I used to bite my nails. It used to be something that I was almost constantly doing.

Then I got braces in Year 8. I couldn't get my fingers in my mouth well enough with the braces to do it anymore.

I haven't done it since. I have been known to use my teeth to clean out under my nails though, which is probably not exactly good either. When I've bitten my nails recently, cause something was uneven, I didn't like how the nails felt afterwards and I get scissors and fix it up.

I added the bunny to the bottom right of the text area, as a faint watermark. Not sure if it should perhaps be marginally fainter.

What do you guys think?

Hmm.. that was odd... perhaps Opera just didn't reload the CSS initially?

It should work in all browsers as far as I know... it's just fairly standard CSS. I'm not clevar enough to do anything fancy

All I really wanted it to do is to break up the whitespace but in a very subtle non-intrusive way... I didn't want to destroy the clean simple look I had going.

I think I've achieved that, and I think I'll call this layout "done" now

It also ties the layout in with my avatar/minipic theme, so that's good too

I agree, I find it less expressive too. I understand why the guy created it; but I really don't find it as expressive.

Meh, well maybe I should design myself a new layout more often. It encourages me to post a little more.

I think the last time I won was probably a year or so ago.... I dunno... can't remember. It certainly hasn't been for a while anyways. I even went through a very short period where I was winning semi-regularly.

Possibly. We DO have strange grooming instincts. It's funny, but a lot of couples will extend it to start grooming each other -- popping each others pimples, removing blackheads, pulling out ingrown hairs, etc.

It depends on your age a bit.

I know older couples who have ten years difference and that's fine. But if it were a 14 year old with a 24 year old....that's not cool at all!

Other than that, I don't think it really matters.

No. Music is not a drug.

However, it releases natural drugs within your brain. Pretty much any time you do something you like (ie, eat chocolate, have sex, listen to music) your brain releases endorphins

So while music itself is not a drug... you might get a buzz from it

Well, there's probably a lot of truth to that advice.

I know that with girls and shaving your legs; before you start your leg hair is soft and light stuff; and after you start shaving it it darkens and becomes stiffer (and then you really NEED to shave). It never gets to the point of men's facial stubble (thank gawd) but it certainly gets darker and thicker than it would be if you'd never shaved it.

I'd assume the same happens with your face.

Again, the images are too big. You really need to consider filesizes when you create a layout.

Your background image is 423.78 KB (433954 bytes)

Let's compare this with the total images in my layout, shall we?
6.93 KB (7098 bytes) and 1.94 KB (1986 bytes)
That's a total of 8.87kb. Actually a bit bigger than I'd like; but a LOT LOT smaller than yours, and a LOT more acceptable for other users to download.

Additionally, it's a scroll layout; which is not considered best practice.

ALSO, it seems to create a large blank area at the top of the page. This is weird and suggests broken code somewhere along the line.

My advice to you -- stop trying to create scroll layouts; and stop using big images. There are other ways to create a layout where you don't rely on a large image to form the entire basis of the layout.

Time is probably all you need. When i was 18 i could at best grow a good goatee but nothing else would come in thick enough to be worth it. Whether it is actually thicker or not I'm not sure; but it certainly looks that way. But then; before I shaved my legs; the hair on there was very fine, and it was all bleached from the sun and such. Now it's less fine (although mine's still pretty fine) and darker.
