Yeah, this keyboard's pretty noisy. I'm not sure about wake the dead noisy, but noisier than an average keyboard.

All the Microsoft natural keyboards seem to be a bit noisier in my experience. I have one at work and I'm the noisiest typer because of it. Clients can hear me typing and freak out at how fast I sound.

I was hoping for something in a more normal noise range but considering it's okay now.. meh. I think I'll just use my laptop for a while anyways.

You know... I don't know what bothers me more. That you believe that there are "levels" of nerdiness, or that you seem to think that being more nerdy is bad thing.

I get the distinct impression that "nerdiness" at all is a negative thing to you (the fact that you've used it as an insult for one).

I believe you about that. Love can really kick you in the head and leave you with scars that never quite get to being right again.

Like if a lover betrays your trust, sometimes you wind up with trust issues, or particular subsets of "trust issues". It might become harder for you to trust.

Not to say that it leaves you completely screwed up forever, but depending on what caused the downfall of a relationship, there may be things that you have more hang-ups about. Trust being pretty much the obvious one...

It's not meant for people who have experience with HTML. =p The only thing I hate about page creators like this is the way they can be so limiting. I wouldn't mind a page creator if it didn't force you into certain setups.

But is it possible to create something this simple without limitations??

I'm not sure if it's possible to offer both creative freedom and extreme ease of use. There has to be some kind of middle ground and generally it errs on the side of basic usability and not creativity.

Sad situation, but maybe as the population grows into the age of the "information super highway" this may not remain such an issue.

I dunno. As a kid whenever i hurt myself I used to put the wound in my mouth (if possible) and then mumble "ow" ("mmmmm!!!") or "it hurts" ("imph humphhhh"). It seemed to hurt less that way. I still suck on any cuts on my fingers. I also act like a complete drama queen.

I'm certainly used to the taste of blood. Does not worry me that much, it's a little sweet depending on if you're nice and oxygenated...

I rent, so there's little that I can do to the actual structure of my place. I can't install shelving to walls, I can't paint, etc.

That said, I'm in the middle of redecorating to some extent. Most of my furniture sucks. So, I've been saving up for new furniture. I've bought a bed, which cost me $1999, and is VERY comfortable. I'm very happy with it, but it being good only seems to serve to highlight how crap the other furniture / lack of furniture is in the room.

My next major project I'm saving for is a couch. I'm also saving for shelving and such so that I can store a whole heap of my junk.

I had pizza last night! I'm naughty! I've been trying to eat well, but that was bad of me.

I'm trying to make the chinese chicken sweetcorn soup again tonight. I'm hoping it will go better this time. I'm going to have it with fried rice.

I'm not sure if I was making a suggestion, I just thought that's what you were driving at.

At the moment the system's automated based on the only thing I can think of it that you could automate easily -- post count -- I can't think of any other automatic way of doing things, so that would leave a manual solution, which as you pointed out is flawed too.

Also, it might be worth noting that what you consider "spam" and what I and other posters consider "spam" might be entirely different things. As you generally seem to post in very serious topics I would gather that you have a very high standard for expected post quality.

Yes, but that forum's been here in the four...five or so years I've been here, it's part of the place. It's always been pretty silly too. I personally have no problem with it, but then there is no expectation for me to participate in it or anything so for the most part I ignore it. It obviously provides a lot of enjoyment for some members of the forum though, and I would have to argue that this place would not be the same without it. It may be silly, but it's a social centre of this place to a large extent.

Would you feel happier perhaps then though if that forum did not contribute to the post count / personal title of users?

Dammit, I want Indian so bad now.

Oh well, I have leftover homemade fried rice and chinese chicken and sweetcorn soup so I had better eat that.

The chicken and sweetcorn soup still didn't turn out right, I think my problem is somewhere in the whole chicken stock thing. Last time the stock was too salty, this time... I'm not sure what exactly was wrong this time, but it was wrong... tasty, but wrong.

The fried rice was good though. But it's probably a little tricky to mess fried rice up.
