You would likely need a patch or something that does it. Different games have different 'no cd" patches / cracks. There generally isn't a generic solution that will work for every game, unless you're running isos off HDD via something like Alcohol and even then...

| Personally, I don't mind the OS-tans in the original context I first came across them.
It seemed to me that somebody with a sense of humor about computing created a bunch of female, anime-styled characters with personalities based on the flaws and strengths of the Operating Systems they represent. These characters were then depicted in little gag-strip style manga where they poked fun at these flaws. From that start though, the fandom did go somewhere that I don't like as much -- where the characters seem not so much to have personalities and such as much as they are just yet another anime sex symbol. Then came a bunch of other -tans with even less substance behind them. I liked the nerdy jokes to start with though. I was particularly amused that Norton was a pervy old doctor... seems in keeping with what Norton does to Windows in reality  And ME-tan's ditziness is appropriate.(edited by Tarale on 07-06-06 06:56 AM) |

I understand what you mean about a happy ending. I haven't exactly had things easy myself, and I hope I'll have one myself. | There's something about Scientology that I just don't like. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard anything positive about them at all. They freak me out.
I did enjoy a little segment on The Chaser's War on Everything though, in which they set up a table in front of the local Church of Scientology, and offered free Gullibility tests. If you were gullible enough, you could join the church!  |

| Ah.... good to see you've learned that a little bit of a lapse or treat certainly isn't the end of the world.
I've been naughty this week myself. But I'm still losing weight so that's good My eating is starting to become a little irregular, but I think it's cause I'm tired.
Glad to hear it's all working out for you too. Keep at it, it sounds like you're on track despite some things. Keep yourself working on it and you should be fine. Like I've already said -- if you slip up, just get right back on track again, and it sounds like you are.
The big question is -- how are you feeling? I found I feel a whole lot better... how are you feeling? More energy and such?? |

It just got really really really itchy for months and months, and the skin was flaky... and itchy.

| You're 14. I dunno what exactly it is about that age, but trust me, even nice girls are likely to be a bit fickle with regards to "relationships" at that age.
It's an awkward age for everybody, male or female. For the first time in your lives you're starting to experience a depth of emotion that you were not physically capable of doing before. The result is confusing as hell, and it's likely to result in some stuff that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I don't think your female friend is trying to be difficult. My guess is... I think what's more likely is that she's found herself in the middle of some complex and conflicting emotions here with this situation, and she probably believes they are in some way mutually exclusive. She's probably a whole lot more comfortable with the friendship-relationship she has with her friend than she is with the romantic-relationship she has with you, so she's gone the "safe" option for her, emotionally. At least, that's my guess, remembering what I could of the emotional headfuck confusion that was "14 years old". I know that I would have chosen to retain the safe, comfortable relationship with my friend rather than risk it for a boy at that age... |

| Well, I tend to be a bit funny about them. With me, I guess they have to be fairly low-key.
I don't mind stuff that's small and appropriately placed, but generally I'm not big on them. I prefer something that's symbolic rather than a great big mural too. |
