I used usage maps in Geiger's debugger. I cleared the usage (by loading an empty usage file) just after entering Bowser's door. Then, when the Bowser level appeared, I exported it as a TXT file and wrote a small program to turn the usage map into a more readable format. (With start address and length instead. Also, it filtered code, unknown areas and areas smaller than 10 bytes or so away.) Then, I tried to corrupt the largest block of data, then the second largest, etc. |
