Hm... Not bad.

However, it lacks the true Chapman Brothers feeling.

Well... Technically, this is a math problem, but there's no math forum. Also, I need this for a program, so I guess that it sort of fits here.

I need a formula for calculating the location at which two infinite lines intersects. The lines are described with a coordinate and an angle, instead of a coordinate and a slope (due to 90 degrees having an infinite slope and such stuff).

I've created a formula myself, but it doesn't work with all angles.

Does anyone have a formula that calculates the intersection of two lines that works in all cases (except when the lines are parallel)?

Problem 1: The door is next to the edge of a screen. Move it away from the edge.
Problem 2: Try messing around with the Layer 1 Initial Position until it works.

The blocks can be found in GFX33. Some can be found in GFX14 as well.

The blocks in GFX00 are the sprite versions of the blocks. (These should be changed as well. Keep in mind that they're not using the same palette as the blocks, though.)

Yay. Christmas layout enabled. I'd like some comments on it. Is the text background too bright?

The tile itself is never used. However, the tile space is.

In other words, that tile is replaced with extra Mario tiles (parts of the cape, IIRC) in-game.

Related question: Is the exclamation mark (tile 1D) in GFX00 used?

Got any interesting information to share? More specifically, got any information about the loading routine? I'd like to modify it to make which message to show to depend on other things than level number and X position.

Also, it might interest some of you to know that Mario's flying poses can use up to 5 sprites (3 16x16, 2 8x8), as illustrated by the colored squares in this image:

Am I the only one who really dislikes that the extra sprites were stored in GFX00? A routine that uploads the currently necessary tiles to GFX00 from, like... GFX32 would have been a lot better. It would have wasted less space in GFX00 and would prevent the extra tiles to suffer from the 3bpp syndrome.

No problem with YY-Chr not saving, my hack just likes my old Koopaling graphics, I guess. (shrugs)

You're not trying to use ExGFX files in the Koopaling levels, are you?
