Water. Seriously, helps fill you up which means it can help take your mind off things for at least a while.

I know, cause I used to live in a house where my ex seemed to deliberately make sure there was nothing in the house for me to eat..

It's about some backpackers travelling through the Outback of Australia.

Their car breaks down, and a friendly local offers them some help...

Comparisons have been made between it and the Peter Falconio disapperance, backpacker murders and the Snowtown murders...

Apparently a lot of people walked out on the film, feeling it's crossed a line...

Oddly, yes, this can work -- but I wouldn't say every time. And besides, when I used to think that, I was trying to lose weight (I still am, but not far to go and I can't say I'm fat anymore) but now I'm closer to a decent weight it doesn't work now...

You can read the synopsis on Wikipedia. It's... more daring than some horror movies I think.


Personally I didn't think it was as bad as everyone thought. Maybe I'm just not easily psyched out or something. Seems a lot of the horror element was really in what they didn't explicitly show; and see.....that doesn't freak me out much.

I dunno though, I don't get scared by a lot of "psychological" horror. I get a little nervous, and that's it.

What do you mean "control computers" ? As in some kind of AI-assisted VNC/RDP session?

I suppose that could be helpful in the case of a lot of the more standard calls I get, but generally I have to be training a caller when I'm showing them over VNC, so I dunno, the AI'd need to be good at slowing down for the end user...

I still say the water thing is good. If you need some energy, have some cordial or a cup of tea or something.

The water thing is good cause you prolly need to drink some water anyway (even if your body hasn't told you you're dehydrated in any way). Most people don't drink enough water.



And uh... somebody's methods remind me of eating disorders

I dunno if that counts as some kind of prejudice or not there -- but I also think that obesity is a serious issue that needs to be tackled.

In some cases it's not that people are eating too much food; but that they're eating the wrong food. I think that kids need to be taught better about the right kinds of foods -- and I certainly think that school cafeterias need to make sure they serve more of the right kinds of foods too. I think that young people also need to know the importance of daily exercise.

The younger apparently you are, the more likely you will be able to lose weight you've put on. And if you catch it while you're still putting on weight you can be lucky too apparently...
