I just had the best coffee.

All the coffee I get from Bean Bar (local Adelaide small business) is "the best coffee" though. Those guys know how to make a REALLY FUCKING AWESOME ESPRESSO.

Mmm... mocha latte with three shots of espresso. Oh yeah.....

I think there's a great windows emulator that runs on Linux. Not sure how effective it is, but I believe it's called WINE (WINdows Emulator). Great to check out, to say the least.

WINE is okay for some things, but won't necessarily run everything fine. Some programs will run quite well under WINE, but I had no luck getting some of my applications to do much more than spit out some of the bizarrest error messages I have ever seen.

God it was funny

Another thing that annoys me about Microsoft is their bundling of software with things. They'll be bundling Windows Defender with Vista, for example. I know why they're doing it, but I wonder where it leaves companies like Lavasoft...

Well, I'm hoping a newer Microsoft keyboard will be less clicky than the old one.

The old one was noisy as hell, and so is the Microsoft Natural Keyboard I use at work. I don't know if it's a "feature" of the Natural Keyboard, or not, but I am hoping that the newer ones will have a softer touch to them and make less bloody noise!

If they don't, I'm going Logitech.

Axe. I really don't care about the smell or anything, it's just something you use to not smell like ass anyways.

My ex used to call it "shower-in-a-can".

Hmm... wouldn't something like "free porn!" or "free ROMs" or "read this to become admin" work better?

By giving up 10% of the money you get, you're showing you love God more than money, and have trust (and faith) in God to return it to you "pressed down, shaken together, and running over". Apparently, when figuring her tithes for the winnings, that in the eyes of the church, and probably her own, were the result of God's favor, she decided she didn't trust in God that much. Not accepting the 0.27%, was simply telling her, this doesn't count as a sacrifice. To me he would have been more greedy to accept the $5000, since he had no way of knowing she would come back with more.

But this makes an assumption -- that the Pastor believed that the $5,000 was the ONLY sacrifice this person was making. Yes, it might have been the one that THEY saw, but what if they had made a $100,000 donation to a Children's Hospital or somesuch as well? Does that mean they don't love God enough too??

Now, not that this was the actual case, but I still think it's rude for the Pastor to have made the assumption that the $5,000 was the only donation that this person was making to anybody, full stop.

Well, I often find that standard keyboards (non ergonomic, ie, not the split keyboards) generally aren't as loud and clicky.

But all the ergonomic / split keyboards are horrendously noisy. I don't see any logical reason why they should be, but every one I've ever had has been the noisiest damn thing ever.

Unfortunately I cannot use a standard keyboard for longer than half an hour before my wrists hurt like hell, so I deal with a clicky as hell keyboard. I am very much hoping that logitech make a non-clicky one as the Microsoft ones are all bloody noisy.

Blah. We need to invent a way of hitting people over the head with things via the internet. Seeing as nobody actually reads anything...

Of course, I never really look at the keyboard, anyway.

The other problem I had with the Microsoft one is that it was so fricken huge it wouldn't fit on my small desk. Had a gazillion other buttons besides the actual keyboard. And again, Microsoft ones are clicky.

I found a retailer in Western Australia

I think I'm going to defrost chinese Chicken and Sweet Corn Soup.

I'd tell you how to make that but I kinda stuffed mine up a bit so maybe I'll wait till I've perfected things somewhat. It's relatively easy just needs fine-tuning.

The party went REALLY well, I offset the amount of food and alcohol I ate by dancing a LOT - all the really embarrasing ones, the Cha-cha slide included. The intensity of these dances probably helped me burn all the calories off. Recently though I feel I'm slipping gently to my old ways. Work has become exceptionally stressful, and that coupled with some depression has made me stretch the rules somewhat - I even had a chocolate bar (my first for a month). That said the fact I've observed the slippage is a good thing as I'm resolving to do something about it.

I'm going to a friend's house in a couple of weeks to de-stress, although the alcohol I'll drink (I drink like a fish when I'm there, posibily cause they do) will max out my points totals, but I think I NEED to relax or I'll blow this diet big style.

Overseas Taryn?

I Wish!

I do miss my friends a LOT, I feel a bit cut off cause of work. I'm sorry for not posting as much as before.

NE ways, till next time.

Mischief managed.

lol... you mentioned Paris! That's overseas! I take it that's something still in the works?

Don't stress too much over the booze and stuff. Make sure you do a bunch of stuff when you're there that's fun. Is there anywhere fun to go for a walk and go sightseeing? Go clubbing and do a bunch of dancing

And if you slip, just get back to it again I do. I'm not exactly focused, but I'm getting there with things myself, slowly -- keep at it and you will too. And make sure you have lots of fun when you can.

Like I said before, this isn't some short term thing, this is a change of lifestyle. You shouldn't deprive yourself of fun stuff, it's okay to slip up sometimes. Going out and having fun and still being okay is part of the learning curve. You'll work out the "rules" of the game and how far you can go with things, and then it's all a matter of fine-tuning.

You know, I don't think it's supposed to be the name of the song. I think it's the lyric that most people immediately recognise.

I remember watching a lot of movies with my olds in the 80's. Die Hard for one, and the Indiana Jones movies. I think we got our Beta video back then and we used to get lots of stuff. Then beta started getting rare.... last movie we were able to get for Beta on hire was Ghost.
