See, I know it's PVC, but I don't want to wind up with fetish clothing that I'm never going to wear again at high cost, when I will likely be able to wear a nice leather jacket again sometime.

And it's tomorrow. Ordering online = useless.

PS. I might have lost a lot of weight, but I don't think I'm comfortable dressing in clothes QUITE as tight as Trinity's yet. I'm going with some tight black jeans and a fitted black shirt.... PVC too shiny... show off wobbly fat muffintop and other delightful wobbly uglies. BAD. Matte clothing good. Shiny bad...

It just sounds to me like they're running out of ideas.

Few things they could do ARE as marketable as music, but there's only so much music related reality tv they can do....

But if I'm directly spoken to, I do at least say hi, but I'm not good at making eye contact with other people, I dunno, I get embarassed or something, or I feel like I'm staring.

"Permanent" status, full-time Government employee. Generally 9-5 most days, but 10-6 on two days a week, where I'm on the "late shift" and have to cover the last hour of our telephone availability schedule.

Today wasn't a late shift day so I had to be up early

I don't mind the occasional abbreviation, but I would tend not to use them when replying to a messageboard thread.

They're for IM's, and sometimes SMS's, but that's about it. And even then, I seldom use too much abbreviation.

I do find it harder to read generally.... it doesn't "flow" like full words do.

Well, like I said, the original concept I came across at least. I much preferred it when there was that element of humor and fun to it.

I actually rather dislike the sex-symbol thing it's turned into, with the characters depicted more or less as Windows-branded flesh.

But the original idea was so much fun! It was a cute way of poking fun at all the screw-ups of Windows and other OSes and software! With XP-tan always needing to eat more memory, and ME-tan microwaving things she shouldn't.... (I think it was a can of beans or something... it went boom)

Speaking of things making you stupider.. I'm positive the internet is making my grasp of grammar and spelling slip away.

I'm picking up weird Americanisms, like "color" instead of "colour", I keep screwing up basic things like there, their and they're.... Or too and to... STUFF I FRICKEN LEARNED IN PRIMARY SCHOOL!!! ARGH!!

I never used to do this!!

And the problem isn't even AOL speak related....

EDIT: And I've developed a typo related issue with i before e except after c, where my fingers switch letters around! Grrr....

I hear you also on the idea that the experiences (good or bad) you go through shape you into a better person.

I think back on all the worst things that have happened to me, and even though they all sucked pretty bad (my father's passing for one, and that... incident.. in high school I've mentioned a few times before for another) I don't think I'd give up those experiences.

They have -- for better or for worse -- shaped me into who I am.

And while I might not always like myself (perhaps also because of some of those things), most of the time I'm happy with the person I am.

I think though for my "happy ending", I need to learn to be at peace with myself better. I don't think I can expect others to respect me while I have little/difficult respect for myself.

Is there some port forwarding or something that needs to be done in order to allow certain traffic through or such??

Signal? So it's a wireless router??

I confused. But then, I don't have a DS, so meh. With mine at home, I'd have to configure my Linksys to recognise the MAC address of the DS, and such... does the DS support WPA?

Ah. I asked because I suspect it would have trouble with my configuration.

My SSID is hidden, it allows only MAC addresses that I allow, and it uses WPA to authenticate. I suspect the DS is just going to ignore my wireless.

I'd have to loosen security I suspect for the DS to work. Something I am currently unwilling to do.

I also suspect it's not a major issue. I just thought it might be something like eczema cause I sometimes have dried blood on my clothes and it's cause I've scratched an itch till it bled in my sleep.

I don't tend to do that so much anymore, but I did a lot when I was a teenager.

I dunno, it's possible that yes, she might like you and it's coming out in VERY weird ways. But if she's throwing around the kinds of threats she is, I'd be discussing this with her parent or something at some point. Not sure how to go about doing that either, but it might cover you if she does start throwing around wild accusations later down the track.

Hmm... yeah, that would be a step down in security, so it's not happening. I like my WPA. I don't think my router allows me to set up an alternative for "exception" devices either.

Meh, not to worry. I don't have a DS yet. I would like one, I just have... financial issues concerning a certain ISP I ranted about in General before... grr.... overcharging, customer abusing sons a' bitches.

Because Text Messages are great for... well... short messages.

For instance, my Mum will send me one saying that she's "on her way" when she's running late for something, or send me one advising of a change of time to an existing family event. By sending to multiple recipients, she can advise all the family with a few button presses, and we all know what's going on.

I will send the occasional text message advising of simple things like that too. I've used it in the past to advise former housemates to buy things when they're at the shops, and they've used it to ask that I buy things when I'm at the shops too. It's a hell of a lot cheaper to SMS "please buy milk" than it is to have a short conversation about it as well.

I don't tend to use it as a "social" thing, in that I don't tend to have conversations via SMS often, but it's good for passing on brief messages.

I need to learn a few basic Spanish phrases.

Just enough to say that I don't speak Spanish, and that I'm Australian. Just so that I'm not constantly having Spanish demands shouted at me... (you know how they just keep repeating something over and over and over again, while you go "I don't know what that word means!!")

That I think is all I really need to say. That and that I'm very bad at the game. Because I am, and I'm sure many people here can attest to it. I can either get better or worse if I've been drinking too
