2000 imaginary bucks to whoever makes a full 8-world hack with intentionally unbearably awful graphics (but excellent level design) without using any ASM or HEX modification (except for those made by Lunar Magic).... just to prove that fancy graphics and ASM hax0rzing isn't needed to make a good hack.

By the way. Not even making glitchy levels on purpose is original. Just look at SMW Minus or Chaos CompleXX.

Goldensunboy: That post is longer than one sentence, so there's no chance in hell that he'll understand it.

By the way. Programs can be executed from .zip files (if you're using the default Windows .zip feature), as long as they're not using other files stored in the .zip.

...okay... Windows cheats by decompressing the program to the TEMP folder before executing it, but still...

Edit: Yay. This was SMW Hacking's 7777th post.

The SFX (and SFX2) chip was simply a math processor that happened to run about three times as fast (six times as fast with SFX2). There was no built in rotation instructions, but the chips were fast enough to execute rotation code in real time, meaning that it was up to the game's programmers to write the rotation routine.

The C4 had built in wireframe instructions, but I'm pretty sure that it didn't have sprite scaling rotation instructions.

*Sigh* It runs on Windows computers, therefore, it is, as you called it, "Windows compatible".

Also... What's wrong with Console Applications? If your answer is "It's too hard to use" or "I can't get it to work", you're an idiot.

Pick up your graphing calculator and calculate how exactly to open a worm hole in the Space-Time continuum to a location 1 km ahead... Then build a machine that does that... Out of parts taken from your car's radio.

Oh yeah, in Lunar Magic.

Wait... Are you saying that the programmer made some kind of file to help users that can't figure out stuff themselves... like... some kind of help file?

How about reading the FAQ? Or... Maybe... *gasp* read Lunar Magic's HELP FILE?

First of all, Sprite Tool hasn't been out for very long, so there's only a few people that can make sprites so far, making it less likely that anyone will make the sprites for you.

Second of all... Having one request thread is better than two. I'll close this one and change the title of the other one.

Third of all... STOP RELYING ON OTHER PEOPLE AND LEARN HOW TO DO STUFF YOURSELF!

Isn't the musical note used by Whistlin' Chuck?

Edit: The other one looks like one of Mario's extended tiles.
