I'm not going to comment on whether I'll play it or not (that will depend on other things), I just think this is a poor choice for a name; unless maybe Nintendo's intention is to create a whole bunch of internet jokes. I find it hard to believe that they're going to be able to "market away" the toilet humor puns. No matter what, it's still going to sound weird when you say -- in all seriousness -- that you're playing with your Wii, or that you're having friends over to play with the Wii, or whatever. Gaming is supposed to be a recreational activity sure, so I guess there's no need for a name to be serious as such, but I don't see why it has to be this ridiculous either. Hell, I'm sure my Mum will find it funny. She already feels the need to make the obligatory "you pea-d on the table" joke everytime anybody knocks peas off their plate... |

| I think "convenience" is going to come down to the individual and their needs and expectations of an OS. I also think that OS bashing is a pretty stupid and pointless past-time.
I find Linux "inconvenient" for some things, and very "convenient" (or perhaps a better word -- useful) for others. I find my Mac useful for some things, wnd Windows useful for some things. 
On Microsoft -- I think they certainly have had too much influence over a lot of things, but AFAIK, that influence is waning recently. Once upon a time, it seemed like everything was always about Microsoft... but with the massive delays with Vista, and things like Linux and OS X rising in popularity, as well as Google and such, I'm not sure Microsoft are as "powerful" as they once were. What IS becoming a concern -- because it influences companies like Microsoft and Apple -- is the piracy stuff, yes. But the push for this isn't coming from Microsoft -- and it won't just affect Windows. The DRM movement has some very nasty little ideas -- I worry that Microsoft may simply roll over and aim to please the DRM overlords; but would like to hope that Apple and other vendors take a stand against overly restrictive and invasive DRM measures. |

And then what I find disappointing is that progress in some of these areas seems to come up against various roadblocks in preference to continuing to use fossil fuels.  Some of these roadblocks are technological, but some of them... well... aren't.  |

| Uh.... I'm not sure about the second part of what he's said, but they are starting to wonder if the UV rays blocked by sunscreens are the ones that need to be blocked, or not, from what I last heard (source unknown sorry)
I'm not sure they're still sure which ones have been linked to cancer or not. The saturated and unsaturated fats thing I certainly disagree with, mostly cause of a lot of stuff I've read by Dr John Tickell at the recommendation of a doctor friend in Melbourne. I'm going to fence-sit on the idea of sun exposure, as there ARE significant benefits to getting enough sunlight. I thnk the key here is how MUCH sun.  |

Yes, there is anime and manga pornography. There's other cartoon pornography out there too (I'm sure I've seen some rude things done by the Simpsons before....). There's ALL kinds of wacky porn out there.

Yes, some hentai is pretty out there, too, although there is a lot of really weird live-action pornography available as well. But here's something really good about hentai and other drawn stuff: It doesn't hurt anybody. No women (or men) are exploited. Nobody gets injured, nobody injures anybody else. No animals are exploited or injured either in the case of weird stuff. So it just comes down to being a bit of more or less harmless titillation for the artist and viewer. And yes, sometimes it can be artistic as well. Sometimes it can even be romantic. There are lots of romantic h-doujin out there where the emphasis is on the relationship between the two people rather than close ups of their genitals while they boink each other.

Can't say I eat pencils, but I have been known to chew on things for their texture before. Antacid tablets are crumbly.

Hmm... and I don't think I even have a pencil (mechanical or otherwise) at work. I know I have several at home, but I wouldn't know where right now..... still can't find things after I moved.

Now I don't mind so much. People are aware of it, and a lot of people are happy using it, that's all I wanted. I don't really care for market dominance so much

There is nothing wrong with liking a particular style of music either. There IS something wrong if you think that you have to behave, act or dress a certain way because of it. And I completely disagree with this constant relation between a music style and a depressive state. Emo is 'emotional music" but that doesn't mean it's okay to say that all emo fans are overly "emotional". And getting upset over being "emo" is stupid too. Just be your fucking selves and stop putting immature labels on people, particularly based off a music style.
