Well, yes, everybody's already mentioned me, but yes I used to be at the Citadel, and I was a webmaster and board administrator for a fairly long period of time.

The Site is now managed by Reeve.
The Board is now managed by Digital Holocaust (AKA Venny)

I work on an IT Help Desk.

I work for the South Australian Education Department and along with my colleagues we support all the schools and kindergartens in the state, as well as Family Day Care centres, District offices and state office.

I help them with custom applications as well as with general Microsoft Office, or IE kind of things. I also support their internet services as well.

I work permanent full time, and most the time I'm on this board I'm at work

I'd tend to think that proper dishes would wind up less expensive, but then I don't have a dishwasher so I'm not prone to the high amounts of electricity and water wastage that those things use up.

This is likely a question for somebody clever like Rydain, but I thought I'd ask generally as well....

How in the sweet hell do you lose weight / body fat?

I've been good all year, steadily increasing the amount of fruit and vegetables in my diet, eating less meat and more fish, eating nearly no processed foods, exercising daily, drinking lots of water... hell, I've even cut out chocolate (and I'm a chocaholic...). I haven't been sneaking myself sweets or fatty food either.

Despite being really, REALLY good all year, I've lost maybe half a kilo of weight (1.1 lbs)

I make sure to have breakfast, lunch and dinner, I make sure to get enough sleep... I just can't seem to lose any damned weight.

It's been a month now of being really, really good... it's starting to feel like a waste of time though. At last check, I'm 74.2kg (163.24 lbs), and 35% bodyfat. At the beginning of the year, I was 75kg (no idea of bodyfat percentage).

So, is there some trick to it I'm missing?

It says I'm a slacker, but the questions weren't really well suited to me.

I'm very concerned about money but not for reasons of greed but for those of self-preservation.

I used to be appreciative of chocolate in bar form. I used to be a sucker for Mars Bars.

Now I'm too much of a "chocolate snob" and I don't eat chocolate in bar form anymore. Chocolate comes in truffle form or block form and comes from boutiques. It is expensive, so but that's okay because small quantities of really good chocolate are enough.

My tastes vary from white to dark chocolate, but I eat more dark chocolate than any other variety. 70% cocoa is where it's at.

However, as we are discussing this.....

I used to adore Mars Bars, and I used to love Cherry Ripe bars. I think Cherry Ripe are something you only get in Australia, but it's essentially cherry and coconut covered in dark chocolate.

I have tried Hershey's and didn't like it. I have tried those Peanut Butter Cups and really... I don't get it. I didn't like it.

I've tried chocolate from the US and the UK and I really wasn't fond of US chocolate. It's too sweet and sugary and the consistentcy isn't as creamy as the UK chocolate.

I still prefer my Australian boutique chocolate or my Swiss chocolate over both though

Well, at the moment my exercise is mostly walking, but I am pretty out of shape. It's not a slow pleasant stroll, it is a very quick walk (as fast as I can go... my legs don't seem to move any quicker) and most of it's uphill. It's enough to leave me a little out of breath, so it must be okay for now.

I don't like to jog, it really hurts my knees, but I will have to give it a try when I can. Maybe bike riding, only I am a little frightened of Adelaide traffic; an exercise bike may be a better option.

I also take the stairs a bit at work. I can't yet go all 17 flights of stairs, but I go 7 of them before my knees hurt too much.

I would prefer to swim, but I have some inner ear problem that's been bothering me since last year and I've been told not to swim. That's meant that I haven't been swimming for a few months now... I was able to swim a couple of km before I had to stop.

Well, the walking seems to be doing something. Up until recently I hadn't seen any significant changes in weight or bodyfat percentage that weren't merely fluctuations (or that one really hot day where I was a kg lighter due to sheer fluid loss)

However, I am able to do my belt up one hole tighter now without it being tight around my belly.

Also, as of today I was not 75kg (165lbs) as seems to have been the standard for a long time now.... I was 73.8 (162.36lbs) Unlike that really hot day I don't think this was due to sheer fluid loss either. So maybe the month + of eating better and exercising is starting to pay off, it was just taking its sweet time.

I strongly dislike borrowing money from other people. All it seems to do is transfer the problem anyways in most cases and/or cause arguments and problems between friends.

I like to do things myself where possible. It's not always easy though, but you get that.

I don't mind loaning money but I prefer not to.

I'm not fond of Fererro Rocher. It's okay though. I would eat Rocher before I eat Cadbury's, Reese's, Nestle, Dove or Hershey's.

Out of the more well-known brands, Lindt is good, Guylian is good.

My favorite chocolatier (Haighs') went and studied with Lindt so it's the "Australian Lindt". They are quite similar, although I think I prefer Haighs a little bit more. I also like a little boutique called Swiss Glory, although their chocolate is a bit sweet, their truffles are devine.

That's because I hate nuts. Seriously... I'm not allergic but unless the nut is "peanut" and the word's attached with "butter", forget it.

I like nuts so I have a feeling that IŽd like that kind of chocolate. What kind of nuts is it in that chocolate bar?

"Bitter is my favourite type of chocolate.

Mmmmm...super-dark."

You mean like those with 95% cocoa? Yuck!

The highest I think I've ever seen is 85% cocoa, but yeah, that stuff's awesome! So deliciously rich.

You know it's better for you than any other kind of chocolate too, right?

Oh, and a Fererro Rocher is not a bar, it's.... if I remember correctly, a hazelnut praline covered in a round biscuit shell with chocolate and peanut bits on the outside. They're little ball shaped thingies.
