Lunch is a package of Ramen.
Dinner is usually a nice sit-down dinner with the family. Or Domino's Pizza.
See? Ramen is a very important part of the teenage dietary suppliment.

You're lucky you get some kind of vitamins or something in your sit-down dinner, cause I don't think I can find anything nutritional besides maybe carbs in all of that.

Ahh... the joys of being a teenager... you can eat crap and not gain weight. Don't worry... your metabolism will get you... one day...

Meh, I'd prefer a decent soup over ramen. Although I have no qualms with putting ramen noodles IN a soup, depending on the soup.

Let's nuke everyone. They'll get to heaven faster!

Now, now, it's solely a person's opinion as to whether heaven exists or not. Even given that it does exist, there's the question of whether or not they will go to heaven.

This thread sure is going downhill fast. All the guy wants to know is how he can get rid of ants that are invading his home, and it turned into an argument about the morality of killing animals. This is the part where I'd make mention of red fire ants and ask you if you wouldn't kill those (and allow them to bite you into a coma, or to death). So, would you? If fire ants were invading your home, would you kill them, or just go about your normal business because killing them is wrong, and they don't know you don't like that? Or would you just move out for them?

You can make the man and his dog move out of the house in SimAnt.

And personally, I can't see how eating ants is still a good idea...

I would take a screenshot but I am still getting used to Mac.

I currently have Finder, Dashboard, Safari, iChat, and iTunes. I could prolly run A LOT more.

If you wanna take a screenshot, try command+control+shift+3 (sends to the clipboard). Or use Grab. (from memory, under Applications, then Utilities... )

And yeah, you can run a lot on the Mac, and Exposé makes it really easy to switch between things too

Like mine... last week had this weird dream of exploring some waterlogged city or town (been playing Rockman DASH 2 too much )... suddenly ended up underwater, swam as hard as I could to the surface but I lost my breath at just a foot away from the surface.

Thats when I woke up in a cold sweat actually TRYING to catch my breath. Hell, scared me a bit. It did scared Kristi when I woke her up abruptly... Weird in my case...

I had a similar experience when I was a teenager. I drove a car off the end of a jetty in mine, plunged the vehicle underwater, and watched as the water level inside the car slowly rose. I also awoke in a cold sweat, gasping for air. I am unsure how long I'd been holding my breath in my sleep.

I tend to have a lot of strange dreams, but that was the one that kinda freaked me out the most.

My most common dreams actually if I think about it are the kind you have when it's nearly time to get up, but you don't want to.

The dreams where you actually DO get up... and get ready for work, and go to work.... and it fools you into staying in bed a little bit longer... cause you think you're actually being productive...

Then you wake up, realise you're not showered, dressed and ready for work, and you're now running late, and go "aww shit".

I seem to have a severe problem with those kinds of dreams now.

Reminds me of my little brother. He was notorious for getting himself hurt by critters he knew would hurt him. Ants, spiders, crabs, yabbies, my cousin's angry Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo....

Of course, I wonder if my brother did these things for the fact that it amused everybody else. Kind of like some kids will do stupid things on a dare in a weird desire to be accepted.

That or some people are just clowns.

Yes. HTML good.

If you don't know HTML, you can learn at either W3 Schools or Lissa Explains (*warning, popups on the last one -- but very easy to understand explanations).

CSS can also be used, again consult the above resources.

Make sure you test your layout thoroughly before even putting it on the forum. Close all necessary table, tr, td or div tags. (or any tags really, but those in particular).

Salt and Vinegar is my favourite flavour for chips. However, I can't have too much of it, cause it kinda.. "burns" your tongue if you have too much.

Absolutely love them though Best flavour ever.

Good on hot chips ("fries") also.

There's a con in Adelaide this weekend. I've never been to one before, and I didn't know about it in time to dress up or draw a whole heap of fan-art to sell or anything. I'm disappointed I didn't know earlier, and I'm not sure if I'm going to go or not.

We don't have a lot of anime stuff here in Adelaide (read: almost none) and certainly not the amount of cons that I hear about overseas...

This should probably go in the Help Forum, and uh.... I'm not quite sure what you're asking...

Link us to some examples, please.

This your code?

Edit: Trying to work out your code.. is this it?

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" height="100%" width="100%">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td background="http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=7/18701105855.jpg&s=f10" valign="top">

(pulls string)You are now hearing me talk.
<br>----------------------------------------------------------------------------

It might just pop up in the back when I post this but anywho, my post BG though is PNG wont show up, I need to mod it to be dark enough or have a space for writins before I can see it?? I need to see how it works with my text but it wont show in the sample thing on the profile thing.
<br>
<br>
ALso how would I get a post BG that scrolls within the post like certain people?
<br><br>--------------------<br>
Mickey go get the beer, and............Mickey go help. Mickey go park the car.....remember ones the go, ones the brake.............remember ones the...ok he's got it. - MADTV
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>

If so, it's... that is one strange URL....

EDIT: OKAY NO!!

Please do NOT use:

as a background!!

That would be VERY VERY VERY BAD!! DO NOT DO IT.

Pick a better background picture. That will make your text unreadable. And btw, that's not a PNG, it's a JPG.

... Kinda reminds me of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes, except Calvin's house was in the sky, and he fell when he stepped out the front door. He woke up because of his mom, and went to the bus stop. He could hear his mom trying to wake him up, and he wakes up for real this time. So it's kinda related in a way, but not too much...

Oh yeah, I have a theory about death. Maybe death is an enternal sleep. Remember those dreams where you fall off of something, but always wake up right before landing? Maybe you actually get to see the end of those dreams! That'd be cool.

You wake before landing?

I die in my dreams. A lot. I've been shot, stabbed, electrocuted, drowned, hanged....

The only way I'd consider using that picture is if it were aligned to the right or left and the text did not go over the top of it at any point. Even then you're likely to have a fairly lacklustre layout.

Text over the top of that... darker or lighter... is not going to really be a good look. Text over a patterned background of any description CAN work, but is much harder to make look GOOD or easily readable than solid colours.

You likely want us to read what you have to say, so I recommend making it easier on us to do so.

I very seldom eat either chips in either their "crisps" or "fries" configurations. Both ways they are very high on the trans-fats which are very very very bad.

Which is why I eat them only very occasionally. I prefer cracker type things actually...

How do you mean "match" ? You mean the colours?

Personally, I'd work with CSS. I'd assign a "background" div property which aligns that picture to the bottom right of that div. Then I'd create another div for your content, which is has margins that set it so it's not over your picture -- in that div's properties, you can assign border colours, thicknesses, etc, as well as the text's properties as well...

Is this what you mean??

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets.

Think of all the times in HTML you've defined a font by using <font face= and such.... well, CSS does away with all that messy bullshit AND gives you far more control over things. You can do things in CSS that you can't do in HTML.

Furthermore, you can make changes in your CSS and it can apply those changes to multiple documents at once (depending on how you've implemented it of course)

See the CSS Zen Garden for examples of what can be accomplished with CSS -- not a HTML table in sight!

My layout is also done in CSS.

Perhaps the best way for me to explain this will be to demonstrate, so bear with me while I whip something up for you.

Okay, the following is exceedingly basic. This is the data you would need in order to use CSS to create a fairly basic layout. I have included the CSS as an embedded stylesheet. This is one of three ways to use CSS -- the others are inline (in the tags itself) or External (link to a whole file full of CSS).

<style>
#bobthevilabg {background: url(http://f10.putfile.com/main/7/19323524171.png); background-position: bottom right; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-color: #150000;}
#bobthevilacontent {background-color: #000000; border: 2px solid D66000; margin-right: 200px; margin-top: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 15px; color: #FFFFFF; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 0.8em; padding: 7px; }
</style>
<div id=bobthevilabg><img src=http://chibitaryn.net/temp/taralelayout/empty.gif>
<div id=bobthevilacontent>

Your content would go here

</div><img src=http://chibitaryn.net/temp/taralelayout/empty.gif></div>

This would create the effect as seen as my current (in this post) post layout (hopefully).

There is some strangeness in the bottom of that image, but you get the general idea, I hope.

And not a HTML table in sight.

You'd have to resolve the apparent hotlinking issues first, but everything above "Your content goes here" is a header, and everything below "Your content goes here" goes in your footer.

I don't know how this putfile crap works, but apparently your image does the hotlinking thing.

And get your own "empty.gif".
