game ever made. |

| I'm a Mario fan through and through, and I've known about Negative World for forever and a day, but, frankly, I haven't really played the ORIGINAL Super Mario Bros. in a LONG time, and now that I'm able to truly appreciate it once again, I want to actually SEE things like Negative World.

| OK, so I've downloaded Mario Bros. 2 (Japanese version, AKA Lost Levels) from different sites, but I can't get any of them to work with NES emulators.
Is there a certaib emulator I need to use? Is it because the ROM is Japanese? Anybody know what I need to do to get the ROM working? |

| Well, this works fine and all, now.
The 'true' version is Japanese...and it needs the Famicon Disk thing...wouldn't that mean it's not just a hack? Also, howq could they have hacked the physics? Is that possible? Mario bounces off of enemies much higher than in the original. But I still have another related problem... Why can't I get the original Mario Bros. to play at a NORMAL speed? It seems to always play too fast. Is this just my version of the ROM? Oh, yea, it was. Now it's working fine... And I got Doki Doki Panic...holy crap. Frightening. It's baffling just how all of these bad guys were NEVER originally from a Mario game, and yet, they work into the Mario universe, and bang, they're Mario characters.
