As far as funniness goes (and I know this is a matter of personal interpretation) I find Alastor to be much funnier.

As for that other work, the only thing that was done in photoshop was touch up work, so I consider that to be pretty damned good. Find me another piece on the internet where the primary tool of creation was MSpaint, which is better....

You can use a disposable razor a few times before you need to throw it out, but yes, they should at least be stored safely.

Oh, another thing I remembered -- a good shaving cream / gel works wonders too.

The one time I cut myself, it was an older razor when I thought just that once I could get away with using soap instead of shaving gel (was broke). Nice little nick on my leg. Stung a little with soap and hot water in it.

Hmm... the only thing that broke that night as far as I recall was a few glasses and bottles, and several braincells in my head thanks to alcohol excess.

Not as many braincells as my companions though o.o

Okay, if God is going to punish these people -- why is it YOU feel that YOU must engage in hateful and bigoted behaviour?

Isn't it's God's job to worry about these things, not yours? Again, if my understanding of things is correct, I think it's your job to try to be a good and kind person (to everyone), not make judgement against others....

"Despair" is spelt with an e as the second letter, not an i

Otherwise, carry on. This place needs more Princess Bride references.

Yeah, any browser based on the IE core has the same vulnerabilities that IE has, which is many. So lololol is likely to be more secure.

You know that "0xblahblah" you mentioned in the thread title?

That actually means something. Tell us what it REALLY says, and then you can look up the Microsoft Support article on it. It will tell you whether you are looking at a hardware or software problem, and what the nature of the exact problem is.

There are lots of reasons why you might get a blue screen, can't really tell you much without that "0xblahblah" code

I've been of the impression that it's wrong because it's cruel. They can't consent to it, so I guess it's "rape" of a sort, I'm sure it's probably hurting a lot of animals too.

So yeah, it's cruel.

Ah. I'd seen the first Bob the Angry Flower, but not the second.

I like Penny Arcade's "Bad Boys of Punctuation" myself. I even have them on a shirt. Which nobody I know in "real life" gets.

And I've seen far too many people who started and then that was pretty much the entire basis of their lives. Their plans involved when they would next smoke up, their conversations with friends were little more than plans to smoke up and discussions of previous times when they had, etc.

I know someone like that. Any time I see him, it's "I got so f@#$ed up last night duuude... you should try it with me! It's awesome."

Yeah, like I want to sound that lame anytime I see someone.

Granted, that's stereotypical of me, but if it keeps me away from the stuff, I hardly care.

That said, those kinds of attitudes aren't typical of everybody who smokes. It seems to me though that it is a common attitude among younger people who are relatively "new" to it (it's also similar to the equally appalling attitude some younger people can have regarding alcohol).

It's disappointing that people with that attitude make everybody else who smokes look "dumb" by association.

I had a good friend Erick that was into this stuff. I was always fine with it because he never said anything to me because I didn't do this stuff. We always talked how we were going to go to college and become video game designers, we were really close. His dad worked at Mount Union, a college in Ohio, which he could have gotten in easier (or so I've heard). He stopped for a whole summer and was saying how much better it was. Then he started hanging out with those other people again. After that year of school, I haven't talked to him since. His older brother is going to Mount Union now, and I seen Erick a couple weeks ago walking the streets like a random thug. He went into life skills class and then ended up dropping out of those which seems sad and when I think about it, I probably won't see him again.

This is why I don't smoke pot or do any drugs for that matter. I don't know how bad they truly are, but it just seemed to control my friend Erick.

Yeah, unfortunately some people are like that. People react differently to pot, and your friend appears to have been on a fairly extreme end of the spectrum. Not everybody is affected so profoundly by it or controlled as much, but it's very sad when people are. My brother was like that to a huge extent as well.

Not necessarily. It could be a form of overcompensation. If you're really worried about looking like a dumbass because of your spelling and grammar, than you might prove to be extra careful, to the point where you overcome your handicap and end up, well, having good spelling/grammar.
What? No. I eventually managed to get reading and writing to make sense, and though I periodically screw things up in ridiculous ways I tend to notice and fix them. Other people don't try, and that's sad

I try to make sure my text is at least readable, and go to some effort to make sure that I am fairly easy to understand. Good (or at least, passable) grammar and spelling are all part of that.

However, I will admit that I do mess up every now and then. Sometimes I'm even appalled at my own mistakes, because they're usually silly things that I KNOW that I know! I'm going to chalk those up to tiredness / brainfarts (and I try to fix them when I notice them).

"AIM shorthand" isn't always bad, but there is a line somewhere.

I don't mind speaking to somebody over IM who might abbreviate "fucking" to "fkn", or have a few acronyms such as "rofl", "afk" or whatever. The occasional abbreviation or acronym doesn't worry me.

I don't even mind the occasional silly speak "omgwtfbbq", depending on context.

What bothers me is when every second word is abbreviated to the point where it no longer resembles the English language, or when it's all silly.

I don't see the point in abbreviating words that are already short via AIM either ("you" to "u") nor do I see any timesaving qualities to not capitalising the letter I when referring to oneself. The only time I will find "you" to "u" acceptable is if somebody's written me a particularly long SMS Text Message and needs to save up the character space. ~_~

I talk in my sleep, I've even woken myself up doing it.... I don't know what I was in the middle of saying, but the words that woke me were "shopping trolley".

I don't think I do it often though, from my understanding it seems to be something that I do when I am very tired, stressed, or preoccupied with something.

My ex used to talk (very loudly) in his sleep, and was able to hold conversations with others in his sleep.

Things I have heard him say in his sleep:
"you just get Telstra to get you a PAPL line. They connect your phone line at the Waymouth Exchange..."
NO DON'T WARRANTY IT WITH IBM!!!!
Not now, maybe later

He also answered a support call in his sleep, solved the problem and ended the phone conversation, without waking.
