Yes, I don't suspect Danielle will like it.

Unless she just watches the first bits with the scenery and stuff. Which is, as I said in the first place, pretty

And it looks like Wolf Creek may have revived the chat...

I can't believe how difficult you made it for me to win today

YAY I'm still leading the ACS. Repent now, the end is near.

I didn't say I'd win it... me just leading the ACS is enough of a sign of the apocalypse

It doesn't. It's always growing.

When it reaches a certain length, it falls out and a new thing of hair grows instead. It has no clue you've cut or shaved it.

I've not really tried sushi. There was something at a restaurant once they called sushi, but it wasn't exactly much of a selection, just something with salmon and rice...

I'd like to try sushi, but I'm a wuss and I don't like to try new things by myself...

I'd argue otherwise with the milk / water thing.

The water's better for you. You should really drink 8 glasses of water a day (but apparently nobody ever does). It's great for you. Wonderful for your skin, too.

Milk has its benefits too, but it's not as vital to you as water is.

Just nobody seems to actually like water, least that's the only explanation I can offer for the fact that everyone balks at the idea of drinking some....

I don't think I ever really had big problems with jealousy till recently. Seems that developing feelings for people makes you act crazy.

As this is something I've never experienced huge amounts of before, I'm not good at dealing with it... so unfortunately I have no advice for how you should deal with it either.

I just try to distract myself from it.

I think that my boss is trying the Diet Sabotage thing.... she keeps trying to get me to have cake. She knows I'm behaving myself!

That said I think I encourage another guy at work to eat junk along with me when I do eat the wrong thing

Ahh.... there's nothing like catching up on something you missed, by listening/watching a Podcast later.

I get a Video Podcast of an Aussie TV show (highly, HIGHLY recommend this one) called Chaser's War on Everything. Because the show is on on a Friday night I miss it a bit, but it's good that I can have a Video Podcast of it for later.

I also get a Podcast of some stuff on a radio station, JJJ -- I get a podcast of Hack, a drivetime Current Affairs radio show with a focus on youth issues. And I get a podcast of Dr. Karl, who discusses science and stuff.

Dr. Karl's stuff is really interesting, you get to learn some cool stuff about science, presented in a fairly friendly way.

What stuff do you Podcast / Video Podcast?

Well, you're lucky you have her support with this. I hope she's able to help you out when things get bad with this stuff.

I was naughty today... I had a little binge on some cake. Oh, it was so tasty.... but I'm not used to the sugar and it went straight to my head!

I'm thinking I might go have myself a nice, hot comfy bath. You know, with some lovely smelly stuff in it or some bubbles or bath salts in it, and just kinda... have a nice comfortable soak.

I went on a few big walks and stuff today, totalling about 12km, and did a few other things, and I'm a bit tired. I thought it might be a good idea to relax in a bath till I'm all sleepy... then go straight to bed.

Tomorrow is back to work (I had a "flexi" day today) and I am guessing will be quite busy, so I figure I'll get in a good relax while I can.

How do you guys tend to relax when you've had a big day, or are stressed, or know that something busy is coming up?

Thinking that the competition will end on the 15th (end of this week).

Then we'll vote for a winner.

So, if you want to enter, it's time to get your entries in now

Oh, a little bit of milk would be good. But I wouldn't go drink a litre of it to keep the hunger at bay. I'd have maybe a glass, then some water.

I'd probably have juice before milk though.

Besides, neither is as cheap as water either

Nope, it just grows.

There was some interesting stuff about hair on the segment with Dr. Karl on JJJ last week about hair, but I can't remember exactly what he said about it. But one of the questions that was asked was the same one you asked, and that was his answer.

Then he went more in depth on it, but I can't remember what else was said right now.. If I find it all out, I'll try to give you a fuller answer Although I think they just started talking about pubic hair...

Personally, I'm somewhat against too much recreation and free time, it strikes me as being slothful.

See, I need my recreation time -- I need some kind of relaxation. It's not a "sloth" thing, it's a sanity-saver. If I just keep going with work and housework and learning and organising and fixing and stuff all the time, I get too stressed out. Relaxation time is like the full stop at the end of sentences.

Sometimes you just need to let yourself unwind, let tired muscles settle down, etc. Besides, it was the first time in a while I just dropped right off to sleep when I went to bed, rather than suffering the usual insomnia...

My particular bath also served as a treatment for my eczema Most of the itchies are all gone now.

The "willpower" thing doesn't take into account that there are things that "throw a spanner in the works" of your metabolism, so to speak.

Like Zoloft for example. It's an SSRI, it's prescribed for the treatment of Depression. Even if you continue to exercise, and eat the same as you always have, you're very likely to put on weight with it though. I know I did.

Then there's the Sleep Apnea thing that was mentioned by Skreenname.

If it was always as simple as just willpower and eating the right thing, then fine -- but it's not. And that's just one drug and one medical condition that contributes -- I'm sure there's plenty more.

Yes, sometimes it's as simple as that somebody isn't eating properly or whatever, but what I find irritating, and really really mean is the assumption that that's always the case.

I find it really rude that people assumed that I put on weight cause I was cramming my mouth full of junk, rather than the fact that it was a side effect of medication.

As for the idea of calorie counting, then you need to know how much calories things like sleeping, walking, typing, talking, running, etc take, at the speeds you do them (you'd burn more calories walking 7.8km/h than at 4km/h), for your weight and height, as well as the calories in everything you eat -- I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't know shit about this....

Just for the record -- I don't watch my Video Podcasts on an iPod. My iPod is not capable of doing so.

I watch them on my Mac I'm pretty sure you can watch them on Windows too.

It's not portable, but that's not what I wanted anyway -- I just wanted to rely on the Podcast to remember to download cause I forget to watch the show...

Yes, yes, you read the title right -- go ahead and laugh.

Kingdom Hearts 2 won't be released in Australia till the 28th September. I've pre-ordered my copy to ensure I get one, and I've purchased a new slim PS2 to ensure it works (as my original PS2 is evil and stupid).

When was the game released elsewhere again? I want to know so I can have a bitch about how long it's taken to come to Australia... I think it's been... all year... or something...

Oh, and if ANYBODY spoils ANYTHING for me, I'll kill them. I've managed to avoid spoilers this long...

Why does it take SO LONG for some games to be converted to PAL???
