I have a bit of a problem. (Yes, I know, I always have problems.... that's just how my life is, okay?) See, we're moving house in a month's time, and the lease here is ending. That's fine; except for a couple of things.

Our Landlord is a bit of a jerk. The lease here is dodgy; it's not registered with the rental people like it's legally required to be, and so I have to pay the landlord in cash every month. That means that I have over a grand on me every month in cash and I walk about with it so I can give it to him. That... I'm actually kinda over. What now pisses me off is before the lease expires he wants some repairs done to the house. This would be normal if it weren't for the fact that the damage he wants repaired isn't damage that we did. It's damage that the previous tenants did, and he's blaming us for it. He wants a room professionally repaired and painted because of four screws the previous tenant put in the ceiling. For starters, I'm offended that he is accusing us of the damage. And then secondly I'm really angry that he expects us to pay a professional to fix it like it's our fucking fault. So, tomorrow when he gets his rent, I'm going to tell him to go fuck himself. I'm going to be nicer than that though, hopefully, but he's the kind of guy who doesn't listen. He didn't listen the first time when we told him that we didn't do that to the ceiling, and we have no way of proving that it wasn't us either, simply because he didn't notice it at the first house inspection at the beginning of the lease. In fact, all he did when we told him that it was already there is give us a big long lecture about how we shouldn't put things in his walls and ceilings and how it's really naughty of us, and blah blah blah (yes, he treated us like children). So what I want to know is.... do you think there's a way of telling him that we did not do the damage and that we refuse to pay for the repairs without it getting nasty? I know that if he pushes the issue I can always remind him that the rental agreement is dodgy... but do you think it will have to get to that?

And besides, I don't think oral causes tonsilitis. As for the comment about viral infections, I also think that tonsilitis is a bacterial infection. At least, that would explain why they treat it with antibiotics

Well, it's the end of the fourth day of the New Year, and I've been behaving myself pretty good, so that's a start.

I haven't been drinking to excess or anything (minus y'know... the actual New Years stuff), I've been eating healthier and exercising more. No change or anything yet though, but then last time I didn't notice any change until about a month after I started, when I broke my diet and 10kg just fell off.

When I go to the next place, before we do ANYTHING we are going to take photos of the WHOLE PLACE. Detailed photos. Photos of the ceilings, walls, etc. Photos that prove what damage is already there, and what damage isn't. Photos of fucking EVERYTHING. That way, if we're ever accused of damaging the place when it was there before us, we'll be able to PROVE it. And then hopefully I won't get screwed over by the next landlord. I think it's going to have to come down to the fact that the current rental agreement is illegal, and I am going to have to remind him of that...

Yep, another one of these threads. Old one is on the old board, but it might be interesting to see if this has changed from before. I also thought I'd ask not only about weight, but about body image this time around as well.

I think last time my questions were: 1. Are you happy with your weight? 2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight? 3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it? And I'll add: 4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)? 5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember) And now for my answers: 1. I am still not happy with my weight, but I am happier so that's a start. 
2. I'm trying still to eat better, and exercise more. I have an ear problem so I had to give up swimming; but I'm trying to walk more every day, and eat less junk. I'm also trying not to stuff myself silly on the non-junk foods I eat, and cut down on some of the slightly naughtier things I like (like fettucini carbonara.. so delicious... but SO much cream and bacon) I also try to drink a lot of water, and climb the stairs at work.
3. N/A 4. Despite not being happy with my weight, I'm actually reasonably happy with my body. This doesn't make much sense really. I think my body shape is fine, just a bit too big, if that makes sense. If I suck my belly in, I think I look pretty fkn good (if I do say so myself) This is an improvement from before, where I wasn't happy with the overall shape of my body (and I was even more overweight)
5. And yes, I've improved since last time I answered these questions. I've lost a little more weight, but generally I feel a little fitter and stuff. I can climb stairs without getting puffed out and such, and my jeans are now getting to the point where I think I need to budget for another pair (and punch another hole or two in my belt in the meantime). Since I started losing weight, I've lost over 13kg (28.6lbs), and I feel less tired and stuff too.
How about you guys?

Click on Internet Explorer Go to Tools and Internet Options Click on the Security tab Highlight the Internet (which has an icon of the globe) and then click on Custom Level Down the bottom of that window there should be a drop down box called Reset Custom Settings. Make a note of what it currently is (so you can change back later) and then set it to Low Click OK, and OK again. Then go test and see if you're still having the problem with Windows Media Player. Note: I make no guarantees of this working; it's just that I know that I have to do this every time I need the codec for Computer Boy (edited by Tarale on 01-04-06 06:50 PM)

Incidentally, Microsoft are strongly recommending against the unofficial patch and advise that their patch will be released on the 10th.

Personally what I'd do is make your picture smaller. Crop the character out a bit / blend the background into a flat color like a red. Then I'd use HTML and CSS to position that picture in the bottom.... right hand corner of your layout. Again using HTML and CSS I'd create a text box that stretches and sits to the left of the character. That way you can see your character; you can see your text, you're using smaller images, etc.
