| Actually, Power Star isn't that old, I don't think.
And the Xmas one is atcually from about a couple months ago. But the other ones are probably a couple years old. I don't know for sure. But yes, they are very nice. So if you're reading this post and you haven't check them out, do so.  |

But I'm still wanting more Fire Emblem or Golden Sun... Or, ya know, Nintendo promised they're working on an new series, so maybe they'll throw in a new character we know nothing about yet! That would be interesting. They sort of did that with the US version of SSBM. Nobody knew who Marth and Roy were, but Fire Emblem became popular, and look where it is now. |

| I love the 8-bit Mario, I really do, but Mario All-Stars was just wonderful. I'm always for a tune up in graphics and sounhd when the gameplay remains true.

| Um...See, that's the thing: I don't care about sex. I'm not interested in sticking my penis into another human being. At least not right now. Gonna wait until I find one I really care about and whom I want to start a family with. Guess I'm 'old-fashioned' in that respect.
Or maybe it's that I respect women more thab my penis. Porn is a 'problem' because it's like smoking. It's an addiction that isn't entirely healthy. I mean, no it's not gonna ruin your lungs. But I dunno. It may ruin your respect toward women (or men) on a sexual level. Kind of like how if your parents swear, you swear more often than you would. But in a religious context, porn is bad because it promotes lust, and lust is bad. But I just sorta think it's disgusting and sad that pictures of naked women have become a pass time for many guys. *shrug* Just how I feel about it. My little brother looking up porn and printing it out and hiding it under his pillow..see, that's a problem to me. |

| Well, I could go through the entire history of my 'love life' but suffice it to say that all it has been is flops.
I will open with a poem I wrote about me and this girl I like right now: Butterfly in the Wind Rushed is she, a humble bee, And I, a wayward butterfly. Maybe it’s Wind which blows me there But why would I decide to care? I follow the bee. Perhaps by Winds, perhaps by song, Yet either way, I drift along And flap my wings to reach that hive. Are they to say I’m not alive? I make no honey. Is she to say I’ve gone astray And shake her head; send me away? Is here where Wind wants me to go, Or there to flowers down below? I doubt I’ll ever know. The Gusts may push and forge a path But I need not obey their wrath For I could go against their spell And keep on flying, just as well. Where would I go? Though, still, the question does remain: Am I a slave, or just insane? And does the Zephyr really mind If behind I leave what is behind? I see a bee in front of me. What is it in her I see? So, in high school, I liked a girl, she was one of my best friends. Long story short, she turned out to be a slut, broke my heart, destroyed our friendship, etc. Second girl: I liked her, we were friends, but we didn't know each other too well. I asked her out, she said no, started dating this neurotic psychopath, our friendship crumbled away, try as I may to salvage it. And half the girls in my class thought I was a stalker because I was trying to keep our friendship alive...but, ya know. High school. 'Nuff said. So I've never had a girlfriend, but I've had my heary broken twice. And for a good year and a half, there wasn't any girl I really liked. And now I'm in college. And there's a girl I like. Not that I was planning on it or expecting it, of course. But I know this feeling Ihave for her is a bit different than what I've felt in the past. Can't explain it. But she's a music major, and she's busy all the time, and I'm hardly busy at all. So we don't see each other that much or talk that often. I mean, it's getting better now that we've known each other since the beginning of last semester, but... I don't know why I like her so much. There's so many other girls here that are physicall more attractive than she is, but there's just...something about her that, to me, makes her more beautiful than all of them. And so, since every time in the past I've felt this strongly about a girl, liked her spo much, cared about her so much, and was willing to do so much for her, it's always been bad, somehow. So I'm petrified that if I tell he my feelings, it'll make her uncomfortable, she, of course, won't like me, and our friendship will become awkward. And that will inexorably make me seriously question why I ever feel this way in the first place. So I figure I must've been too fast in the past, or something. (Actually, the 1st girl was just a slut, really, when it came to dating) So now I'm trying to take things very slowly. But I have trouble actually hanging out with her, because she's so busy. Half the time I actually spend any time with her, it's more like I'm sort tagging along, following her around, and I get this impression that she could care less whether I was with her or not. (Then again, I get this feeling with a lot of people, maybe because I'm so shy and quiet) There's so many other details I could go into, but that's the main gist of it. I don't seem to know a thing about 'pre-dating rules,' as it were, but I just know if a girl I really liked and cared about this much gave me a chance, I would make a good boyfriend. It's like this gut feeling I have. So I really like this girl and care about her, she's an angel to me, and I really don't want to screw things up. I mean, for all I know, love between us was doomed from the beginning. All of my friends now, and, well, some of HER friends know, too. And I'm sure some of her other friends have figured it out or could guess. I don't know. I just hope she doesn't know herself. So I guess I'm just sort of asking for any words of advice on how I can go 'at the right speed' as we get to know each other, and how I can hang out with her without forcing myself on her, I guess. Valentine's Day is coming up, so I'm pondering exactly what to do. I want to subtley let her know I like her, but not be obvious and blunt and scray about it. I'm gett my friends yellow and pink roses, so I figured I'd get her a white one. Don't know if I should give them all to people in person or through our mailboxes, either. She's from Taiwan, too, so I'm trying to be respectful to her culture and what-not. Fire away. Any advice is appreciated. ... No, seriously. I'm really desperate here. | That's really weird sounding.
But I'm also really hoping Nintendo gives us the option of playing with the Rev. and using a more standard layout. Depending on how the game is designed, they could do both. But if it's really a Revolution title to show what it can do, it'll be a game you can only really play with the Rev. controller, and it'll play well, too. Also, they need a refined online system. One where we can have a buddy list, etc. And search for rooms, and stuf. None of this randomized, Friend Code bull. It's OK for Mario Kart on DS, but not for SSB on Rev. If Nintendo can pull that off on day one, they'll be in a good starting position. |

I'm sorry if I upset you or offended you. I didn't mean to, and I don't think I was being a jerk about it--not that you said I was. 
I understand what you're saying. I suppose I should clarify: I brought up religion because I'm going to a very Christian college, and so religion is on everyone's minds. I'm not particularly religious. I mean, yea, I'm a Christian, and I pray once in a while, I go to church, but it doesn't control who I am or what I think. I don't think sex is wrong. I just see sex as something more sacred than just getting it on and getting hot, etc. If that's all a guy is interested in, he may as well just masterbate, because that's just physical. To me, sex is something I want to save for that special someone, and give it only to her. Sex is a beautful thing. It's how we create life. Its how we exp And you're very right about the influences parents have on their children. What I was saying is that if a guy starts f5cking girls in high school when he hardly knows them, sex probably isn't going to be something special for him. It's just going to be this materialistic thing. And that could hurt the girls he does it with, because they may think it's special, and he'll think nothing of it. My brother is in 11th grade, and I'm a freshman in college. I don't think it's my place to talk to him because I've never looked up porn, so I don't know how addicting it can be. Besides, my parents found oiut on themselves. That's how I found out. Also, I'm in college now--I don't see my family that much. My parents have things under control. As far as they're concerned, he can look up porn all he wants outside of the house, but they don't want porn in their house, and I think that's a pretty good argument on their behalf. Do bear in mind that my family isn't religious at all, by the way. We live across the street from a church, and none of us go there. But just don't assume I think sex is bad. Just remember that drugs aren't bad, either, until they're abused. And sex can certainly be abused, too. That's all I'm saying. Anyway, thanks for putting some good input into the conversation. Some food for thought. I honestly started this thread more out of curiosity than anything, so some substantial conversation is welcomed. |

I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not the female body doesn't turn me on--it does. The female human form does not turn me off. Just...bare-naked, it does. I just find that girls turn me on when they're wearing clothes, and don't when they're not. I know I'm weird, but I don't know why that is. It's not that I go, "Oh, my GOODNESS! NEKKID PEOPLE!" and run away. It's just...Meh. And sometimes, ick. But that's just naked people in general. I'm not all that reasonable when it comes to girls. I think I just place the emotional connection on a distinctly different level. I mean, a girl can be attractive, but if she acts like a bitch and a slut, it makes her less attractive to me. Likewise, the girl I like right now isn't as physically attractive as many other girls I know, but somehow, she turns me on more than the rest. It's hard to explain. I told you, it doesn't make sense. If it made sense, I wouldn't be puzzled by it.
And my last statement's purpose was to explain that it's not purely physical for me. There is some sort of emotional connection I seem to need in order to really be attracted to a girl. So it wasn't a non-sequitur so much--bitchy girls who I have negative emotions toward turn me off, but one I have positive emotions toward is more likely to turn me on, persay. I also didn't say that naked/porn = bitchy, so please don't misinterpret. I just said that both turn me off somehow. Don't ask why, because I can't tell you as I don't really know. That's just how it is. A smile warms my heart much more than a glare from hell. How are guys sometimes attracted to guys? I have no idea. They just are. If we knew why we were attracted to things we are, then people could simply alter their own sex drives at a whim. But we can't do that, now, can we? If we knew why homosexuals were attracted to the same sex rather than the opposite, then the whole 'gay = evil' argument among bloody Bible-thumpers would be put to rest. I guess I'm just weird, as stated earlier. Thank you for re-iterating. |

My brother would spend hours on our computer, and when I my mom would get on, she'd bump into it in places where he'd saved it, or something, or my 10 year-old little brother would find it under his bed by accident. That was the issue. My brother needed to keep his porn to HIMSELF, which, in a house of 11 people, means OUTSIDE of the house. He wasn't doing a very good job of keeping it to himself. My dad and I even agreed, and we told him: "Hey, if you're into that, that's fine. Just keep it where no one else has to see it." And I just KNOW that someone will SOMEHOW take offense to something I just said, because the more I clarify to re-iterate myself, I seem to get someone else upset. I'm sorry if that's the case--completely unintentional. I should've been much more specific from the get-go, it seems. And there's nothing wrong with Christianity, either. It's wrong when people shove it down your throat, that's for sure. I can call myself a Christian now, but I really don't think it's a big deal. People turn it into one, and, sadly, it's ridiculous. | I'm all for the revamped DS with the awesome Revolution style to it, but...
I'm more interested in functionality. The shoulder buttons on that thing are simply not fun. Playing Mario Kart DS hurts your hands after a while. There's gotta be a way around that, like putting the buttons on the back, or something. That, and I really wish there was a way to replace DS screen conveniently. Mine's getting kind of scratched up. Madcatz makes some pretty cool stuff. I can't wait to see what they do with some of the next-gen things. |
